I had them to do repair work on my car last year I thought they did a good job. I sold a car and decided to have my car repainted at Flow on Stratford Rd when they took my car apart to repaint it they found 3 bent fender and headlight tabs. They sent pictures and a quote to my insurance and me, They talked to my insurance and the insurance called me and told me what Flow had said and what Ian's said that what they repaired. So after all that I called Ian's and they told me they replaced all 3 tabs but told my insurance they only replaced 1 tab. So if you decide to use them be prepared to not get quality work and get lied to. Stay away from these liars. Now that being said they did match the paint better than the dealership body shop. read more

This post is WAY overdue. I hit a bear with my car over the summer, and Ian's took care of everything. Not only was my car returned in excellent condition, but everyone I spoke to on the phone was super kind and helpful. Do not use this shop. They do not communicate timely with repairs. They don't accept responsibility for damage that they caused during repairs. Do not let State Farm recommend them to you for repair. Not a good experience. read more

The people are very nice but the communication was terrible. I was never called about updates or parts that my car needed. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and they told me it would be done by Friday afternoon of the same week. It wasn't. It wasn't even done Saturday or the following Monday. A 4 day job took 14 days for me to pick up. Once again, I was never contacted about why it was taking so long or when I could pick it up. I was always the one calling them for updates because they never offered any information otherwise. One time when I called, they told me it was going to paint and I would be able to pick it up the following evening. Well when I called the next day I was told that a part needed to be supplemented (I was never told that) and that it would be at least 2 more days because it still had to go to paint. Needless to say, the people are very nice and the work they did was very good. But they grossly underestimated the time I would be without my car which was beyond frustrating to go 4 times longer than you originally planned. I was very disappointed with my experience. I had heard and read good reviews of this place and maybe I was an extreme case. I will say that the owner reached out to me after learning about my experience and they were able to help clear some things up and I am very appreciative of that. They understood my concerns about lack of communication. read more

I had my car repaired at Ian's after I was involved in a 4 car pile up on 52, I was the car in front so I only had front end damage. The estimate on my 2011 car was for reconditioned parts and the person doing the estimate did not inform me at the time, my wife noticed it when going over the estimate, she works in the Insurance industry. I was able to get the insurance company (Nationwide) to use new parts after some argument and pointing out that in NC there are laws regarding this. I let the owner talk me into having them do the repairs, he promised me the car would be back to the same condition it was in before the accident and said I'd be 100% satisfied with their work. After I got the car back with the repairs complete the bumper did not line up properly at all. After a second trip to Ian's they found the issue was with the bumper itself, I do not know if they failed to notice the issue in the first place or what but bottom line is there was an issue with the part they installed. They were able to get Ford to warranty the parts and get new ones in, another week without the car. When the car was returned the second time the spoiler was loose on one side and sticking up and there was chrome missing from the tail lights, I have pictures from AFTER the accident showing the tail lights were missing no chrome, when they showed me how the bumper looked after the second fix they had the back end taped off, the tape was on the tail lights, evidently that pulled off the chrome. Back to the shop for the third time. They fixed the spoiler, hopefully it will stay fixed as I would rather not take any car back to this shop. I was told that they would see about ordering the parts to fix the chrome issue. The next day I got an e-mail from the shop saying that the chrome issue is a known issue on the cars and that Ford should warranty the chrome, so much for getting it back to pre-accident condition and so much for me being 100% satisfied with their work. Their quality-control is very lacking, if you like taking your car back over and over and being without the vehicle then perhaps this is the place you should take your car. I do hope I have no issues with the repair as I would much rather never go back... At this point I might be willing to pay to have any further issues fixed by someone else, all this over an accident that was not my fault in any way. read more
