The business model is exemplary. We have been very happy with all our interactions and purchases. We are first time cloth diaperers and used the newborn diapers. A dozen of these supplemented with a dozen prefolds was great for us. Unfortunately our baby outgrew these sizes very quickly, but he grew from 6lbs 7oz to 16lbs 1oz in just two months. It happens! The diapers did shrink a lot during prepping, but they worked great while they fit him! We continued to use the inserts in slightly larger diapers for a little while. We also use the cashmere covers and cashmere shorties. The craftsmanship is superb. Looking forward to buying some longies for the winter! The only thing I wish they would add is an color selection option that reads "Surprise me -boy" or even just "Surprise me", because honestly all of the colors we have tried (orange, red, green, and brown) have been rich and lovely and it is hard to decide which one to choose!

We purchased the Little Miner gem mining bucket and the kids had a blast at their first gem mining experience. They both left with a bag full of stones. Asheville has no shortage of magical spaces that kind of transcend space/time when you wander them. This one is a doozy! Walk down the stone earth entry to the grotto below and tell me you didn't just schloop through an unseen hole in the veil only to emerge into someplace much further than it looked from "out there." It's like the TARDIS of nurseries, it's bigger on the inside. A bit north of UNC Asheville on Merrimon, the only negative thing that I could mention is that parking is a little tight and close to that road, but that's a pretty common gripe in the 828, but I had to mention it for credibility. I mean this is a Yelp! review fercryinoutloud it can't all be pixies and rainbows. They have pots. And plants. Indoor and outdoor types. Annuals and perennials. Gifts and creativity abound, if you can abide. The staff that I encountered were big on hospitality, helpfulness, and that Southern Appalachian humility that I respectfully embrace. We left with a giant clay pot and a half-price Aloe that is entering the rehabilitation porch at home tomorrow at sun-up. Oh, there is a chicken coop just a bit farther out back, past the little creek and through the back greenhouse. Totally worth a peek while you're meandering about. If you see something that crosses your eye that could be useful and not something you may see automatically back home, you may be inclined to make a purchase like I did. I bought a couple of pairs of painter-inspired socks that were economically priced. The store manager was courteous as we made our purchases. Did I need the socks? Probably not because I have so many at home, but you can always ditch old socks, and their selection was nice and colorful, so I went for it.

I ended up visiting four stores, and this one was one of my favorites! This is the biggest yarn store I've ever been in! The service was fantastic, and they had the largest selection of yarn I had ever seen! They also had fiber for spinning yarn, so I purchased fiber that was a blend of wool from a local farmer. I have used some of it in a project I'm working on. I also bought some yarn that had been dyed by the owner. I wish I could have bought more, but I still had more shops to visit and I didn't want to spend too much!
