After my review I received a nice email from the guys in charge of i9 soccer. After discussing my previous review and expectations of i9, it was clear that changes had been implemented for the better. We have only had one practice since then, missing one, but it was a bit more organized and seem to run a little smoother. I was impressed by the quick response from the company and willingness to help. I still don't think we would return to i9, just because it's not really what we are looking for. (Structured teams & games, more practices/games for the cost, probably outdoors instead of everyone in one gym.) But you never know unless you try - or read reviews! I9 is great at asking for your input and responding accordingly, but I would still love for parents to review on yelp for others to read before choosing a sports program, so they are more aware of what it entails and know what to expect. read more

Very poor management, For the fall season matches they didn't have any volunteer coaches for our team, and even if I wanted to cancel the season they did not want to refund me. There was no communication email from i9sports that there is no coach for the team. And there is no contact number to talk to someone , they just respond in emails which is quite annoying. read more

Not recommended for Soccer. I have been an i9 volunteer soccer coach for a team comprising of 8 year old kids. Our team also made it to the finals of the Spring 2019 season on 06/15/19 in Sammamish WA. Unfortunately we were the runner-up because I trained my players to follow proper soccer rules and not the distorted rules 'i9'chalked out. I Strongly discourage sending children to play in this league for the following reasons: (1) Their soccer rules don't seem to comply or follow international standards. They make their own weird rules, for example, there is no off-side, defenders cannot cross the center line also player cannot take a direct shot at the goal during free kick. If a player kicks the ball directly in the goal on a free kick, the goal is not counted. And many more. (2) They keep changing the rules depending on the situation and who the coach is. Lot of favoritism and bias observed during the games. No calls on roughness. (3) They make the parents with no experience in soccer coach the teams. As a result the league lacks seriousness. (4) The league is grooming Hooligans and not players. read more

i put my son in this business playing soccer and i think it's a waste of of money. why? because first of all coach's don't let you head the ball and you can't slide tackle? it's dumb because they say it's for "safety" but that's literally how soccer is. and the coaches are just some old guys/ girls who just needed a job. they don't teach us anything and all we get for winning the season is a fake medal. i do not recommend this sport enrollment at all, 1 star. read more

This is the worst place for your kids to learn soccer. The coaches do not know the game and the kids dont learn any soccer fundamentals from these classes. I paid in full for the fall season but my son could attend only 1 game in the season. We had to pullout because of an issue, so I asked if he be allowed to move the un-used credits from this season to the next season. My request was declined without even a slight hint of consideration. To top this, I was yanked out of the system without any reference to the past games and seasons. It feels like like I paid $150 for 1 game and to be treated without any respect. This is the WORST organization I have come in contact thus far. Please stay away from them. I registered for my 3 boys for summer camp last week for over $700 total. We wanted to register for soccer camp and ended up with baseball camp. The office rep and the coaches were very nice and tried to help accommodate us for the mishap but the Chris emailed me tell me that is not allowed. Then another coach tried to help out another day and the Chris got mad and emailed me that he is the CEO and the coach is not authorized to accommodate us!!! He was trying to let the coaches supervisor know about this. The attitude was uncalled for. My boys never enjoyed the camp. I felt sorry for the staffs when the CEO is the road block to customer service and satisfaction. Don't waste money and kids time here. read more

I love the programs they run! My son has now done two different sports with them (soccer and basketball). Not only are the coaches AMAZING with all the kids, they are also organized and very transparent with dates and times of practices and games. I cannot recommend i9 enough. My son is not only learning new sports but learning how to actively listen and learning what sportsmanship is. Get your kids out to play!! read more

Just terrible. They will allow children to be bullied on the field by other players with no regard. This isn't a real development league parents - this is a for profit business so their intentions are very different than joining a developmental league. I will also say the franchisee is less than available for issues. He will allow 11 year old children to coach teams, which is bizarre to say the least. As you have read of other complaints on this forum regarding Chris, I can also confirm that he is not customer service oriented (he doesn't receive calls only emails), which is surprising considering this is a for profit business. It's not like he's a volunteer or something. You are really wasting your money by joining a for profit league that is managed by Chris. It also appears that corporate has little to no oversight with regard to their franchisees so there is little recourse if you have legitimate concerns or complaints. Their customer is the coach - period. The business model is based upon having coaches coach your children for free so Chris and i9 can generate profits. While that isn't bad, it means that coaches dictate everything because without free coaches Chris would be out of business. The result: if you have any issues with a coach you will lose. That's an issue because there is zero vetting of these coaches (who knows who they are where they have been). Some coaches are great and good people and others are just garbage. In our case, we had a real case of bullying and our coach, trying to remain conflict free, didn't want to acknowledge the problem or address it. He had zero leadership qualities and instead had his 11 year old leading our team. We contacted Chris and his response was to blame us for not volunteering for a league for which he makes a profit (quite the audacity). Honestly, save your time and money and join a real league that also has volunteer coaches but is a non-profit. Don't put money is Chris' wallet. He doesn't care about you or your children. He cares about making a profit and if that means allowing children to be coaches, great. If it means turning a blind eye to real bullying (these are 6 year old children, not athletes) he'll do it as long as he's making money. read more

We tried to register our special needs son for Soccer lessons, he loves the sport and to play ball. We were told to try and find another, more accommodating place... Doesn't seem i9 sports is very inclusive. We'll try somewhere that has a kinder approach. read more

i9 was good for my son for football but has been an absolute disaster for soccer. I have 3 girls aged 6-10 and they put them on the same team with 1 other kid. The teams across the league are so mismatched with some having 8-9 players and others having 4. They didn't take the time to setup coaches or ensure proper communication on anything. I've asked for weeks to speak to a manager but the only representative at the field is just the person in charge of the cones with no authority. Each week a manager is "supposed" to be there but never shows up. We had a neighbor inquire about joining the league midway thru so we could have more players and they told them they'd rather teams play short than prorate their fees. This is a small step above a neighborhood pick up game and is a complete waste of money. Each week we have to talk to the other coach and adjust the numbers of players active as we don't have enough to play 5x5 for even 4x4. i9 is a for-profit company so this just shows you they put their dollar above the kids. I would recommend you to leave this place as far as you could. They didn't communicate and try to help. They just want the money. I couldn't get refund, they will charge admin fee and refund portion of store credit. How I can use this store credit if I totally don't like it? I will have to go to small claim court to get my money back. I shouldn't have registered the courses 4 months away, now they said I couldn't cancel the courses. This is so ridiculous. Yes I understand you want parents to volunteer but for the money that is paid there should be a coach and then ask for parents to assist. I should have heeded the warnings from others when they said stay away from I9 as they are only in it for the money. That is definitely seen. Hands down the worst league my son has ever been involved with. He played flag football and we would never try a second season. Extremely disorganized. No guidance from the owners for the coaches nor the kids. They only show up on the first day and the last. For an organization that specializes in team sports they certainly don't understand the concept of instilling values in the youth athletes. The ugliness we witnessed on the field week after week was unbelievable. Coaches stand and yell at the kids, the other team's kids, the refs, and the other team's coaches. The refs are kids themselves and cater to the coach that screams the loudest. Obviously out of intimidation. Other leagues we've been in establish strict rules on sportsmanship and enforce them. Even for the parents. When confronted by parents the owner will threaten you so it is of no use to express your concerns. He is very defensive. Even when he witnesses the display of behavior from the coach firsthand. Don't waste your money. Kids should be gaining positive experiences in sports that will not only help them physically but mentally as well. They do NOT receive that in i9 Sports of Issaquah. read more

This is a scam organization. They don't guarantee a coach or event that your team will have enough players. They offer no refunds if your team lacks the number of players needed or a coach and instead put it on the parents to figure it out. Unless you are strapped for money and are ok wasting your time - find a better organization. Why get your kid excited only to show up to no game. read more

These people do not know how to run a league! I signed my son up for the traveling flag football, and we had to pick a home school/ home area to sign up for. I signed up to one of the closest locations and the coach calls to practice an hour a way (in good traffic). I called and the operator calls me "Miss.. *first name" - how condescending and rude - and then tries (unsuccessfully) to explain it's a travel league and kids are from everywhere. I state, yes, I know, but signed up for a local school. Back and forth with this lady for 10 minutes just trying to clarify what is going on... and because I signed up for a travel league they just place kids on team regardless of where they live. How are they supposed to practice together? Simple logistics, communication from the owner, and better coaches training is warranted. This program is a joke! It's disorganized, and obviously doesn't care about kids or their coaches. At the coaches meeting, they do NOT provide footballs!!!!! They charge $10 for old,deflated balls that coaches can purchase... what a joke? For $200 a kid, they can afford to provide footballs to coaches. read more
