My daughter's first ever volleyball interest was peaked... As a volleyball mom I was excited to get her started here. Up until the day before she had no coach, I felt bad so I stepped up as assistant coach to a non-existing coach so I became the coach. I know this is a league for fun and finding love of the sport however, maybe I grew up differently, but if you don't practice, you don't get to play, while I was able to enforce that role with my own child... I couldn't very well do so with others Who didn't show up for multiple practices, which I thought was unfair to the girls who dedicated all their time to each game there were a lot of times where I was stuck with only six girls and those girls did amazing the ones that missed multiple games were the ones that didn't grow in my opinion and I would've liked to teach them that lesson early on, however, I9 would not let me... due to everything having to be fair which again I understand the concept I just believe it is a disservice to how the real world is. My daughter will not be going back, but this was at least a very good eye-opener and introduction into volleyball... Wishing everybody well. read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM If I could give it negative stars I would, first I signed up my child for the upland league, start date was 4/12 suddenly they sent out schedules with a 3/29 start date...2 whole weeks before the original paid for schedule , I emailed them and figured it out after a long email exchange. 4/12 is here it is pouring out, "practice" is scheduled for 9 am ... at 9:13 am a teenager shows up to set up the field, all the kids didn't get a shirt just how the registration fee said he'd get bc coach couldn't find them?? parents showed up at 8:40 early with their kids ready for practice. "Coach"? Says he'll be back at 9:35 and tells parents to let kids just kick the ball around?!?!? Huh!?!? Yes, game is supposed to start at 9:40 but why did everyone show up for practice then? Mind you still pouring and kids and parents are completely soaking wet and they haven't even touched the b ask. No communication from anyone no explanation of what's happening or what they'll be doing. Parents asking each other wondering if lack of communication and organization is normal, flat out confused. Haven't had a game yet but my guess is he'll just have them kick the ball around and try to score on each other just scammiest most horrible place, your kids will get nothing from this at all, no coaching at all which is why they advertise the "no pressure" . Edit: 15 minutes into coach having kids kick ball around , my husband asked... hey is this normal? It's pouring and coach says ya it's pretty bad we can go. Complete waste of time. Total ripoff! False advertisement! They took our money and we didn't even play! I9 sports is a terrible organization. They are not organized whatsoever. They advertised summer Volley Ball to be held on Saturdays at a high school in Chino Hills. However, they did not have enough sign up so they automatically changed the days to Sunday and location to high school in Upland. We were not informed of this until opening day. The parent volunteer contacted me via text. I received no call or text from the organization itself. When I contacted them after four calls to request a refund because we did not want to participate on Sundays in a different city I was told we could not get a refund because I didn't request it prior to opening day. This is Ludacris to me since I wasn't even notified. They stated that an email was sent. However, the only email I found was days before opening day in spam. We were signed up for tball at Fletcher elementary this past summer and honestly it was a joke. Tball is not that serious, but 2 out of 6 Saturdays, no coach showed up at all - and they did not bother to cancel. The parents literally coached. The rest of the 4 weekends, the coach who WAS present was so beyond inexperienced- he had no idea what he was doing. The parents still did the majority of the coaching. There was no skills practice, no actual coaching, no direction. Just a very disorganized scrimmage in which the parents ran the show. On top of all that, every single week - the coach ended 30 minutes early. We looked around and all other i9 camps were still running but ours ended. When we brought this up to the coach, he did not even know what time we were actually supposed to end. We in no way got what we paid for. It was a complete waste of time and money. We called the organization multiple times and were promised recourse but it has been 3 months and we've still not heard anything. Based on our experience, absolutely would not recommend i9. In college I used to coach tball and 3-5 year olds soccer & basketball with Skyhawks Sports Academy and they are great. If you're looking for a program that might teach your kid something, go with them. read more

am writing to provide feedback on the i9 Sports Etiwanda league, specifically regarding an incident that took place Sunday August 10th. The on-site manager's handling of a situation was a significant cause for concern and ultimately led to an unnecessary escalation. ​The manager made a poor judgment call that was not based on the facts of the situation. Despite several parents having previously addressed this recurring issue with her in recent weeks, she took no corrective action. Her decision to call the police on a parent, who was simply questioning her judgment, was an extreme overreaction. The police officers who arrived at the scene even indicated to the manager that the parent was not the issue, which highlights her poor handling of the situation and lack of judgment. ​This incident was entirely avoidable. Had the manager addressed the initial problem when it was first brought to her attention, it would not have escalated to the point it did. I am disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the poor management of the league's operations. read more

We have been here for about 2 years at the Ontario Christian division! Ima tell you , we have had nothing but a positive environment from Staff to other Parents. Justin is Awesome and always available. We play Volleyball and have grown so much within these past 2 years! It's affordable compared to other Volleyball leagues and especially clubs . Where to begin... First, let me start by saying that we have had FOUR seasons with i-9. Our experience started out fine. My daughter showed interest in volleyball, so we decided to put her in this league because she didn't have any experience and we wanted her to get a feel for the game. While it was obvious from the beginning that the company is unorganized, we decided to roll with it because my daughter really wanted to play. My husband signed up as an assistant coach, and shortly before the season started, he was assigned head coach as no one else volunteered to be the main coach. This is a VOLUNTEER position. He didn't know anything about volleyball, but has coached youth sports in the past. My husband didn't want to leave the girls hanging, so he stepped up. At the end of the first season, most of the girls on the team wanted him to remain their coach because they really liked him and his encouraging coaching style. - so he said they could request him as the coach for the second season. Families requested him and we had a great second season. This continued for the third (summer) season as well - multiple parents requested him - so many that they had to split the team. Now, in the summer season, we only had 6 girls on the team, where other teams had 8 or 9. My husband simply questioned the people that run i-9 why the teams were split the way they were - and they said they cannot have more than 9 girls on a team and this is just how things are for the summer. We contacted i-9 and explained that certain girls had requested him as their coach, and splitting the team meant that he couldn't coach the core group that originally requested him. After multiple back and forth emails telling us they were not going to adjust the team numbers, we just let it go. But we did have to forfeit a game due to not enough players and we ended up "borrowing" players from another team in order to play a game. No biggie, we made it work. So, on to the fourth season. Before the season started, my husband received an email from i-9 stating he was not allowed to coach due to him being hostile towards the i-9 staff. We immediately contacted i-9 and questioned this. Not a single person could give us an answer as to who and when this interaction occurred. I had personally witnessed every interaction he had with i-9 staff, and we both were (and still are) convinced they have him confused with someone else. We even asked if it was because we questioned how things were split up for the summer, and they said that was not it, but still could not give us an answer as to who complained about him. He was told he was not allowed to coach and there was a zero tolerance policy for him being on the court. He still coached this last season, but from the sidelines. We had TWELVE girls on the team, which we thought was a little odd due to how the summer season ran, but again, we just didn't question it because we never got any answers anyway. Nine of the twelve players on the team had requested him as their coach. We told the parents about the i-9 complaint, and every one of them was baffled. My husband just let this roll of his shoulders, because he wanted to be there for the girls. However, this was a personal attack on his character and integrity. We told i-9 that, not only are the losing an amazing coach, but also multiple families will no longer be signing up with i-9 due to the lack of organization, communication, and downright lack of professionalism. On to bigger and better things with club volleyball. Don't waste your time or money on this organization. read more

I'm literally awestruck that this business deems it totally fine to start a team without a coach or proper leadership. This is the most garbage, sad, sorry excuse for youth sports I have ever seen. I asked for a refund as I stated, I feel it's entirely unfair to pay to be on a team that lacks leadership, and they told me no. How is this ok?? The parents provide nearly everything, so im not entirely understanding what my money has gone toward, other than being scammed. Biggest waste of time and money. I have never wrote a bad review or any review for that matter, but for this experience I HAD to. I signed my son up for basketball. He has little experience, but was Super excited to start season. I signed him up for basketball here in vista through i9. It use to be through the Jim porter recreation center. And it was an amazing experience then. Now, not so much. First, they didn't have enough coaches, which i completely understand because parents work and it's just hard to find people who are willing and have the time. The tryouts were very unorganized, they didn't have a system to it at all. Second, the age group is from 9-11. My son was still 8 but turned 9 towards the end of the season so i had to register him with the older age group. Mind you, he's in third grade playing with middle schoolers..... with also little experience. Third, First game of the season his coach blurts out "you're killing me (my son's name)!" But never once did she run a practice that taught them anything. I went to the first few practices and watched. And all they did was scrimmage. Didn't teach them to box out, no layup drills, no plays, just shoot 3's and hope they go in. Lastly, my son didn't want to go to practice or games anymore, which is soooo unlike him. He's a go getter. Even when he's not very good at something. Has a positive attitude. And works hard on his off time to try and get better. He would come home from practice or games and be very emotional. NOT BECAUSE he didn't play, because we don't get to be upset about that, cause he knows if he wants to play he needs to work harder. but because of the experience this program and coach gave him. It broke my heart to see him discouraged and not want to go. I made him finish out the season but I'm telling you now.. i will NEVER go back to i9 sports again.. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would! My daughter played 3 seasons with i9 and we are NEVER going back. I'm extremely disappointed with the way management handled literally everything. It's unorganized, the kids only have 30 min to "practice" before each game, and the amount of kids on each team was absurd for a rec league. What finally pushed us over the edge was i9's treatment towards our head coach. Our head coach was told he couldn't coach anymore because he was "hostile towards i9 staff". Let me tell you, I witnessed every single interaction he had with i9 staff, and he did absolutely NOTHING to warrant their idiotic decision to remove him as coach. Due to all of these reasons, nearly all of our team's parents refuse to sign up for another season. It's actually really sad because I see the potential i9 has and the need for a sports program like this for kids that are just starting out. Do better i9 Sports! My SON SUFFERED A BROKEN LEG DUE TO I9-Sports NEGLIGENCE!!! 0 STARS Please dont sign your child up for I-9 they could be in possible danger of being severely injured. Just like ALOT of the reviews here I can also attest to the fact that there are no "real" coaches. My son's team had a "team dad" and a young kid that was maybe a college student that was coaching the team. The kids are not really being taught any fundamentals or rules for the sport, they are just given a few drills then the they play a game. This was during the summer so I signed my son up for fun. The first game there was a referee to help the coaches out during the game. That was the LAST time we saw a referee. The kids played several games every Saturday with no ref 5 games straight after that, which is very dangerous due to the fact that the coaches are inexperienced and may not even really know the game. The kids are basically playing street ball!!! And its extremely hot in July here. There was no one making sure the kids stayed safe and played fairly. My son was kicked by another kid in a very awkward way that could have been avoided with the proper precautions in place. This caused my son a leg broken and there was NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE!!! From i-9 that provided me and my poor 11 year old child any help!!! There IS NO SAFETY PROTOCOL!!!! The "team dad" helped me carry my son off the field so I could get him to a hospital. All the games were still going on including the team my son was playing on!!! I-9 Sports caused my son and I immeasurable pain. Healing from all this was a very hard time for my son and I as his primary caregiver. I-9 Sports didn't even call to make sure he was ok until I reached out to them about their negligence! If you want your kid to stay safe and enjoy playing a new sport. For the love of God, DO NOT CHOOSE i-9 Sports!!! You will regret it!!!! read more

It makes sense. This i9 already has a one star rating reviews. I have been allowing my kids to play with I-9 since 2019. We even stuck with them throughout covid, but it's very unfortunate that they have no real system in place. Their Directors and management is terrible and they have no sense of urgency when it comes to parent concerns. It is unfortunate that they can't set a system in place where every team has a coach. As there are fees that we all pay at least $180 per player per season, but somehow they cannot afford to pay for one Coach per team? When i brought this up I was told fees are for equipment and other supplies yet you do not have to purchase equipment every season again and what supplies? Balls? Think of this and do the math if there is 8 to 10 players per team and there is about 4 to 5 teams for just soccer each player paying $180. That is roughly $6000 in one season just for soccer. What about football? What about baseball? What about the cheerleading yet somehow after making more or less let's say 50,000 a season you cannot afford to pay a coach per team? This is unfortunate that the franchise has no real system in place and it will be their downfall. Their priorities are twisted. There are many other leagues and places where they have some organization in this aspect of things you can't play or expect your kid to learn a sport without a coach. If that were the case, all parents would coach their kids without having to register them in leagues. This is the main point as most parents do not know the sport, but want their children to learn so therefore a coach should always be 100% guaranteed in any team of the league. Its funny how they pay these young students to monitor the snack bar yet there's five or six of them monitoring the snack tent doing nothing sitting down on their phones when instead they should be paid to Coach. In addition, the communication is terrible. You try to make a phone call and speak to someone and they avoid your calls and email you instead. I've been dealing with Taylor Greenwood/Saunders and at first she was a great sport, but obviously they stop caring and dealing with parent concerns if you aren't coaching. my husband was coaching and we were getting credit for the season but keep in mind not only does my husband work six days a week didn't know the sport but coaching would at least give us some benefit with the credit and not have to pay the season fees, but then they started saying that the credits could no longer be granted we stopped, also my husband got into an accident and like he said he wasn't providing a benefit to the kids not having a clue what to do. therefore my husband stopped Coaching. it's just unfortunate that this is meant to be an extracurricular activity and enhanced children's skills but how can they get any skills if there is no person set up to teach them. ONE STAR. I signed up my child who is about to be fourteen for this program. Shes an incoming freshman and she was placed in a team as the only girl with boys that are in fourth grade. She was placed with a whole different age gap and the coaches were messy. There would be different coaches too. The referee was bad and the program was bad for the cost i was paying. I expected much more and the field we're so tiny for a fourteen year old . When we first say i9 we thought the field " she was supposed to be in" was way too tiny for her age group. Turns out she was supposed to be there .The nets too and she was placed with people with a way smaller age gap. Overall , spend your money on. better program and I wouldn't recommend i9. I never got my picture of my daughter too and their program was not fun nor serious. DONT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!The lack of practice before games is so ridiculous. This program is ridiculously expensive for a 6 week program. Almost $200 is more than the cost of a full season of sports else ware. More expensive than any other activity my kids participate in. Unfortunately this program is difficult for athletes and parents. Many kids just stop showing up or show up really late and it makes it difficult for the teams to run effectively. Its great for younger kids to feel out what sports they want to play but the program needs help to make it run more effectively. Parents are coaches and we were on a team with coaches that were late, didn't provide the actual coaching lessons sent to them and were not inclusive of the whole team. The only thing this league has going for it is that it's not insanely competitive like AYSO.Everything about it is bad. They advertise they group by age. That is not the case. On the first day my 9 year old was on a team of 11/12 year olds. She has never played the sport before and was the only girl on the team with a bunch of experienced male players. Totally unbalanced. You pay the same amount any other program charges but they never have coaches so expect for them to assign you to coaching. i chose Saturdays at Ontario Christian High and last min Im told I have to go to Ayala now. I said with my schedule that is too far so they allowed me to pick Norco which is closer but they failed to tell me its on Sundays now. I signed my kid up for the training and when it got dark half way thru practice there were no lights provided so the practice was now limited because the kids couldnt see the ball. It looks like most of the fees go to admin and min wage goes to some young adults that just graduated to throw the ball to your kid. We liked my daughter's basketball coaches, though the program was not well organized at all. The reason for this bad review is that I contacted i9 Sports 5 times to arrange to receive my daughter's basketball pictures that I'd already paid for. Gloria even emailed me back after 3 emails from me saying she had the photos and would send them immediately. Since then I've emailed her 2 more times and she has not responded, and we definitely haven't received the photos. I did mention that I'd have to take the matter into my own hands, and they obviously don't care. i9 has definitely lost our business going forward. Fun, competitive environment. However, the refereeing was horrible! To cheat is horrible.

My boys had played soccer a few times, I had even coached (didn't know what I was doing but I did my best since no one else volunteered). We made the best of it. However, during the pandemic I got to know the heart of the program. While other sport organizations, who also have a no refund policy, had the interest of the children and families at heart, i9 Sports only offered future credit not caring that the money spent on a sport that may not be played safely for some time for children, may be needed elsewhere. I have much respect for the organizations that struggled but knew families would be struggling as well and put their customers first. Will not be using i9 Sports or recommending any more. And they may keep my money as a donation seeing how bad they wanted it. I recommend looking into your city's programs. They offer quality programs with coaches who seem to have actual experience in the sport, and for a good price! read more
