The pork was flavorful and the veggies were fresh. My husband had his favorite sweet and sour chicken. He enjoyed the sauce which was slightly less sweet than what he gets at home but very tasty. The service was kind and considerate. I imagine many patients from Mayo Clinic eat there because of the location. Our server put the tea in a to-go cup. The pot of tea was huge. I ended up here while I was in the area for business over the holidays (unfortunately), and I was pleasantly surprised to find them open on New Year's Day - which I was very thankful for. I initially misunderstood the concept and thought I was going to a ramen spot, but I'm really glad I stopped in anyway. I started with the roasted pork buns, which were excellent. The pork was incredibly tender, and the sauce was sweet without being overpowering. I also ordered the fried chicken wings (I can never say no to wings). The breading was a little heavier than my personal preference, but the flavor and tenderness were outstanding, so it didn't take away from my enjoyment. For my main dish, I went with their pork bone noodle soup - essentially their take on ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had the perfect chewy texture. Super satisfying, especially on a cold day. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I also appreciated the small details - chili oil on the table and even the disposable chopsticks had a nice design, which I don't think I've seen before. My only minor gripe was parking. With nearby construction and being unfamiliar with the area, it was a bit confusing, and I ended up parking a few blocks away. I think parking might be available at the hotel that this restaurant is in, but I'm not 100% sure. Overall, if I lived in Rochester, this would definitely be a regular spot for me. You find it by coming into the Kahler Inn & Suites across the street from the Charlton building of the Mayo Clinic. This place came recommended to us by friends who have been enjoying their lunch special which is Rice with several options on top. The prices are amazing at $10 and $12 . Lady We want the route of noodle soup because it's been cold outside. We had the braised beef noodle soup and the beef was so tender it came with bok choy and tomatoes. We also had the Steamed Pork Dumplings with Garlic Sauce $7 and was so happy to find the Jjiajiang Mein $14-- the wonderful black bean pork sauce noodle dish that is the number one comfort food in Korea. This place is a hidden gem. I cant believe there is only one review here. But there are apparently more on Google reviews. Located in the back corner of the Kahler Inn and Suites the food here is next level. We stayed at the hotel for a medical procedure and this place became one of our favorites. We have almost tried every thing on the menu. The wonton soup is possible the best deal on the menu. The chicken or pork buns are great appetizers but again all of the ones we tried were. Although we have always ordered to go there is plenty of room and they are soon adding a bar. The people are always friendly and the service is always fantastic. Spicy noodle soup is the best! The roast pork noodle soup is excellent as well but is a little too mild for my taste. The pork is tender and succulent. Carryout container is genius! The noodles, veggies and meats are kept in a separate container that serves as a lid on the soup bowl. Both keep nice and warm - and the noodles are kept fresh without overcooking.
