We took a short trip to Denver and of course i was like..."let me check out yelp for a good place to go." We drove over 30-40 min to check out this store because it had great reviews. I wasn't as impressed with this store as most seem to be. It was first off all very hard to find. Second it seemed to be just Knick knacks about Colorado. Some where cute but almost everything was way over priced. Absolutely did not deserve as high of a rating as the average on yelp. Not sure if the owners or staff are pumping the reviews to drive business. If you are in the shopping area around....I would certainly my walk through....but do not go out of your way to check this place out. read more

I truly do heart Denver so what better way to show it than to support the I Heart Denver store and all the local artists who's goods they sell? I like that this store in in the Pavilions. It's nice to have some local flavor around that area and on the 16th Street Mall in general. Anything you buy here will most likely be 100 times greater than anything you buy at any other souvenir shop, and of a higher quality. I like that I can buy my baby a "Made in Colorado" onesie and that I can buy my husband a similar shirt. And then that I can make them wear these items on the same day. Cuteness overload! I like that I can buy myself many bicycle-themed items (including sweatshirts and glassware.) And that I can probably find a gift for most people on my list in this store. Lastly, I like how friendly the shop owner and/or workers are. They've always been pleasant and helpful. And of course they support the community, which in turn makes me want to support them that much more. If you haven't been to I Heart Denver you are missing out on some cool things and should remedy this as soon as possible. read more

My friend was visiting and wanted a few Colorado souvenirs to bring home. .. when I searched for a local spot to go, this was the most highly reviewed. Once we entered the store (on the second floor of the mall on 16th street), it was immediately clear why this store had such rave reviews. Unlike a Normal souvenir store that is filled with the same cheap stuff, this store is full of gorgeous and one of a kind Colorado made items. My friend easily found a few great items to take home. And as local Colorado residents, we will definitely bring future visitors back and I will be stopping in this Christmas to get some great Colorado gifts! read more

Local artists making products with local pride! I love these kinds of stores. They are my favorite kind of shop to visit when I'm in a new city. I picked up a few souvenirs to support the cause and to bring something home with me. My Yo Colorado hat has afforded me multiple compliments, even from Denver people! There are some really cool t-shirts in here too, printed on multiple manufacturers, most of which are soft and somewhat small business brands. This place doesn't feel like a tourist trap at all, because they're not peddling crap toys and knick knacks. I'd go back here on my next visit for sure. read more

Loved it here. I wanted to peruse and buy souvenirs that weren't the normal, cheesy kind; something a bit more unique and special. Took me a little bit to find (they're upstairs the promenade, from Hard Rock Cafe), but really worth it. What I loved was the fact that their offerings featured local artists. They offered something apart from mainstream gifts, and not everything was very pricey. If you're a craftsy one (or not as even the bf appreciated it), take a look here. LOVE! Happened upon this while walking to a movie at the Pavillions and am so glad we stopped in! This store is so cute - it's full of unique gifts and products made by local Denver artists.I'm a big fan of shopping and supporting local businesses/food/people so when I found this store, it was a match made in heaven for me. There are more than 100 participating artists and 70% of your sale goes back to them. Very, very cool. I came back the next week to buy 2 tumblers with bikes painted on for a gift. They sell tshirts, jewelry, candles, greeting cards and other Denver grown gifts. I know that this will be one of the first places I start looking for gifts going forward. While you can't purchase anything online (strangely, I really like that there's no online option!), all of the contributing artists are linked so you can see their website and a sample of their goods. read more

Huge Fan of this store! Sure, 16th Street is full of gift shops and the like, but everything in this place reflects what makes Denver great - creative local artists, true Denver love, and puppies! This place was totally rad! There were all kinds of paintings, prints, shirts, art objects, toys, and stuff created/made/designed by local artists and designers. We didn't have space in our luggage for paintings, but we bookmarked the artists' websites in my phone so we can browse more later. There were so many neat gift ideas here, it was hard to leave. Very cool store. I'm a fan of any store that decides against cheap made in China junk and instead carries goods made by local artists and merchants. I wish I would have had longer to browse but I was headed to the airport. In the end I went with some pins that said Denver for my geocaching stash and a my friend grabbed a t-shirt for her husband. It's an adorable shop, full of locally produced items you might not find elsewhere. It's the kind of shop I truly WANT to take my tourist friends while in town. I heart this store. I had some time to kill before heading to the airport and of course I couldn't come home empty-handed after a 5 day business trip. I love how the items in this store are made by local artisans and of a higher quality than what you normally think of for city/state souvenirs. Oh they have the usual suspects of t-shirts and mugs and glasses, but also some very thoughtful artwork, glassware, soaps, stationery and much more. The stuffed animal (an owl we named Hoot) I bought for my son donates proceeds to a local no-kill shelter (awesome!). I wish I knew how to ski because I would have loved some ski-themed artwork for myself. But since I did try some local brews, I opted for some cool pint glasses for the home instead. The prices are higher as expected. The folks working here were really nice--they wrapped my pint glasses up really well and they survived the trip back to ORD. The selection is pretty unique. The worker said that most of the items come from local artists, which is pretty cool. Now it's not the "cheapest" place to buy simple souvenirs, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. But I can't knock them too much since the selection is different than most stores. Great store with an eclectic selection of cool stuff - everything from journals made from vintage books, art work, amazingly funny cards, paintings, plush toys, t-shirts etc. The place is always fun to visit, even though Denver the Corgi (whom I had nicknamed Wally the Magnificent) no longer camps out at this location. There is no better place to get a Denver souvenir!!! If you're looking for something unique without spending crazy money, this is your place. All artwork is local and stunning! The employees are very knowledgeable and super friendly! I walked away with so much stuff and still felt like I should have gotten more. This place sells itself! I must say, there's something so absolutely refreshing about this place. It could be the fact that they literally covered the last store's signage over with porous cork and then their tagged on sign. Or maybe it's just the inviting colorful bike glasses that litter the front of the store. Whatever it is, everything little piece of art there is local (if you're into that sorta thing) and all of it is quite affordable. The owners are super nice too! Great selection of every Denver themed item such as cups, themes, t-shirt, stuffed animals and so many are Native American themed style. The reason I can't seem to respectively rate this place 5 stars is seriously the service by the rude sales associates. They have always given me the rudest stare whenever my group and I walk in. and it's frankly not because how we look or what we're wearing. They literally think we're here to shoplift and that itself made me not want to be a frequent shopper at this location. I think the only thing I've ever bought from here was a raccoon hat with a tail- literally that was about it. I felt disrespected. It's not all the sales associates though. It's mainly this short Asian American man. It just Completely awkward that's about it. I always hated the stares, other than that, it's a good store. read more

I heart the idea of this store and think they carry many great local artists. I wish they had more inventory from their artists, however. It is a great, modern space with friendly help, and they do have some very cool merchandise. Just not as much as I expected after viewing their website and clicking on most of the artists links. I was in Denver for a conference during the summer. On my last night in the city, I realized that I had forgotten to get souvenirs for my family and friends! Luckily, I Heart Denver was open and I was able to come in and get everything I needed. The staff are incredibly friendly and helped me pick out a cup for my mother. If you are looking for local art about Denver then you have hit the mother load and this is the place for you. They also have arts shirts and other nix naks that don't have anything to do with Denver, like a poster that says "I have always been more of a Spock person" or something like that. If you are looking for anything major touristy for Denver like snow globes or magnets then look else where like Where the Buffalo Roam for the Look at the key chain I got you on vacation stuff. But if you are more artsy then come here and get a picture of Denver on canvas. I might go back and get a picture of Denver on Canvas for my house. This is truly a unique store. read more

This is my favorite souvenir shop in Denver. Everything is made locally and proceeds from the sale go back to the artist that made it. I do think a lot of the items are over priced but I guess that's what you get when it isn't made in china! The shirts are so soft and clever.
