Round one was a morning Tee time and although it was a good time we were rushed and the group behind us were constantly hitting up on us...total poor form. It seems as though this time of the day is fully packed as most are trying to beat the heat. This took some of the pleasure out of it. But, all in all an outstanding round of golf. However, for our second round a few days later we decided on an afternoon tee time. This round was much more enjoyable as the course was almost totally vacant. For this round my son and I were able to play a slow pleasurably and leisurely 18 holes. This round was totally enjoyable. The course is well maintained, nicely groomed and a joy to play. Plenty snack/beverage snacks strategically placed to meet all your hydration and munchie needs. An occasional gator on the bank of a water hazard was our only concern. The staff from check in, to launch, to the concession stands, through cart turn in were all extremely polite and helpful. Zero complaints. I'll totally play it again in my next stay...maybe I'll avoid the club rental fee by bringing my own clubs....

It's a challenging track (certainly championship level) but fun despite the difficulty. With no one ahead of me or behind me, I played lightning quick despite a few list balls (okay more than a few!). It was super convenient that the course will send a cab to pick you up at your hotel for free (well, bundled into greens fee I suppose). I'd love to play it again!

Puerto Cancun is a new shopping center north of the hotel zone. Coming from the hotel zone our bus…read moredriver drove right past the bus stop even though we pushed the button with enough time to stop. We finally got there only to be disappointed by a partially occupied mall. There is no bus stop across from the mall to take a bus back to the hotel zone, you have to walk down the road about a mile. The mall also looks much bigger than it is because behind some of the walls there is a huge parking garage. Update: Yesterday we were told that there is a bus stop out by the main road but today we drove past the exit of the mall and there is the indentation of the curbing usually used by the buses as a bus stop but it is not marked as a bus stop with the appropriate "B" signage. The buses are not stopping and are driving right into downtown Cancun. So if you decide that you want to go to this mall you should take a taxi unless you plan on walking a long distance to and from the closest bus stops.

They claimed I broke a club that I never used and would not let me leave until I paid for it. We warned other guests and the golf club tried to do the same thing to them but due to our warnings they had pictures as proof. Absolutely awful scam they run on guests.

The second time the cart died we had to wait almost 25 minutes for another cart to arrive. For that amount of money, I would have expected better service and real sand traps. Truly Felt Like Family -- An Unforgettable Stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun…read more Where do I even begin? we traveled here for my birthday and from the very first moment we arrived at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness. The staff immediately made us feel at home, and that feeling continued throughout our entire stay. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful--spotless, incredibly clean, and very well maintained. The service was exceptional. A huge compliment to the management team for combining the high standards you expect from a Hyatt resort with the warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality of Mexico. That combination made our experience truly special. And the food! We tried every restaurant during our stay, and honestly, the food was fantastic everywhere. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the French restaurant, but we enjoyed every place we tried. The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean, and had amazing views. I was especially impressed that our room was serviced twice a day. There were also plenty of activities throughout the resort, and we had so much fun participating in them. But what really made this trip unforgettable were the people. A very special thank you to Leila Guirin, Diana, Virgilio Castillo, Odalys, Angelica, Alejandro, Roman, Diego, Jazer, Natasha, and especially the amazing Edgar, who seems to wear many hats! But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. I was leery at first but soon learned that they were legitimate. Cheryl, was incredibly helpful and patient with me and my anxiety. She even beat prices when negotiating directly with golf courses. We played Riviera Cancun and Mayakoba. Everything went smoothly with transportation and golf at both locations. She even met us as Mayakoba which was a nice personal touch. I highly recommend her when golfing in Cancun.
