First, I never ever give 5 stars except for today. I was impressed. Coming from Southern California we are known to have the best Mexican food. Well, this little gem in Springfield in my option might be the best I've tried. We got the carne asada burrito and of course we wanted to try the tacos (asada and pastor). The carne asada flavor was perfect. The quality of the beef was perfection. Not much fat and or chewy part where you either have to spit it out or you have to force swallow. None of that happened with every bite. The pastor (not a pork eater) but I had to try it. It has the perfect crunch and softness. The flavor was well blended. It did not have much cinnamon taste to it. The corn tortillas they use for the tacos was perfect. It's not oily or doubled. The burrito itself was hands down the best! Straight to the point. The service was straight to the point. We didn't wait long at all and everything is made to order FRESH! I had to take home a burrito as we are 7 hours away. We definitely will go back here everyday during our visit to Springfield. read more

Just went for the first time. I had the Birra tacos. Very Good! They just moved there truck a month ago to the opposite side of the street at the Shell station heading west on Chrstnut expressway toward the airport before the 44 fwy on the left. Authentic Mexican food. read more

I tried this food truck at a company picnic and omg delicious. I'm usually not a fan of food trucks but I'm VERY impressed. I ordered a steak quesadilla which was seasoned to perfection and a seasoned chicken burrito that was equally seasoned well. Portion size was great. Cooked hot and fresh to order. Staff were friendly, and professional. They provided a buzzer that took about 10 min to buzz but it was well worth it . Kudos for impressing me , I'm hard to please. Mark this one in the books guys . These tacos are legit! Tortillas seem homemade with fresh onion and cilantro and all the meats are well seasoned and flavorful. I also had a chicken burrito and it was great! Okay first of all, I will say I tend to not get the best tacos in the Springfield area. I mean, they are usually basic crunchy tacos, no flavor, meat is gross, etc. I have never see street tacos. Now mind you, I don't live there so this is just from my numerous visits and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to send me those. I am used to tacos from multiple areas of Mexico and southern Arizona. My mom picked me up at the airport and gave me two tamales at home after a quick steamed microwave run and they were actually really good! The masa was delicious and the meat as seasoned very well and wasn't dry. I really liked them with the green salsa. Great flavor. Fast forward, my mom is about to drop me at the airport to leave and we swung by the shipping container to get some tacos before flying out. We walked in and the container was freezing. I mean freezing to the point you could see your breathe. All good though because they have plenty of seating outside in the sun where it was way warmer. I got 3 carne asada tacos with onions and cilantro and the tomatillo salsa. Everything was perfect! I mean some bomb tacos. The best I have ever had in Missouri for sure. They will filled with meat. Pretty packed. Great flavor and the salsa I could have drank. It had a kick to it too. Love this place. Conveniently located right off Highway 44, I Love Tacos is a no frills, great Mexican taco stand. No seating indoors, but there are some picnic tables outside, or get it to go! The carne asada tacos were great. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp taco - flour tortilla, shredded lettuce, and a creamy chipotle sauce that i would categorize as "fine, I guess". Wouldn't order it again. The rest of the meal was great. This place is right next to a truck stop and appears to attract a large customer base from truckers who want some great food after a long day. read more

My girlfriend and I were from out of town and were looking for some great tacos that reminded us of our favorite Taqueria back home. We went to Google and found I Love Tacos Taqueria and was very glad we did. Located across the street from a large truck stop is the quaint little taco venue at the back of a large rock parking lot. The parking lot had to be large because of the amount of traffic this place handled. We were there in the mid-evening hours on a Monday and judging by the line out the door, we thought they were giving the tacos out for free. Although they were not free they were very reasonably priced and well worth the money. If you have ever been lucky enough to travel around Central America, you know that Authentic Tacos are different depending on which region you are in. For many Americans on either side of the US southern border, Tacos are an important comfort food. This holds especially true for this Texas native gringo. My girlfriend and I eat tacos at least once every single week and most weeks we gobble down three to four tacos three or four times a week from our local Taqeria.. We are addicted to them. Thankfully, I Love Tacos Taqueria helped fulfill our addiction. We were served quickly, with friendly customer service and we devoured our tacos and fresh-tasting tamales at one of the two small two-person bar-height tables inside the container converted into a lobby for the venue. There was picnic table space provided under a pavilion outside but I was hoping to wait out the crowd to ask the operators questions about them and their establishment but after over an hour of watching the line just get longer we finally had to leave. Make sure to call ahead as it can take a lot of time to get your food. I always order the steak burrito. Most the times its a pretty good sized burrito. The rice in the burrito is so good and think is what's makes the burrito one of the better ones in town. I really wish they would give you more than one salsa. Heard alot about this Taco truck from many people so I decided to try it out today. They was kinda busy when I arrive. Its a nice area, next to the flying J gas station on chestnut expressway on the right side. Very noticeable so u won't be lost looking for the truck. I ordered 6 asada and 6 al pastor tacos. They give me those beeper, which is cool at a food truck. I waited about 15 minutes, which isn't bad. Got home and excited to try it out. The pork (pastor) was very delicious and tender. The hot sauce compliments the meat very well. The steak (asada) was a bit dry, tasted not bad. I prefer the al pastor better because its more flavorful. I will come back and try again. What a great little taqueria! We stopped here on our way driving through to get some very much needed Tacos after being in the north where it is hard to find authentic Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. We ordered Shrimp, Lengua, & Pastor tacos as well as some tamales. All of the food was great including the shrimp. For the food: The presentation was fine, but the food was bland. The steak seasoning was bland, the salsa was bland. It also took a long time to get the food. (I know this is a taco truck and food takes longer, this was longer than average for a food truck). Honestly I was hoping for much more given the reviews, but it was just "meh" for me. 9/9/2020 I'm not sure where all this mind-blowing food is that people are talking about. Is there a trap door somewhere that leads to where the good stuff is? Because all I got were some mediocre tacos. The person that served me at the window was unfriendly, and she could spend some time improving upon her customer service skills. After she placed my food on the counter, I honestly didn't know the transaction was complete until I had come to the realization she was just ignoring me. When I said "thanks" as I was leaving, she did not respond. Nice. Pro Tip: If you are planning on eating here, drive a 4x4 jeep or pickup truck.
