Last summer, we did end up hiring Albert to fix a leak coming from our bathroom. He seemed very nice on the phone and was very responsive into action. He diagnosed the leak to be coming from the shower pan. As a result, we paid him roughly $11k to completely redo the shower and also remove the shower block windows that appeared to be a secondary leak source discovered after. As we were dealing with the issue remotely, he sent plenty of progress photos and cleaned up after the project well. The problem initially seemed fixed. Unfortunately, the identical leak started again within a year, and we scheduled a date for him to check on the shower but he never made it. We rescheduled for another date but he also failed to show up for that and has ignored our messages to remediate the issue. The problem was either misdiagnosed or incorrectly remediated. Either way, we will have to find another contractor to fix what Albert didn't. Two stars rather than one as he was very pleasant and responsive during the initial project. read more

Albert started off very efficient and quick, which I appreciated. However, after about my third request, things changed. He promised he would come but never showed up. I waited and followed up several times, but he stopped responding altogether. Honestly, it would have been fine if he just said he wasn't available--but ignoring messages completely was frustrating and unprofessional. read more

I can't say enough good things about Al. He is responsive, reliable, honest, friendly and very knowledgeable. If your looking for someone reliable do not call this man. He claims to be a plumber but was not willing to make a statement in writing, and then told me that he works under someone else who would then come and check on his work. He came over to give an estimate on Friday, and on Monday he relinquished that he had no time to just write up that they in fact were polybutylene pipes and not pex, he suggested that he was a "One Man Show". I feel he is unreliable but mostly dishonest in what he presented over the phone originally to later not willing to state what he saw. I am not sure how you can trust someone to be honest with an estimate if he is unsure of what he saw and examined at the home. read more

I put out a request for a quote to wire a hot tub on Yelp and he called me back within a few hours to discuss the work I needed done and his availability so we scheduled for the next day. I was pleasantly surprised when he called back a few hours later and said he had an opening and could come by to look at the work I needed done the same day.
