My first time coming here and I was completely satisfied. My eyebrows have never looked better. When I went in I was the only customer. I closed my eyes and she got to work. I had grown my eyebrows out for her to shape them better. I'm lucky I'm not a victim of over plucking lol. It was a little painful. Nothing us woman can't handle. I also did my upper lip for the first time ever in my life. What a difference in my face. My skin looks so much more even and smooth. I feel like it took off about 5 years off my face. By the time I was done I opened my eyes and the place was packed. With both men and woman which is great. The cost was beyond reasonable. I paid $7 for my eyebrows and $4 for my upper lip. A total of $11 and I gave her a $6 tip since I was very happy with the outcome. Do I recommend this place? YES! Will I be returning? YES! Am I happy with the results? YES! YES! YES! P.s. I got a Brazilian today and I think she did perfectly helped me manage my pain and take care of my skin after. Was super kind and helped with my nerves. The prices are really amazing too definitely kind staff and hard-working. I do recommend booking an appointment or letting them know before hand of a walk in as your average wait time may be 25 minutes or so but they're definitely worth the wait. A few months ago I went in to this shop to get a standard Brazilian wax, and I identified the waxer that waxed me pain and cut free, even with the hair grown out, which was Jolly. When I asked Jolly if she could wax me again, because the first time I came to this shop she serviced me and the second time I came another woman serviced me and ripped me (even though I had far less hair the second time), Jolly snappily refused and told me that another one of the workers could do it. Even though I repeatedly explained why I was asking for her to service me again, Jolly was adamant on telling me that she doesn't do waxes and that someone else could help me. So instead of clarifying that she serviced me in the past but she no longer did Brazilian waxes, she continued to argue me down, trying to make me feel like I didn't know who I worked with initially (not even taking into consideration that someone else working there had caused a bleeding tear on very delicate skin, and yet I still came back, because I was so satisfied with Jolly's performance and kindness previously). It took someone else re-explaining to her everything that I had clearly stated to make her admit that she did do Brazilian waxes in the past and that she no longer did them, which would've saved me time and I would've continued to be loyal to that shop, if there was someone else that worked there that knew what they were doing like she did. I've moved around a lot, so it has been difficult to find a waxer that I can trust to do a good job without injuring me, while being a nice person. I was so excited once I found Jolly, but now with her rudeness and miscommunication I will never be returning there again. read more

I've been coming here to get my eye brows threaded for about a year now and I am love them. I am so upset I'll be moving in September and won't be able to see her anymore! I have been to Jollys about 5 times I always go to same lady on the first chair. My apologies I never got her name but she is located next to the register. She really does an amazing job. It was two people waiting for her. So I said let me try the other lady in the chair next to her since she had no clients. The worst decision ever she cut up my skin I had several cuts and bleeding. I had just returned home from vacation and NEEDED to have my eyebrows done in a hurry. I didn't have time to get to my usual spot in midtown so I looked for a spot near me. I discovered Jolly's and the reviews were okay so I decided to give it a try. Be aware that the entrance to the parking lot is a few yards away from the entrance to the storefront. I missed it the first time and had to double back around. NBD but figured it's worth mentioning. I arrived at noon on a Tuesday and there were already 3 people waiting. With only 1 person working. Not sure if that's the norm but it was the Tues after Labor Day so may have been a result of the holiday. Anyway, I noticed that the woman was slow but as people walked out they seemed happy with their brows and from what I could see, their brows looked good so I was hopeful. When it was my turn I sat in the chair and she immediately began brushing my eyebrows and was about to start cutting without asking how I liked them so I volunteered the info. She nodded and started threading. So... yes a lil slow but also very ginger (you can feel every hair being pulled). When she was done my brows were just okay. Not bad but not amazing either. When I got home I noticed that 1 side has an extra patch of hair that she should have removed for symmetry. I didn't notice it until I got home because I was rushing to get out of there because it had taken so long! It's not terrible but my brows are definitely uneven. Would I return? Not if I'm planning to go to an event or travel. But if I found myself in another last minute situation again? Sure. read more

Very disappointing I've come here a few times and got my eyebrows threaded, the owner does my brows, I came today and she was working on someone so I sat and waited, the other worker signaled for me to come and I politely told her I'm waiting for the owner as I only go to her, the owner then said to me oh I'm not working today as she was doing someone's browse, so confusingly looking at her she says oh this is my daughter, I said ok, she says she's going away to college in disbelief I said ok, like your seriously not gonna do my browse and you know that I'm a regular. I'm not keen on having different people do my browse, if you weren't working you should have maybe taken her to the back in a private room or did it in your house. It was really disappointing as there was no other customers there and just to think I have made tons of referrals because I remember her from another threading shop and saw that she had her own business and things were slow. So much for customer service and making exceptions here,I won't be returning though, you choose to turn a paying customer down for service for a free family service, best of luck! read more

I came here because the city still didn't open for personal care and westchester and Yonkers were ahead of the city when it came to the phases being open first. My co worker suggested this place to me because she went here first and I loved how they did her eyebrows. I went to any lady because it being my first time I had no preference. Now any time i get my eyebrows threaded it's always painful BUT HERE it was the complete opposite. I don't know what thread or technique they used but I didn't feel ANY pain at all. I could have stayed in that chair forever. I was shocked. The woman did a great job on my eyebrows. I loved and felt normal again. I was looking like a cavewomen during the pandemic. There's only so much you can do and teach yourself lol. Plus i was working (essential worker) during the pandemic I cared about my appearance. I rarely leave reviews but I had to for this one. I live in Yonkers but work in the city and regularly get my eyebrows done in the city. I was forced to find a local place due to Covid-19 closures. Yonkers opened eyebrows first and I had to get them done ASAP. I was very reluctant because we all know how bad brows can really mess up everything lol. Welp Im grateful! The woman who did my brows was extremely gently to the point where I wondered if there was hair being pulled! First time trying out a local spot in Westchester and must say I'm impressed by Jollys attention to detail. I had my eyebrow, upper lip and chin done today and wow, she was thorough! My eyebrows can be a little tricky, but she did a good job. She took her time to make sure no unwanted hairs were left behind and didn't rush even though there were a few people waiting. I appreciated that. Prices cannot be beat and finding a place to park was not hard either. Hours are convenient as it can be tough finding a threading place open on Sunday. There doesn't appear to be an appointment system so there was a 10-15 mins wait which was fine for me. I will definitely return. read more

I found this place on Yelp when searching for an eyebrow shaping place. I saw the wonderful reviews and decided to check it out. My eyebrows were horrendous since I hadn't gotten them waxed/threaded since Pre-Covid (February). I was able to get an appointment within an hour of the time I called. I signed in, had my temperature taken and sat down. The process was quick and my eyebrows look great. They sanitize and wipe down every chair after every customer. There are hand sanitizer pumps at the door and counter and they sit the customers apart from one another. All in all it was a very pleasant and safe experience. read more

Awesome!! Since age 16 I've gotten my brows waxed from the same woman. Eventually, I realized that the cost was breaking my bank. The woman and I also always had some trouble scheduling because I'm a pretty last minute person (hence the reason I love walk ins). So these circumstances forced me to try/trust someone new, and I'm super glad they did. This place did a phenomenal job of quickly cleaning up my brows and slightly shaping them. It was a bit more painful than what I'm used to (waxing), but definitely worth the price and short lived bee stings. I'm not going to lie, I was initially a bit skeptical of the place. I couldn't tell if the brow technician was actually listening to what I wanted/thoroughly looking at the picture of my ideal shape. It was such a quick in and out operation. Despite this, she made them look (*almost*) the same as the other woman and for such a reasonable price. She didn't cut me or anything. I used to love this place. Jolly is fantastic and does a great job, however, I won't return because of the new lady that works there. Jolly was with a client in the back and I was pressed for time so I made the error of sitting in an unfamiliar woman's chair. She absolutely butchered my eyebrows. She made them completely uneven and took off half the brow. Jolly, upon witnessing this heinous act of butchery, tried her best to fix them but sadly, there wasn't much she could do. I've been growing them out for a month and they're still a long way from being full enough to shape properly. They look so ugly and frankly, I'm embarrassed and upset about how they look. Eventually, they'll be ready for a proper shaping but now I have to find a capable person to fix them and recover from my eyebrow PTSD. In short, I won't advise anyone to avoid this place but if you value your brows, go only to Jolly. read more
