He then claimed the damage could not have been caused by tape because they "don't use tape," which is completely untrue. The evidence is obvious: they did use tape, and when it was removed, it peeled the paint off my furniture and left sticky residue all over the metal parts of my bed and my modern furniture. I hired this company based on their positive reviews, but it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I've ever made. Poor handling of furniture and even worse customer service.

(1) They tried to get me to sign a gag order, and (2) they hire local carriers to move your items and therefore take zero responsibility for anything that goes wrong during your move. Move info for those interested... (1) After 2 months of back and forth, they offered me only $250 for well over $2,000 of damaged and lost items. However, this was under the condition that I sign a legal document forbidding ANYTHING negative comments, by ANY method of communication, FOREVER. I have the document to prove it. How dishonest a business practice is that? I suspect there would be many more negative reviews online if the company did not have this policy. (2) They refuse to take responsibility for anything that happens during your move. This is because they are simply a logistics company. They hire local movers to actually move your items, and claim they have no legal responsibility for anything the movers do. They also will not provide you with the name of the moving company, until the day of your move. If ANYTHING goes wrong with your move, good luck getting them to take responsibility for it.

And was very patient with me and all my changes!!! Out of all the movers I called for quotes, he was the only one that followed up with me. I will definitely call him for my next move! Then comes time for the movers to load us up from Margate, FL to NC. They were beyond professional, sweet, careful, and so kind to us. Asked questions along the way. Moved our personal belongings with such care. These two young men pictured with my mom were simply amazing!!!! Now for the unload in NC. The driver kept in touch with us from the time he loaded the truck up until delivery day.... keeping us updated on time line. We had two stops, and he handled everything perfectly. Even told my mom, relax I will put the bed together! We had a storage unit and I was afraid everything wouldn't fit, well he told me not to worry he's got it. And he did! Even told me where certain things were in storage unit for me to find. I cannot say enough great things about Nationwide Van Lines. Everyone involved with our move went above and beyond. Very bad experience…read more Movers were 20 minutes late. Then they had no mattress/box spring covers as promised when i got the quote. I had bought some originally when going to move by myself without movers but then wanted to return them since i had to book movers and they were to provide but they didn't have any so had to use my own (extra $20 out or my pocket). I was literally moving just across the street and had only a few things to move --- a bed, 2 bedside tables, dresser, standing desk, 0 boxes bc had moved everything else myself already. Out of those few things they moved- they damaged my wood bedside table (part of a matching set so now can't use both of them) and damaged my bed frame. I have pictures of both the day before with no damage which proves they did the damage to both. Also keep in mind i only used 2 hr of the 4 minimum i had to book with them. So they only had to work half the time and move a few items and still those few items got damaged just from moving them to an apartment building next door. They offered me $60 for the damage, i felt i was owed at least $200 discount but all they would come up to was $100 off. Do NOT recommend. Wish i had just finished my move myself without hiring the movers at all
