While I understand that…read moregymnastics involves physical activity, I felt the instructors were not as careful as they should be, especially considering the young age of the participants. It was kindergarten party, so 5+ year olds. The level was not suitable for kindergarten children, who need extra guidance and a gentler introduction to gymnastics. Unfortunately, my child was injured during a session, which could have been avoided with better supervision and a more tailored approach for beginners. My kid was told to switch her legs while in air and then jump on ground. Safety should always be the top priority, especially for such young children. This being her first exposure to gymnastics, this was obviously too much for her and she fell and twisted her knee. They should be mindful that for such bday party events, only introductory lessons should be thought as for some kids this might be first exposure.

Literally every employee knew my baby by name within like a week and learned to recognize me as his father with my mask on just as quickly. Seriously impressive when I'm only there for a couple minutes a day. All the staff I've interacted with in the infant room ("Purple Cat") have been wonderful and clearly care a great deal about the kids. Daycare is tough with COVID but they're managing - one family checks in/out at a time, temp checks for the little ones at the front door before admission, and when there's an exposure they've notified promptly. No complaints with management or infant daycare and cost was comparable with other centers I talked to in the area.

I've attended the Club Teen Center for years, and there used to really be a community there of supportive and loving staff and people. There were actually alumnis who would return with college degrees or jobs or kids. But ever since the new CEO, Tim Motts, entered, he cut our funding, said he wanted to "stick [his] shoe up [a youth's] ass" for misbehaving, ignored blatant safety violations that have been properly reported (such as when Nicole aggressively grabbed a club youth), and worst of all, fired our staff who have supported youth for decades simply for disagreeing with him. It's absolutely unbelievable how badly he's hit our club, and I can't imagine how other clubs have also been impacted, in less than a year. I was really planning on coming back when I'm in college or after I get a job, now, I realize my last time will be in high school. Tim Motts does not have the youth in mind in his decisions and policies, he simply wants to feed his ego and reputation to impress the Boys and Girls Club of America and his other selfish goals. You can't have a selfish person be in charge of a child-care program, or stuff like this will happen, and your childhood places will turn bland and empty. I'm so amazed at how she's able to handle curriculum for different levels and know all the kids by their 1st names. She also noticed that my 2nd son was advanced for his age and, along with a few other 4 year olds, she made advanced lessons just for them. My son loved it cuz he felt more challenged and up till now (he's in 4th grade already) still remembers those lessons he learned from Kany and says those were harder than 2nd grade in public school, but it was more fun! I brought my 3rd child there who just graduated pre school this past spring as well and he loved Kany and all his teachers. Anyways, I only have good things to say about Basic Steps and Kany and I wish her all the best!

My toddler is so excited to go every time - as am I b/c she literally can just play here forever. We've tried a lot of toddler classes and this one is a must.
