In my experience everyone that works in this facility is honest, fair, they want to help people and they want them to be safe. This is the first and ONLY mechanic shop that I have been to as a woman where I wasn't treated like I was a dunce or less than. The employees here explain things in a way of informing you not persuading you or intimidating you with fear that if you don't complete the job something extraordinarily bad is going to happen. They give you realistic expectations on how much more you can drive until you need to really get it done which helps people that are on a budget. I think the prices are higher on average but the amount of service, attention, and thoroughness you get the price is very fair! I recommend this place to everyone I know especially women because I know how important it is to feel safe with mechanics and not like they are trying to get over on you! I've had my share of bad experiences but never with Christian Brothers! They truly exemplify the name!

final update 1. My check engine light came on when I took…read morethe car home after the repair. Took it back. Tech explained it was due to the aftermarket part being used which is why he recommended the $9995.00 converter that I declined since I didn't want a $13,000 repair bill. My husband asked if the 02 sensors could be the issue. The tech said no. They had replaced one and the rest checked out ok. I took my car to another shop the following week. Turns out there was a bad 02 sensor. I have an invoice to show that I replaced it. 2. My battery was checked off as being good and they offered to clean the terminals for a nice fee. I had that done previously by them but I declined this time. My car would not start the following week and left me stranded at work. Turns out when it was removed , the battery was swollen on one end and leaking acid which might explain why the terminals were so corroded. I have the invoice where I replaced the battery. 3. Three weeks after the repair we heard a rattle in the rear when we pressed on the brake. We thought it might be the rear stabilizer link they replaced this last visit. We are not experts so wanted to be sure. . My husband took it in this am to be checked. They tightened it up then test drove it after. I hope that was the issue. We will see. 4. I noticed that they recommended that I have a brake fluid exchange this last visit due to brake fluid being burnt and dirty. I approved that but then realized it was just done 9months/10,000 miles ago. So my husband questioned the owner about that. The owner's immediate response.- " Why did your wife approve it ?" So to answer that question. You send these recommendations via text while I'm at work. I trusted your shop to run an ethical business and not send something out for approval that you just supposedly did. Volvo says 2 years /40,000 miles interval for that. However, that's my fault for not catching a duplication of service that was supposedly done Great deflection on blaming the customer for trusting you. I guess I'm supposed to carry around every invoice while I'm working. 5. My husband mentioned this am that I went to them thinking it would cheaper ." That seemed to insult the owner. To Clarify , I just didn't expect more than the dealer. 6. Lastly. Be sure that your customer has drove out of the parking lot before you start talking about the customer in a negative manner where it can be heard and seen in your waiting room. My husband walked back in to hear and witness the facial expression of the technician he spoke to talking abut him. To the owner. You can go back and look at the invoices to see how much I've spent without complaint and the duplication of the brake service. Our car is still out of alignment pulling to the right. Look how many alignments I've paid for. I even had it aligned at a local shop since it really was pulling bad after one of yours. You have my contact information if you truly want to make things right. I know you said to send an email to explain everything. Maybe I will but will just be a duplication of this information. At this point, I regret ever stepping foot into your business. Very disappointing. Original review. / My plan was to drive my 2011 Volvo XC70 until it came time for a very costly repair and then trade since I've had it for 10 years. I took it in since the car started loosing speed when accelerating and was sluggish going up hills. The first issue found was the exhaust manifold actuators so I agreed to have that repaired along with other items. That total was $2800. After that, I was told the catalytic converter was "now clogged." The repair with the Volvo brand part estimated to be $ 9995 ( warranted ) The car is not worth $5000. I opted for the aftermarket option ( no warranty ). Price was $1800 for a total of $4800 for everything. We got a quote from the Volvo service dept and it was $6435 plus tax which would be around $3500 less The price difference over the dealer for a repair just seems questionable. Recently, while traveling from Florida to New Hampshire, we experienced an unexpected issue and totaled our travel trailer. Apparently, an object kicked up and knocked the spring pin off the through pin that holds the hitch to the receiver. This resulted in the stem of the lift jack plowing a 2 1/2 inch groove, approximately 100 feet long, down the side of Virginia's Route 100 and Dry Pond Road. The A-frame was bent approximately 20 degrees, the electric jack was severely damaged, the hitch itself was bent, and the cabin of the camper shifted forward about 1 1/2 inches. It was no longer safe to continue our journey. The truck driver, Darren, from Russells Garage (whom I also highly recommend), suggested that we take our camper to Johnson's Family RV, which proved to be excellent advice. Experiencing a camper crash and total loss halfway to your destination is an overwhelming situation, involving insurance, towing, estimates, hotel rooms, and decisions about whether to purchase a new camper or return home. However, Missy, Doug, Frank, and the entire crew at Johnson's went above and beyond to make the process as seamless as possible. They efficiently prepared the estimate, communicated with the insurance company multiple times, explaining our situation, and within a couple of days, we were able to depart with our new RV, and we couldn't be happier. The pricing was very fair (I verified), and the understanding and service they provided far exceeded our expectations. We were given a general idea of what we could expect to receive over the phone. So today I drove for over an hour to check out one travel trailer at this business. I ended up waiting almost 2 hours to talk to someone about the camper after going to view it alone without a salesperson. I was never given an actual walkthrough of the camper. I was placed with Gene after looking at the camper myself. Gene brought us inside and proceeded to get a quote for our trade in. I told Gene what I was told over the phone, and that I would like to get close to that after they came back with a very very low offer on our trailer. Gene proceeded to tell me that no one at Uwharrie RV gives general amounts on trade in values over the phone. I was incredibly offended and felt like I was being called a liar. I told Gene that I did in fact have that conversation with someone from their business and that I was not a liar. He decided to cross-check that with a guy in finance who did not confirm or deny that I could have had that conversation on the phone with someone. It was incredibly insulting to be sitting there while they were questioning my honesty. It was actually quite disgusting to me. I'm tired at this point and don't feel like these two guys are taking me seriously. I ask the finance guy Chris what is the most they can give me for my trade in and he proceeds to tell me that 2 months ago my trade in was in fact probably worth what I was told on the phone, however now it is worth far less. He then proceeds to make a joke about how if I had brought in a better brand of camper, he would have given me thousands more and laughs. Now at this point nothing is funny to me. I have been at this place for 3 hours, 2 of which I waited to even see someone, and Chris thinks it's the right time to make a joke. I finally got up and walked out. FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER…read more I hate to do this to a small business, but I also find it important to speak up when anyone gets outta pocket. We searched high and low for over 7 months for a Bronco towable RV that wasn't going to break the bank. We finally found the 2023 Riverside 165X in March '24 and it was reasonably discounted at UWHarrie RV, so we stopped searching and pulled the trigger. I called down and confirmed the price and availability with the Sales manager then drove down from DC to pick it up. Everything went smooth as butter with the sale, the technician took over an hour to walk us through everything we needed to know about RV'ing--overall a solid experience. We drove the RV back home and quickly realized Broncos are not for towing, it can do it but now well. After 4, trips 3.5 months, we took the RV to Camping World to try and trade it in for something smaller. During the inspection it was found the roof was not sealed properly and the repairs added up to over $3500. This is where the suck starts... We called UWHARRIE and got a bit of a run around on the warranty--they gave us the contact info for Riverside who offered us to drive up to Indiana and get it repaired at their shop, we live in DC. Called UWHARRIE back and they gave us a dealership closer who could do the warranty repair. We called them and they no longer worked with Riverside. Called UWHarrie back and...this went on for over a month. In November Riverside sold to Sunset who we contacted about either reimbursement for the repair or complete coverage of cost--still haven't heard back. Camping World threw a Hail Mary out and sent us to a dealer in WV who told us, "since the RV sat on the dealer lot for more than 3 months it would have been on the dealer's to do maintenance or repairs while on their lot." Which means UWharrie sold us this "new" RV un-maintenanced which means all of this problem starts with them. But don't fret after only owning this RV for 10 months Camping World offered to buy it for 10k which means we would loose over 8k in total because UWHarrie didn't do a proper inspection before selling it to us. I'll say this --great customer service to get you in the RV, but terrible service when it comes to selling quality or caring after it's off their lot.
