Our dogs absolutely love Leah, and we enjoy chatting with her every chance we can! We have so much trust in Leah to take care of our pups. It was a challenge when our last walker dropped us, but Leah quickly stepped in and put our minds at ease, speaking to her experiences and quickly getting along with our dogs. We have 2 very high energy pups that need to be watched closely, otherwise they will inevitably get into trouble. We've had cases of our pups getting away, and multiple scheduling issues with our last walker (NOT Leah :) ), but we have not once had an issue since Leah has taken over. With many dog walkers out there, and knowing how much people value their pets, we can not recommend Leah enough. She is super easy to work with, and most importantly, just someone you can trust!

PawsBarkPlay was recommended to me by someone who had a particularly difficult rescue dog. Leah took time to try and get to know the dog before she agreed to walk him and she refused to charge the owner (who paid her anyway) for the first few visits because even though she spent more time than normal at the house she wasn't able to get the dog to warm up to her enough to walk him the first couple times. When I heard this story I thought two things: 1. There's no way this person was actually that nice. 2. I have to get her to walk/ sit my dog (Birdy) To be honest, everything seemed strangely too good to be true. Down to the business cards which were nicer that any I've seen (including my own) and the fact that she was licensed and insured?? Like I said, I didn't think the dog walking business was that serious but she's got it all. The card even says that she's pet first aid & cpr certified (I forgot to ask for proof but I believe her). Anyway, when she showed up I found out that she had recently moved here from the south which explained everything, she has not yet been corrupted by our New England brash way of thinking. She was the sweetest person and took to Birdy immediately. I should say that Birdy is very well behaved and not at all aggressive but she's cautious about new people. Birdy ran to her like she was a long lost relative, I was shocked and a little jealous. Leah told me that she just recently started this business but you would never know. Her prices seem middle of the road for what I've seen out there ($25/30 min walk) but her service and level of care is beyond what I expected and make her prices seem cheap. I was surprised to see that she didn't have any reviews but I have a feeling that her clients are trying to keep her a secret like I thought about doing. As a Yelper, though, I felt obligated to leave this review but she absolutely deserves it. Hopefully she'll keep it in mind when she gets busy!

Outstanding service and A+ communication…read more About a year and a half ago, we realized we were going to need a professional service to take care of our aging mixed breed, Honey (lab/ridgeback/mutt), when the neighbors' teen who'd been doing it was headed off to college. After meeting with a few service providers, felt a trust with Celeste that she'd take care of Honey like her own. While the price is more than the kid next door charges, it's been well worth it, as Honey actually gets exercise via walks, and attentive care. For instance, one time this summer, when Celeste found her semiconscious from a virus, she took her to our vet and called us from the road to let us know. That says a lot about the kind of proactive care they give. In addition, TLC and Celeste have been great, including special trips by the house when we've worked late or gone to dinner with friends, weekend trips/stayovers, you name it. In the end, a great decision that we're still happy with to this day.

After forty-five minutes of complete silence in a cramped, dismally uncomfortable waiting room, an assistant finally emerged at 11:35 AM. Rather than focusing on the medical issue at hand, her immediate instinct was to aggressively pitch an unnecessary rabies booster. Pushing a medical procedure on a first-time patient without consulting his history--especially when Ranger is not due for that vaccination until 2027--was transparently predatory and clinically irresponsible. Under the pretext that Ranger was being brought back for an impending examination, your staff took custody of him. That representation was fraudulent. For well over an hour, an already anxious dog was abandoned in a kennel while your front desk casually accepted food deliveries, entirely indifferent to a room full of waiting patrons. Not a single staff member offered an update, an explanation, or a routine courtesy. When I finally demanded a status report at 12:45 PM, I was informed that a veterinarian had not even laid eyes on my dog. Confining a distressed animal in a back room for over an hour without medical attention is grossly unacceptable. When I instructed the front desk to return Ranger immediately so we could leave, staff had the audacity to attempt to stall with dismissive promises of "five more minutes." Ranger was brought out hyperventilating and visibly traumatized by an ordeal entirely manufactured by your incompetence. The follow-up phone call thirty minutes later, vaguely citing an "accident," only deepened the insult. If an emergency compromised your schedule, professional standards dictate informing clients immediately so they can make informed choices about their time and their pets' welfare. You do not hold an animal in a cage under false pretenses while keeping the owner in the dark. Dr. Erin Fleming and Dr. Ashley Miller: your leadership is directly responsible for this dysfunctional operation. Because you treated my time as worthless, I am issuing a formal invoice to both of you for the three hours stolen from me, payable upon receipt. In the likely event that you default, that debt will be transferred to a collections agency and pursued through small claims court in Milford. We were told, "We're too busy today. The doctor is only working a half day and we have no availability." They were wonderfully kind when my senior cat became ill with cancer and had to be put to sleep. They even provided me with time to say goodbye in private. When I brought my new puppy to be checked and to get shots, they took time to explain everything I should do and expect. They even called the next day to make sure all was going well.
