This has all things Denver. It's a cute shop with many touristy souvenirs. I think I enjoyed the employee way more than the store itself. She kept it fun and engaging. I think she enjoyed socializing, but she never overstepped. I would probably visit again just to hang out with the employee. The prices matched the touristy vibe which I wouldn't complain about, but I didn't want to purchase lots of items here. There were some items that were marketed as "made in Denver". Whether that was true or not, I still wanted a few of their goods just to feel like I got something from the city. I'm not mad about the quality of the goods. They delivered for the most part, and I would probably stop by again if I had a reason to feel like a tourist in the future. read more

I use to love this store- I was disappointed when I came in this last time- For one (and yes I understand they are overpriced and cater to tourist-) I was ignored and the two stoners in charge were unprofessional and lost some big sales because of it- I can't say I wasn't in love with half the Colorado gear in this place- (I'm a proud native) But, (yawn....) The marijuana advertising with Colorado has gotten played out- I also noticed in my downtown directory of the mall there was a 10% off coupon to use- I can't say I won't be back because the product they sell (in my book) is in high demand and hard to find original Colorado native gear- But a refresher on customer service would be the key for this establishment - Also there was a now hiring sign which to me can be a reason for lack of attention- read more

This is a great store if you are looking for Colorado/Denver themed clothing. Employees were great. I found a shirt that I loved but all they had out were smalls. The employee I spoke with had no problem getting me a correct size. Out of all the souvenir shops we passed, this was the only place where 2 of us found what we were looking for. I walked out with a super comfortable long sleeve shirt and my friend found the hat she was looking for. I would definitely stop here again in the future. read more

Lets be honest, this place is a major tourist trap. With the walls lined with Colorado paraphernalia you practically can't go 2 feet with out seeing the familiar look of wandering on people's face. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. Decent product but the employees were VERY rude. I asked for help and they directed me from behind the counter. They didn't know what they were talking about either. I asked if they had a dressing room and they rudely said no. My friend tried to buy the same shirt as me but for some reason it was a different price so we asked why and the girls said "I don't know go find another one that's the same price".... So this store just closed a few minutes ago and I made it a point to write this review just about half an hour after leaving the store. I went in and lifted one shirt out of the stack near the front of the store, which was a mens shirt, and asked the employee if they had any in women's after folding the shirt and placing it back on top of the stack. The blonde guy literally responded to me with "our store closes in 11 minutes and I just took the time to fold everything so if you could not mess it up".... He was so rude and sassy, I just left right after. I have had many retail jobs so I understand the frustration with customers throwing clothes down after unfolding them, so I always try to be mindful of that and I certainly never put something back without attempting to fold it. I am from California and only visiting Denver for the day, so I really wanted one of their shirts, and I would have bought one or at least continued browsing the store if the unnecessarily mean employee wasn't so rude. I love Denver and plan to visit again, but will never come back to this store. read more

Purchased this hat at the store for my son and when we got home to Illinois and he removed the sticker this is what we found. Called and they won't exchange or refund without a receipt. Hard to keep track of much, let alone receipts when traveling.They acknowledged that I purchased it there. I lost my favorite CU hat on a camping trip. I called Where the Buffalo Roam on the way home and Liz stayed on the phone with me until she tracked down the exact hat I had lost. DON'T SHOP HERE. I tried to exchange a shirt, the store didn't have the size I was exchanging for. The girl behind the counter who was less then helpful identified herself as the manager and proceeded to tell me if they don't have my size I can exchange the shirt for something else. The store didn't have anything else I wanted. I asked them to refund my money she told me they don't do refunds they only do exchanges. I responded I'd be happy to exchange the shirt for the size I want which you do not have. I again asked for a refund if they couldn't do the exchange. The store had some nice merchandise but I was very disappointed by how unprofessional the employees were. A friend and I stopped in and I planned to buy my fiancé a tshirt. The T-shirt's were folded on a table and I couldn't really tell what was on them, so I unfolded (and neatly re-folded) a few to see the designs. An employee came up and asked if he could help me find anything. I said "no, but thank you." He replied with, "we close in 4 minutes and every shirt you unfold, I have to re-fold." I set a shirt down after looking at it and he snatched it off of the table and said, "just give it to me." I replied that I didn't need anything after all and left. I have worked in retail and I understand that it's frustrating when someone comes into the store near closing (I didn't even realize it was near closing time), but I would have NEVER said that to a customer. Yesterday, I had the absolute worst experience with this store on 16th Street Mall. A friend and I were visiting from out of town and it was our last night in Denver. We had yet to get any souvenir clothing and figured 16th St was the best option. We stumbled across Where the Buffalo Roam and stopped in. The store was very clean and organized. We each picked up a couple t-shirts to look at the sizing and designs. Matthew came over very friendly and offered his assistance and if we had any questions or needed help with sizing. There was one other store we wanted to check out before actually purchasing something, so we went there next, but didn't find anything so we headed back to Where the Buffalo Roam to buy the shirts we had originally looked at. This is where everything went downhill. I picked up two shirts to decide between. Matthew came up to me, asked where I was from, and I responded back, Iowa. He then said to me, "this is probably going to sound rude, but everytime you pick up a shirt, I have to refold it and I see you are just carelessly putting them back." I told him that I had only picked up two shirts, one of which I was hoping to buy, and that I have worked in retail and am always sure to not mess up piles and fold things back to my best ability. He continued to argue with me until I finally said "okay" and continued looking through the store, being cautious not to pick up "too many" shirts. I picked out my shirt and headed to the register. Matthew ended up checking me out. This is where he began yelling at me. Telling me that "if every customer shopped like you do the store would look like a tornado went through". I very kindly tried explaining to him that I worked several years in retail and understand the frustration, but that is also part of the job, and that the store looked very nice and clean. He continued to raise his voice at me, called me a traitor on retail because I picked up too many pieces of clothing. I told him that I wanted to make sure I got the right size and design that I wanted. He continued to be insanely rude to me. This went on for at least 5 minutes as other customers waited in line behind us, listening to the entire conversation. At this point I told him, "please ring my stuff up and stop talking to me." He told me, "I thought Iowa people were supposed to be nice." The entire store was watching/listening at this point, my friend was so embarrassed and uncomfortable that she ran out of the store, even though she had paid for her shirt, and left it at the register. I told her that she needed to go back in, because she was not going to pay for the shirt and then not take it home. She is very shy and hated the idea of having to go back in. She ended up going back in, where Matthew continued to talk badly about me to her for several minutes. I have seen several reviews about this happening with this guy. He is horrible for this business and represents the world of retail terribly and feel bad for the owner of the store. My parents own a business, that I also work for, and know how important it is to have good employees. Hopefully the owner realizes he is not an asset to their team. Until then, I hope my extremely lengthy review helps others avoid a situation like I had. read more

I bought a shirt for a rockies game that canceled. I came back one hour later and was told with a receipt that i couldn't get my money back. The guy was really rude and refused until i asked to speak to his boss. He acted very unprofessional and slammed the money on the counter. If you are visiting Denver or live here there are a ton of other places you can go to get cool stuff. Don't go somewhere that treats you as bad as they treated me. I will never come back again.
