I walked in and explained that and the staff was still very helpful and didn't hesitate to fit me and let me try on a pair so I was sure what I ordered online would be a perfect fit. Shame the store couldn't get my business today, but the company overall just proved again how they are top notch. Would highly recommend the company overall and this location. Staff were awesome.

With an off-kilter yet high end market blooming from North to South, it's easy for the play-it-safers to get lost in the shuffle. And unfortunately, that is what's happening for Pure Magik. There's no denying, however, that there are some nice things in here. If your style is of the less edgy or eccentric variety, perhaps this will be your place? They have quite nice jewelry that utilizes feathers, gems and chain (oh so "now"). They also have a large variety of jewelry that uses those large South American seeds. You know, the ones that are red and black and kinda big like kidney beans. Yep, lots of adornments made out of those line the Pure Magik shelves. Maybe I caught the store on an off day? Maybe between seasons? Maybe awaiting and shipment of something groundbreaking? I wouldn't turn my back on Pure Magik entirely, but it's not my new go-to. But hey, maybe you'll feel differently.

I thought he was gay as he was touching me as I was checking out the fit of the clothes. He even brushed past my breast far too closely. Then he said something about his "Wife" and I freaked out. Clearly not gay. Every time I've been back, I only go in when I see he's not at the counter. But the last 2 times I've been in and taken things into the change room, he's all of a sudden there there and I don't feel comfortable. I am not going back again.

The instructor (Ian?) and his assistant were patient, knowledgable, friendly and professional. They offered appropriate support throughout class to all students, the talented and the struggling ones equally :) It was little talk and a lot of hands-on (90% of the time). You get to practice with as many pieces of clay as you want, but you only keep your best two, which is plenty. The shed is an extremely cool, inspiring warehouse style workshop! I recommend the class for a single person, a date night, a family or a birthday party. I'll be going back for sure.

On the particular day I went into the Australian Red Cross shop, I was embellishing cowboy boots by wrapping various scarves and belts around them. So there I was with a pile of colorful scarves and leather woven belts that I had pulled out from the bowls that held them. I offered a brief explanation as to my strange behavior and the shop girl responded "No worries!" Phew, I wasn't going to be thrown out for manhandling their merchandise. When I finally sorted out which pieces were going to work best, I brought them all to the counter only to find out that everything was 30% off. SCORE! Aside from the plentiful accessories in this vintage shop, they also have a remarkable coat selection. With tweeds and furs abound, it's easy to get excited here- and with prices on the low end for vintage, feel free to get REEAAAL excited. I was able to create a custom pair of boots with awesome antique accessories for not a great deal more than the cost of my lunch.

I left the store with shot glasses, 10 for $3.00, straws, plastic cups, napkins, and other great party supplies. They also had a great array of kitchen supplies that I will think about going back and getting, as I'm keen to see what the quality will be like.
