Do not hire this moving company. They damaged my furniture, and when I contacted the owner, he had the audacity to blame me for not supervising his employees--despite the fact that I was busy running other necessary errands during the move. He then claimed the damage could not have been caused by tape because they "don't use tape," which is completely untrue. The evidence is obvious: they did use tape, and when it was removed, it peeled the paint off my furniture and left sticky residue all over the metal parts of my bed and my modern furniture. I hired this company based on their positive reviews, but it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I've ever made. Poor handling of furniture and even worse customer service. read more

Service was great, they arrived on time, worked quickly and had no hidden fees. Everything was up front and the way it was presented from the start. My only concern is that they didn't wrap the mattresses and just slid them on the floor, so they got dirty. That was the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Language barrier was an issue, but wasn't a problem, just an inconvenience. I will use Fuentes Moving again in the future. Side note: having the movers call the office for me to make payment was a little awkward. They were all standing around as I was giving my info and deciding on a tip. After doing research on various companies, I decided to go for Fuentes Moving, when I called and spoke with Maggie, I knew my choice was the best one, she was very nice, polite and gave me the feeling that everything was going to be fine! Indeed it was, the day before my moving Mr. Fuentes himself called me to confirm for the following day. Impressive! Impressive! Impressive! I've done 3 moves in the last 7 years. Everyone knows that moving is not only stressful but exhausting. Usually, every time, something gets lost or significantly broken. Not this time! This has been the best move experience I've had with a moving company! They are simply amazing! It started off with the wonderful customer service when not only requesting a quote but setting up the appointment. They did not give me any promises they could not deliver. They were very reassuring and in constant communication with me during the entire process. Four guys not 2, not 3 but 4 guys showed up on move day and on time! They moved lighning quick. But their speed was not an indication of carelessness. They were super professional and answered all our questions. They took care of all of our stuff as if it was their own. We had only one small wine glass casualty and I attribute that more to my packing than their handling of my stuff. They had our stuff in the truck and ready to go in 1.5 hours, that includes taking apart our bed. We were all moved in with our things in our new home by 12, noon. We recently purchased a new home. My girlfriend decided to use Fuentes Moving since she had used them 4 times previously and had been satisfied with their level of service. Well I'm not sure what happened between then and now but our experience this time has left a very sour taste in our mouth and we will never be using, or recommending, Fuentes Moving again. While they showed up on time and were very friendly, they did not protect our things well at all. They broke vases, curtain rods, glasses, frames, and damaged a rare piece of art that, while not valuable, had very significant emotional value. What really upsets and angers me is that I had these posters carefully placed in a box separate from everything else and they went out of their way to take them out of the box and stuff it into anothbox and toss appropriately three heavy items on top of it which creased and folded it beyond repair. To add insult to injury, for weeks, as we packed to get ready for the move, we meticulously labeled every box (and there were well over 50 boxes) so it would be a nice easy process to unpack. Time wasted. They put the boxes in the house so haphazardly that we had to hunt through the house for all the boxes that belonged together which added hours upon hours to the unpacking process. When I brought this up to the owner, his response, verbatim "Sorry, those guys don't read very well". Not even an apology. Can they match words? Kitchen goes with kitchen. Office with office. Seriously? Come on. After complaining to the owner about the $200 or so in damages, he gave us a $40 discount on the $1300 move. After spending a few weeks putting our new house together, we got our last surprise. They broke my toolbox and taped it back together but only after they kept a few choice items from inside. Tie wraps, a drill bit extension, and some screwdrivers. We were both extremely disappointed and angered by the carelessness, indifference, and actual theft that this company displayed. Ultimately the only saving grace for this company was the price but as the saying goes...lo barato sale caro. (The inexpensive things usually cost you more) Spend more money and go with a better company. In response to your reply: Pedro, if you recall, Irama and her mom were both at the house during the unpacking. While they did not sit there telling your guys where each and every box was supposed to go, we did label each box for that express purpose. As far as your guys not packing anything, you are mistaken. While we did do 99% of the packing, while they were there, they took it upon themselves to consolidate some of the smaller boxes into bigger boxes from the garage for their convenience. This included the piece of art that I mentioned in my original post. Finally, while I appreciate the fact that you brought me my toolbox which was admittedly in poor condition, there are tools missing and it's been 3 weeks since you moved us and they haven't turned up. If your guys didn't take them, then they were lost in transit which amounts to about the same for me... I had tools and after you moved us, they are gone. If I had known that we would have so many items broken and missing, I might've kept the tools that your guys left at the house as compensation but that is tantamount to theft, which I won't do. An apology is nice and appreciated but it doesn't make up for all the things that your guys broke, or the missing items, or the aggravation caused by their incompetence based on how illiterate they are, according to you, and thus their failure to group boxes together by name. I stand by my review and will not be using your services again. read more

Used them twice (2 years in between) and I was extremely happy to see a familiar face from 2 years ago. They are very reliable, SUPER FAST, always on time, and have a great attitude! I always offer them cafecito for all of their hard work at the end because they do an amazing job. They wrapped all our furniture to the best of their ability and were extremely careful. They payed great attention to any box that said fragile on it and packed the truck very well/organized. Superior moving experience - exceeded expectations! I left a voicemail on Labor Day weekend to move that week and the owner called me back ON Labor Day, which was amazing, because I needed to move that week - very short notice! The owner sent three guys, all of whom spoke English and Spanish. They were able to handle extremely large pieces of furniture with much better ease than the movers I used last time. They showed up 30 minutes early and were properly prepared with plastic, CLEAN blankets, tape, dollies, etc. The 3 movers also easily dealt with our building management, which is a nightmare. I feel our building manager had unreasonable demands of the movers (i.e. you're not allowed to park the truck on the property where you're moving) which they easily accommodated. I was afraid they'd pack up and leave when our manager generated unthinkable expectations but they didn't - they stayed and professionally accommodated all of the unreasonable expectations. They were also able to provide whatever the license and insurance requirements were for our building management as well - and in spite of this being scheduled with about 72-hours notice after a holiday weekend. The guys showed up in matching shirts and were professional at all times. It was clear that they were EXPERIENCED movers with the way they easily handled the larger and awkward pieces quickly and efficiently. While I have not unpacked everything yet - so far I have seen ZERO damages. Also, the price for the move was much cheaper than I expected. I had a one-bedroom move and was able to complete it within their 3-hour $480 minimum (one-hour is paid for travel). I couldn't be happier with their services and I would 150% use them again. I have moved over 10 times in my life so I have quite a bit of experience both moving personally, and even several commercial moves with my businesses. I would say that this was the easiest, cheapest, most quality move of them all. I was afraid when I booked them that it sounded a little too easy and was fearful if they'd even show up - so imagine my shock and surprise to receive so much better than I could have dreamed! I'm still shocked 2-days later - just mind blowing at how easy and fabulous they were! I have not written a review on yelp in SEVEN MONTHS - and even though I'm still unpacking my boxes, I just had to make the time to give a 5-star shout-out to this incredible small business. The short version - Fuentes Miami Movers just moved us from Jacksonville Beach back to Sunny Isles Beach and again it was a super wonderful moving experience from start to finish. There was absolutely no question which movers we wanted to use - we were hoping this company would have an open slot in their schedule for us and we were thrilled that they did. Please read my previous review from thirteen months ago too - there really aren't enough words to express how great this company is and how impressed we are with the team's personalities and their excellent work. The longer version - We never thought we'd be moving back to south Florida just thirteen months after we moved north - but as soon as we knew we were moving, Tim contacted the owner Pedro to see if this company would move us back to Sunny Isles Beach. Once again, Pedro was responsive and fantastic and fast with communication both with email and on the phone. He set everything up perfectly with the timing constraints and building requirements on both ends of the move and was very reassuring again about the whole process- a flat rate for door to door, no inventory required, loaded truck safe/ secured overnight, just so easy. And everything happened like clockwork. The team of three movers- Marlon, Nelson and Yoisel- woke up super early (like 3am) to drive the truck up from Miami and meet up with us at our storage site in Jacksonville to load out. It was fantastic when the truck arrived to see the team that we knew from before - we didn't know who would be assigned to us and it was unbelievable and wonderful to get to work with the same team that we remembered from the past. Again, you'd never have known they woke up so early and drove five hours (at least) to meet us - they were wide awake and enthusiastic and energetic and motivated and just so incredibly nice to us. The load out was so organized and smooth and fast- the team works together really well. There were two separate storage spaces- a 10 x 7 on the 1st floor and 10 x 10 on the 2nd floor- both stacked full of boxes and furniture and items already packed/cardboarded - everything ready to go. This company has a lot of different ways to move items from place to place - there is a big basket-like cart - pallets with V-shaped bars on the sides - hand trucks - flat dollies - and they load them up fast and full. We always have some heavy boxes with weights In them but they handle them like they weigh nothing at all- these guys are strong. They keep things right side up and they handle and stack everything carefully. A bonus is that they are friendly and polite and interactive and just really fun to be around during the move. So the items flew out of the spaces- the truck was packed solidly and safely and then the team drove it back down to Miami and secured it in their gated yard overnight again -and then brought it to Ocean Four loading dock the next morning. They arrived early so there was a wait for the loading dock to open and security to be ready to go with the elevator- but they were super nice and chill about it and just spent the time preparing things inside the truck and on the ground to be ready to go when the building was ready - and then they moved everything from the truck to the 40th floor in just an hour and forty five minutes- unreal. Marlon also helped me unwrap/peel the cardboard and plastic and green wrap off of six large pieces of sectional and also two nightstands and a tall chest upstairs- unexpected and so cool of him to do that and then to help dispose of the cardboard and green wrap too. And, they were super nice too about the car that had blocked their truck in after all was finished and they were ready to leave- we hated that they had to wait at all for anything but they just rolled with it until the owner showed up to move it. The management of our building was also super impressed with how responsive and kind the company was to get the certificate of insurance emailed to them again on the Friday before our load in on Tuesday- it was buried in a mass of incoming emails so the company sent it again to make it easier for them to find so they'd be sure to have the insurance verification when we needed it- really just above and beyond. Also the management and loading dock personnel/ security guards have mentioned several times this past week how smooth and organized and fast our team was for the load-in. The elevator was locked off for loading and unloading so that sped up the process for sure- but these guys see a LOT of moving teams come and go, so for different guys to actually be impressed enough to mention it says something for sure. We hope we don't have to move for a long time- but it would be a major privilege and pleasure for this company/this team to move us again. Just like last year, this was a super excellent moving experience with Pedro and his team of Marlon, Nelson and Yoisel - they were flawless and perfect in every possible way. read more

They were professional from the start, always responsive, willing to help us understand what the best plan of action was and not only did they show up on time, but they took care of all the paperwork needed when moving to/from a Miami highrise (not an easy feat) Every single piece they touched was meticulously wrapped and carefully placed on their dollys/flatbeds, etc to move to our new place. They made sure they understood where we wanted everything to go and as they unwrapped the pieces and moved them into place they cleaned up after themselves. Hired them to do my move on Friday, Feb 23. Ended up not being able to move in that day because I wasn't able to get the keys until later in the day due to BB&T system crash and my inability to get the cashier's check to the landlord. That's a whole other story. Anyways, I called them at 9 that morning to cancel and try to reschedule. Unfortunately, they did not have availability on the date requested. When I was finally able to get the check to the landlord, I called Fuentes at around 11 am to see if there was any way they could still move me that day. The female I spoke to said they'd be there at noon. While waiting for them to arrive, I got a call from Pedro saying that he had sent his guys to another location to do a move and that he had called his friend with a truck to see if he could help me with my move. Unfortunately, the truck had mechanical problems and he was unable to come move me. Thankfully, my boyfriend was able to give them his business by moving him out of his apartment to our new place yesterday. He was moving from Axis on SW 12th to Latitude on SW 7th, so not too far away. He said he was blown away by how great the guys moved everything. They had all of his stuff out and in the truck within 45 min. The total move time was an hour and a half (of course he paid the minimum of three hours). But that time is amazing! I write this review not only for my boyfriend's positive experience, but my own experience with Pedro in that he tried everything he could to help me move given my situation.
