Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this company. The last 2 times we have used them they…read moreshowed up late, unprepared, and without the needed tools or materials needed for the job, which I had been very specific about on the phone. Consequently, the job took much longer than it should have and the bill was significantly higher than anticipated. The manager was unconcerned about my displeasure when I called to talk to him about it.

I would steer as clear of these people as possible. I originally engaged them for a house that I…read morebuilt. I had some challenges with the power company because it was a brand new build without electrical service anywhere near the property yet. Bringing in the service required engineering and labor on the part of the power company. Part of why I hired them was because the owner, who is an older guy, assured me that he knew how to navigate the bureaucracy at the power company. At the time, transformers had up to six month lead time so I wanted to make sure that got ordered right away. The power company promised me that as soon as they got my signed contract and check, they would order the parts. Then they changed the rules and told me I needed to have initial electrical inspection first. So I called THEE so they could work their magic. After a couple of weeks of what I now think was just doing nothing and making no phone calls, they came back to me and told me that we needed to do the initial inspection as the power company ordered. This couldn't happen until the house was framed, which was months later. Thee came out and put up an electrical box and two outlets, the minimum for the initial inspection. But they put it in a different place than the power company had expected, and so the power company told me it would take another six months to redesign my power plan. They told me that my electrician should have known this. I called up THEE. They told me they would give me a proposal to install a cut off switch where the power company expected the power to come in, and run wires to the box they had installed. Eventually, that proposal was submitted and it was $4500. I asked for a breakdown of that, and they only broke it into three pieces: labor, materials, and inspection fee. The trouble was, those three pieces added up to $5000! They didn't even look at their original proposal or check the numbers to make sure that they added up to their quote of $4500. Well, this made my decision easy. I terminated them, hired Smith Electric, and everything worked out great. They did a few hours work and kept my $4000 deposit. This is not right. I have seen other reviews that are equally negative of this company. Many of those reviewers think these people are dishonest. I am not ready to say that, although the fact that it has been almost a year and they haven't given me a refund does tend to support that. But I prefer to explain bad service with incompetence and stupidity rather than malice if possible. The owner is in fact, fairly synaptically challenged. The example of not even checking his numbers when he gave me a breakdown of the proposal is one piece of evidence. When I went to their offices to fire him in person, which I think is the proper thing to do, he began with some chitchat story about selling a 30,000 kW generator to some municipality. I said wow, that's big - 30 megawatts! He corrected me and said no it's 30,000 kW. I tried to explain to him that one megawatt is 1000 kW, but he didn't understand. It turns out he actually meant it was just 30 kW. So not only was he an idiot for not understanding basic unit analysis, he was an idiot because he thought that was a big generator. On the honesty side, he did tell me that they had been doing this for years and claimed he had never been fired from a job. Looking at these reviews, I think that claim really does strain credulity. It is possible that he wasn't bright enough to know when he was being fired from other jobs. Many people in the trade have since told me they have had bad experiences with this company. They all say what I am urging anyone reading this to do: steer very clear of them.
