She offered great advice on colors, textures, lighting, and furniture. She designed some special features. including a wall planter box. She also turned a space that was once a large built in bookcase into an amazing stone tile insert. Lighting is really important to me and among other things, she created a light bar that illuminates the beautiful wood paneling that wraps 3/4 of the room. (Hope she posts pics of this. But after moving to Medford, to a new home, it seemed overwhelming to start from scratch; I needed some help. Seanne McVarish came highly recommended. She reviewed all my art, and after talking with me, I felt that she really understood what I wanted. In less than 3 hours she gave me sketches for each room with the placement of the art and exact measurements for hanging it. Her suggestions were excellent, while respectful of my taste. Seanne has a sophisticated sense of esthetics, and her experience allowed her to be very efficient and fast. In addition, she made some extremely helpful suggestions about furniture arrangement. I plan to continue working with her to add the finishing touches to my new home, such as buying a couple of rugs and window treatments. The most frustrating part of our experience is trying to get problems solved. And there have been many problems. First, he just denies that there is a problem. Next, he gives what I see as an insulting excuse for the problem (Often blaming someone else). Then if pressed, he will have someone do something to address the problem but usually not fix it. We have just given up on having things "fixed" because it is such an awful experience with such poor results. I wish we had not purchased a "Bob Fellows" built house.
