I love this store! I pop in every time I am on 16th Street. There are so many cute items handmade by local artists, and 70% of the sales go back to the artist of the item. My favorite are their custom notebooks that can be made-to-order. read more

Sure, they have items that are handmade by local artists (and the craft and caliber of their work did seem excellent), but the store is in a mall and it generally feels very corporate-y. Not really digging it... I've see! this kind of store before (from Ohio to Oregon), and I just wasn't impressed, really. I would have liked to see more unique, one-of-a-kind items that I couldn't get anywhere else. read more

What an amazingly cute, not at all tacky, tourist shop! They've got t-shirts, art, postcards, and a whole bunch of other goodies, all made by local artists, and at pretty decent prices. There is tons of stuff that does not say "Denver" or "Colorado" on it, so you can actually find something that you don't regret buying when you get home. I wish I'd had room in my suitcase for some of their larger art pieces, because I saw some stuff I would actually have loved to hang on my walls. read more

What enticed me to go into the store is the corgi. I walked by the store and noticed a cute, little, fur ball.. I walked closer and realized that it was a corgi! OMG. He is ADORABLE. I think his name is Denver? Anyway, I went into the store and realize the store was filled with cute things (jewelry, prints, candles, etc.. -- basically gift items) and they were all locally made. Anyway, I had to buy some souvenir since I was in Denver for a conference.. so I picked up some magnets and a postcard with the corgi on it. Simply adorable. The store and the dog. read more

Probably one of the few shopping highlights in my visit to Denver. The store has some great gift items made by local artists...maybe 10% of the store is comprised of items that don't seem local that I've seen before elsewhere. The Denver the Corgi merch was really cute...I ended up buying a few corgi items for a few friends who love corgis. I wish that they sold Denver the Corgi stationery beyond post cards, though. Who wouldn't want to receive a Denver the Corgi card in the mail? Unfortunately Denver was not at the store at the time of my visit. If he had been, I would probably change my rating to 5 stars instead of 4! read more

Hi, I never really ever take time to do these sorts of things, but I haven't been so disappointed in a long time. See, my husband and I decided to take a short little trip to Colorado and do some hiking and sightseeing. We went to Colorado Springs, and on our last night headed to Denver. We thought it would be great to get our daughters 2 years old and 8 months old little gifts from the store. It was the only store that I liked and wanted to bring back souvenirs from there. I had looked them up online. Well this was Friday July 26th. I checked and saw that they closed at 9 pm, so my husband and I made a 45 minute trip to make it there. We got lost on the way but managed to get to the doors at 8:54. We had an idea of what we wanted, and knew we had to be quick as to not keep your staff there late. Well, we went to open the doors, and they were locked. We looked in an saw a lady organizing some things. She looked at us, we smiled an apologetic smile and figured she would not be too happy to have to open for us, but knew we would get out of her way before 9. She looked at us, finished organizing her things, turned around and walked to the back, then closed the door behind her. My husband just looked at me. He knew how upset I would be. I was. I couldn't believe how that lady treated us, I couldn't believe that she closed early and did not even care to explain or open the door and say some crap answer like she's already counted out her register or anything. No explanation, just completely ignored. We went home with a magnet for our girls because that all we found at the CVS near by. I was so excited to go to the store, but was completely disappointed by that horrible employee. Needless to say, we loved Colorado so much, and will be coming back, but not to those stores. read more

This is the absolute cutest little shop. Unique, one of a kind little knick knacks, and great gifts or decor items. A sign states that a chunk of the proceeds go to local artists so that's always nice, too. Additionally, all of the staff were super sweet and helpful. I look forward stopping by again ! read more

Denver the corgi simply puts this place at 5 stars MINIMUM. OMG, he's soooo cute!!! The place definitely screams local, but not like the tourist trap stores. There are pretty hip Denver art, clothing, and other locally made trinkets that are sold here. I almost got art work but I didn't have room in my suitcase so I got a few postcards. Never thought I'd write a review of a souvenir shop let alone give one 5 stars. To be truthful, I ended up not getting the kids shirts I wanted because they didn't have the right size, but I ended up buying myself a great, locally made tie. If it wasn't that the bar for souvenir shops was so low, the lack of kids' sizes may have made me give it 4 stars, but this place is a tchotchke-free find for any Denver tourist. read more

I received the BEST customer service I have ever received (EVER.) from Anna that works in the I Heart Denver Store!! At first I called completely lost in the outside mall, it was my first time there and I just recently moved to Denver. I was about to fly home to Philadelphia so I wanted to bring home CO presents! Anna helped me find the store while on the phone! Then she offered to help me find what I was looking for! She helped me find awesome shirts in my price range and gave advice on sizes for my best friend that has a difficult body size to buy for. She walked me around the store looking guiding me in my decisions. Which is exactly what I needed because I was slightly overwhelmed by all the awesome things the store has to offer! Also, the store was closing very soon. She kept the store open 10 minutes after closing to close out all of the awesome gifts I was about to purchase! Anna never got annoyed with my questions, she offered sincere opinions, she stayed open for me while making my decision, she never rushed me just because the store was closing. Anna was seriously awesome. Dear Anna's boss, she deserves praise and a raise! I Heart Denver Store is my new favorite store to buy awesome things for family members and friends back home! I confirmed that this is the reincarnation of the Yes Please More shop that was once across the way. Yay! I loved that place and found many unique gifts and wants for myself and others, and was sad to see it go. This place has all that and even more! I found a Denver neighborhood map that I've been wanting forever. I've been checking orkposters.com practically weekly for a couple of years, always hoping they would eventually get to my new fair city, but they just keep ignoring Denver. Well some savvy soul took some liberties with that idea and now I have a bright red Denver neighborhood map ($12 for an 8x10) to finally hang in my very own home! They had lots of different colors and sizes too. This store is totally Coloradical - and now you can buy the organically grown cotton, made in the USA t-shirt, bright blue beer coozie and skateboard belt buckle to say it loud and proud to all your friends. read more

It may seem like just another tourist trap store in 16th St Mall but this a very cute and unique store. Yes it sells Denver themed souvenirs but unlike most souvenir stores in any major city, these souvenirs are locally produced and many are unique to this store. You won't see most of their products in the many other souvenir shops throughout the 16th St Mall. Plus they sell many things besides the traditional t-shirts, magnets and postcards.
