New to town and have been trying to find a great sushi spot, and have found it! The kindest of service from a family run business, awesome menu selection that was so hard to choose from all the great looking options. Definitely will become a regular here given everything I want to still try.

I cant even say how excited I was to see this open on the SE side of Rochester. A great addition to the area. The menu has Noodle Soups to Sushi Rice Bowl. Plenty of different appetizers. From Wings to Fried Tofu and Egg Roll Lettuce Wraps . They also have Healthy Salad Bowls, Stir Fry's and different Fried Rices combinations. They offer 5 different types of Ramen Noodle Soups from Miso to Shoyu . Even the Pho Noodle Sou has 5 different variations. On my first visit I enjoyed the Egg Roll Lettuce Wraps . Seems a fusion to two great starters. They were crunch and had great flavor . The duck dipping sauce was a great pair. I also enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Rice Bowl $9. It had plenty of Tuna, lots of Rice , Carrots and cabbage . The Rice was Perfectly cooked . This place is very small and I could see filling up quick . I ordered out which might also be a great idea. I look forward to bringing my wife next time .

    Tonkotsu (pork) Ramen, amazing.

If you are reading this right now trying to decide where to eat, ponder your decision no more. The most delicious Asian food I have had in a long time. Will not disappoint, huge but flavorful portions for cheap. We started our meal with the egg roll lettuce wraps which is essentially two egg rolls cut in half ($4) and they were amazing, served on a leaf of romaine and with sweet chili dipping sauce. I ordered a Thai bubble tea, also delicious ($4) For our mains I had the pork ramen and my boyfriend had the sweet soy chicken ramen. Massive bowls, one serving could feed two people or one large man. Each only $10 packed with an assortment of marinated ramen eggs, mushrooms, carrots etc. Delicious chewy noodles and broths you want to bathe in. We also ordered some chicken fried rice, with amazing flavor profile of a well seasoned wok, the Smokey aromatic rice with plenty of vegetables and tender chicken. Amazing. Massive portion enough to have as a side for 5 adults. Only $10. Our bill came to $39 with enough leftovers for an entire other meal. Service was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy, small dining space perfect for a noodle shop. On the south side of town in a rougher area (as rough as rochester can get which isn't bad at all) The ramen we had was perfect for the negative degree weather we were having. Will have to come back for more and also try out the poké bowls and healthy bowls. We ate up the food so fast I didn't even get pictures of it all. Do not skip this place. Amazing amazing amazing.

Excellent and interesting food and reasonable prices for a nice Asian Fusion meal. Worth the drive to the east end of town.

I checked in while still in the car. The business seems closed. I called their phone number but it went unanswered.

Ordering from Vangz Kitchen was super easy. Their online menu is great and explains what each dish…read moreis and customizations available. There is a good variety of Chinese, Hmong, and Vietnamese options (mainly pho). When I picked up my order the location appeared very clean and chill. I wouldn't mind eating in the restaurant. They also have kiosks where you order rather than ordering with a person, but someone was close to greet me and hand me my to go order. Onto the food, my friend ordered the sesame chicken with white rice. The portion is pretty good sized, unfortunately I don't have a photo. The sauce is very dark, and didnt really give sesame chicken as you'd probably expect from other sesame chickens in the twin cities. However it was a nice umami and cooked well. I enjoyed them, but it was not to my friend's taste nor what she expected. I ordered the braised pork belly special with purple sticky rice and Hmong sausage. The pork belly came with one egg, you can add more for an additional cost. The sausage comes with a spicy sauce, which you can also get extra for additional cost. The pork belly was soooo fatty. Like barely any fat rendering seems to have occurred and for being braised and fatty the meat was surprisingly dry/tough. The flavor was very sweet. It would have been nice for a bit more salty/umami to shine through. The egg was yummy, sauce penetrated the egg white pretty completely. Not sure how those are supposed to be in this particular dish, but it was a hard boil, not jammy or anything like that. The Hmong sausage was my favorite, very nice texture and flavor. The sauce is super spicy and pairs well with everything. The purple sticky rice was also perfect. Last, I added on a mango cheese bun which was fresh, lightly sweet, and delicious however it was not made from Vangz. It was pre packed from a St Paul bakery, so still local at least but I was expecting from their dessert options that those were made in house. Overall, the meal was decent. I purposely went with a special dish rather than a more popular choice because I like to show different options in my reviews. I hate when I can't find the whole menu in actual customer photos. If people are only ordering 5 items from you, that says something about your menu and overall food quality. I'm still curious to see what else Vangz has to offer before I write them off. I was torn between choosing the pork belly stir fry or crispy pork belly. I'd also love to try their pho. I will be back to try more and update my review :)

I called this business and told I am excited to Yelp you and I'm trying to support and ( third hint) please give me good order of noodles) The past few times I have given them my Loyal service, the best pictures but have gotten cut-up old noodles and hardly any chicken!
