I came to Dr. Vause at a time of change in my life (at work, with family, and in my relationships), and my stress was surging. My depression and anxiety levels were becoming hard to manage, and I was turning to drugs and alcohol to cope. Dr. Vause helped me get through it. In addition to counseling, she guided me through some challenging but needed adjustments to my medication regimen. Obviously since she has no openings for new clients there is no harm to her business by posting this...only saving others from wasting their time. I am suicidal and need a doctor asap. It started with my mother in law when she died of cancer. He talks and talks to you and really gets to the root of your problem before he will prescribe anything, if at all. There has been many of times where I just needed a talk secession because we have formed a patient / doctor bond, and he always gives me his honest opinion even if it's not what I want to hear. Fortunately, when my insurance changed again I was able to return to him. He's always asking not just about my medication, but how I'm doing and how I'm coping apart from medication. I find him empathetic and feel like he listens and takes seriously any concerns I have about a medication. He'll work with you to find what's right for you. I also appreciate his office manager, Jennifer Thomasian. She always replies promptly and has called my insurance for me when they've denied filling a prescription and gotten them to fill it in the end.
