Sometimes thank you is just not enough - this is one of those times. We've had some bad days in our "supposed-to-be" dream home since we moved in - drywall throughout the house with severe workmanship issues and one loser contractor after another who promised they could fix it but only made it worse. There have been many tears, much stress, and plenty of days of hopelessness as far as the house goes. Then, Steve shows up one day in his cape with a big red "S" on his chest. We'd used his company for a small job to paint a dining room in our old house and one of his guys (Terry) did a beautiful job. My friend used him to paint her house and she was very pleased. He came, he saw the mess, and he didn't run out. He said he could fix it. He said don't worry. He said when I'm done with your house it's going to look like it's out of a magazine. He said I will treat your house like mine. He said my crew has been with me for a long time. He said you can trust me. He gave me a fair price. I'd heard it all before. So. Many. Times. I called my dad to ask what I should do. I'm 40 and I'm a professional with an advanced degree, but I still called my dad. I said, "Dad - he's a painter. Can he do this?" My paternal grandfather was a career painter. My dad told me a good painter is actually the best person for a job like ours, because they know what the drywall needs to look like for a beautiful paint finish. I took what felt like my 37th leap of faith with a contractor who said he could fix this.
You know what? Steve told me the truth and then some. I never in my brightest dreams imagined our house could end up looking this good inside with all of the drywall issues we had. Steve and his team made this our home; we finally - after 6 long months - can exhale. We are forever grateful to Steve and his team for their dedication, commitment, respect of our home and our wishes (which were, at times, unreasonable - cover and use plastic sheeting on EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE!). They fixed the drywall issues and painted every room in our home, including closets; some rooms have almost 20 foot ceilings. The lines are crisp, straight, and beautiful. The finish is fantastic. Our home was left clean and everything covered along the way. We were concerned about drywall dust from sanding, so they gladly used an air scrubber we rented to help mitigate dust. The pride they demonstrate for their craft, the respect they show their customers and their homes, and their beautiful workmanship is unparalleled. We are extremely particular and Steve overdelivered. You cannot go wrong with Iannacone Painting; I would (and will) hire them again in a heartbeat. read more
