I used to rave about this place. When I found it, hardly anyone visited it. After I reviewed them, the owner told me that a lot of people started to come and business was getting better. I selfishly lamented over the fact that it would get busier and likely cause a wait but I was happy that business might mean they would be around for longer. Soon after, I found a new spot that was closer to my job at that time which made it easy for me to pop in during my lunch and get serviced. I went to my new spot today, after over 7 months of wearing bushy brows, resembling one of my fave GoT characters, Arya, who is played by Maysie Williams. Now, while I LOVE the show and adore the actor, I don't want my brows looking like two caterpillars crawled onto my face and died. Unfortunately, my brow tech was not available and I could wait no longer so I hightailed it to I Smail, knowing that I would get a decent threading done with which I'd be happy. I waited for a mere five minutes before she sat me in her chair and started on my brows. I asked for a tint since I'm going away on vacay and don't want to have to worry about sexing up my brows with makeup. I also asked for my upper lip to be waxed (no, I don't have a stache but getting the peach fuzz/baby fur removed makes makeup applications far more perfected). Afyer everything was said and done, the woman tells me it costs $32. I had to repeat the total because I was un utter disbelief. The brow threading, as stated on their menu only costs $8 and the lip wax had to be around $5 so I deduce that I paid a whopping $20 for a tinting? It's asuch a rip off to charge for henna like I was getting decorative henna on my arms. To make matter worse, she took her own tip, thinking I was giving her an $8 tip. If I had more time to waste, I would have stayed and questioned the charges but I have a baby at home and I'm her walking tap so, I was on borrowed time. After this experience, I tell you that I will never grace their threshold with my presence again. I'll just wait for my regular tech 5 minutes away on Gun Hill Rd. at Smile Beauty Salon where my brow and lip threading AND brow time cost only $16 dollars. Yes. HALF that price. I say, "Good day!" I should also include that my brows are definitely on point but like I said, I pay $16 for work that is just as good, if not better. read more

Clean, good prices, and elegant work. Parking: always pay your meter, even your getting your eyes brows threaded. Yonkers is always aggressive with tickets. Update to review: I sat there for 30 minutes until the henna was "dry" or until she told me I was done. The second I was out I realized it was smudged where she went to far onto my palms. I asked her to fix it, she said I could do it myself. It came off an hour later. Then 12 hours later I went to sleep and I woke with henna all over my face. Came here to get a henna tattoo for the first time. The place it's self was very clean and smelled really good inside. The location for me is not the best, it's very hard to find parking but after going around the block three times a spot finally opened up. I have been coming to this place for a good 3 years or so. Moved out of state and still passed by when visiting because of how GREAT she is at doing eyebrows. That I will not take away from her. But her poor customer relationship skills, Lack of courtesy and rudeness make her loose ALL stars. I ALWAYS get my eyebrows + Lip Wax done which is $12. Sometimes I pay cash sometimes I pay card. Today I am feeling sensitive and decide to only get my eyebrows done for minimum pain experience, This service alone is $8. I go pay with card and WITHOUT informing me, she runs my card for $10. I ask her why and she says she told me the last time, which she did not because last time as ALWAYS I got both services done. In a peaceful tone, I am reminding her that I always get both services done which are over $10 so this has never been a discussion, she insists, I say "fine just do my lip and I will give you the $2 in cash" to avoid further arguing with her. She agrees and proceeds to do my lip, I go pay and she continues insisting that the "sign" is there which let me tell you is a bent up hand written sign and adds that "it's only two dollars, no big deal". Which shocked me because if I were missing $2 she would not give me her services (as I replied to her). As talented as she may be, today's incident and the fact that she is ALWAYS TALKING either on the phone or to the other girl while hovering over your face (which is extremely uncomfortable as she has a rather unpleasant scent coming from her mouth), today will be my last time stepping foot in her business. read more

I came here after seeing some henna work done for a friend of mine. I decided I wanted to get a chest piece for myself because I was planning to wear a low cut dress to a party the next night. Now the place is a small little spot very clean and the staff were very attentive. I wish I could say the same for the henna. Although the design was very nice, my henna started to fade the next day. And this is not on a location that I wash all day, so I don't understand why would it fade the next day. Maybe my skin just like repairing itself?? I don't know. I loved the Gold Facial I had there. It was very refreshing and they left my face SUPER CLEAN! The only thing that bothered me a bit was the facial was done outside where other women do their hair, get waxed and/ or threaded, etc. I want to be relaxed when I'm doing my facial (almost asleep). I was very pleased with my experience here. I came early so it was empty - she was working on one person when I walked in and no one was waiting. When it was my turn she asked me how I liked my brows and I was very clear that I don't like thin brows so just to do a cleanup. This is always hit or miss which is why I'm very particular about threading salons. But she did a great job - I love my brows! When we were done she asked if I was a first-timer; when I said yes she offered me a flyer and told me her hours as well as the other services they provide. I'm from Queens - where I can easily find eyebrow threading salons around my apartment. I stayed in Yonkers with my family for two months and my eyebrows got too crazy to ignore. I was so scared to try a new place, but based on the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. The place was really easy to find. It's meter parking but I got lucky with a spot. I walked in to a really nice, spacious, and clean place. I felt better immediately. The girl, although she looked extremely sad to be there, did a wonderful job. I was next in line when I got there but I swear it got full right after I came in. I'd let my brows go out a bit so she had more to work with but all I had to tell her was I wanted an arch and voila! I have perfectly arched brows that finally match each other (I've had that problem for years) AND it's been a week and they're still flawless! I had went to another eyebrow threading place and they messed up my eyebrows. I let them grow out for about six months. I went here and although they didn't come out perfect (because they didn't grow in properly) they were so much better than i had expected them to be. She sat down with me and came up with a plan on how to fix the shape and thickness. Her name was Rosie and she owns the place.
