My first all-inclusive resort experience, and it's so good that I think it would be hard to top. Six days and 5 nights is a good length to stay with children. Besides the price (extra $127/night for a toddler), we had a wonderful experience - the food (both quality and variety), the well-kepted grounds, the amenities (Kid's Club, gym, pools) and the service are all top-notch. Food: there are food available from 6AM to 11PM. Some places I visited multiple times are: The cafe (opens from 6AM to 11PM) - coffee, tea and Frappe available all day. I usually stopped by after the gym (yoga near the beach at 7AM) to grab a iced latte and freshly baked pastires (dulce de leches cruffin is my favorite). Habaneros (opens from 12-6PM) - this is a casual spot serving tacos and ceviche on the beach. Even my toddler enjoyed the mixed ceviche with octupus. I enjoyed the ceviche, salmon toastada, and octopus tacos, while my toddler playyed with sand on the beach next to the table. Moongate (opens after 5PM) - the only restaurant that requires reservation, but for Teppanyaki ONLY. We were able to make a reservation for 5PM about 3 days in advance. The Teppanyaki chefs are all super energetic and made the experience fun for both kids and adults. We went back for dinner, and enjoyed some Asian Fusion dinner of ramen and sushi/rolls. My favorites include Short-rib, Teriyaki Salmon and the Omakase Nigiri. Trade Winds (opens for breakfast and dinner) - best steak in the resort. Last but not least, it took me 3 days to find my non-alcoholic drink of choice - strawberry mojito. I'm not a fan of the pina colada here, just FYI. One thing I don't like is the dolphins in captivity. I know it's a major attraction of the resort, and my kids honestly enjoyed watching the dolphins swim around and being trained. But it still makes me sad to see them contained in such a limited area.

This is the first time we've been to an all inclusive and it's amazing. Every restaurant has been top notch in terms of service. We've enjoyed the variety of choices available from Mexican to Italian to Asian. We ate brunch at the Tradewinds and tried the traditional Mexican food. There is an extensive fruit and salad bar.

One of the best vacations I've ever taken. 6 days here and it flew by so quickly. Everyone in my group said the same thing. The property is MASSIVE. There are about 7-8 different restaurants and they all have their own theme/specialty. For the most part, the food here is amazing.. Like, I would come back as a regular paying customer. The people who work here appear to have a lot of pride and certainly make you feel well cared for. The service has been nothing but amazing. Highly recommend renting a cabana for a day or more. It comes with its own food/drink service (although sometimes we didn't see them for long stretches of time). You also get a free 5 minute facial for two people and two complimentary coconuts. Highly recommend because the bench chairs get taken up early in the day with people who simply put towels on them and walk away. The views here are amazing. The water is warm and blue. Everything I learned about cancun was real lol. I'd definitely come back here again in the future!

This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and we brought our toddler along. After months of research (and a nice Chase boost offer), we decided on Hyatt Ziva Cancun. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by staff and handed cold towels which was a nice touch after traveling. A team member gave us a quick rundown of the property as he walked us to check-in. Side note: he did try to sign us up for a timeshare presentation the next day, offering a free cabana and massage as an incentive. It was a bit lowkey but easy to spot but just a heads up for future guests. Once checked in, we found the hotel to be very clean, beautiful, and full of friendly staff. The pools and beaches are conveniently close to the rooms. They also have activities throughout the day, and have a kids club where you can leave your kiddo (4-12 y/o I think). If you have a small child - we requested a crib and a shower tub both they provided. The crib was a tad bit small, but it worked. There are plenty of dining options - some great, some just okay. The buffet was consistently solid and offered different dishes daily. La Bastille was a lovely spot for a more elegant dinner, and Habaneros was perfect for seafood by the water. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day, and the housekeeping team was always cheerful. One small downside: the coffee at the café wasn't great, but it did the job. Also, the resort has captive dolphins, which felt a bit sad to see though they seemed well cared for. Overall, it was a wonderful first all-inclusive experience. We wouldn't be opposed to coming back!

This is our 2nd time staying here. We last visited in 2023. We decided to return for our 5 yr anniversary. Right as we checked in we were welcomed by the wonderful staff. We were put into a nicer room than we expected and were assigned a wonderful team of room service experts. Monserrat and Olibert send us daily messages about the various schedules of activities going on at the resort. They were cheerful and always available for any question we had. They truly made the stay comfortable and special. We had breakfast every morning at the Mercado restaurant where we had crepes, passion fruit, fresh baked breads and more. The service staff here were above and beyond amazing. Carlos Gallo was a familiar face every day that brought us fresh juices and coffee and helped us start our day off right. He truly set the good energy for the day. Finally I always recommend lunch at Habaneros. Since we last came it has moved to a permanent location on the beach. The ceviche tostadas were the highlight of our day. Every staff member here operate with the upmost professionalism.

First time at an all-inclusive resort and Hyatt Ziva Cancun blew us away! Corner suite with ocean view was phenomenal - kids (7 & 3.5) loved the balcony hot tub . Food was AMAZING and endless options, activities galore. Staff were top-notch - loved the cold towels on arrival, the friendly bellman who showed us around, a helpful butler who answered to all our questions via WhatsApp. Big shoutout to Andrea, concierge at Hyatt Club - super helpful finding lost stuff (cover-up & kid's shoes)! Would def love to go back :)

This is our second time staying here. The view as you walk through the main entrance is unbeatable! Gorgeous blue sky paired with an equally ombré blue sea. So beautiful! The service is great here too. You will not regret staying here. Tip: Their room service food is actually very yummy and pretty quick! The carne asada is a must get!

It was an unforgettable week filled with adventure and sunshine, the kind that leaves you smiling long after it's over. From the moment the sun rose, the air was filled with excitement -- splashing in crystal-clear waters, feeling the warm sand between our toes, and soaking up every golden ray. Laughter echoed as we explored, tried new things, and embraced every bit of fun the day had to offer. Whether it was riding the waves, sharing stories under a bright blue sky, or simply enjoying the carefree moments, it was pure joy -- a perfect reminder that life's best adventures happen when you let the sun, the laughter, and the moment take over. You will love the A1 experience with wonderful people and great staff!

As a season, Travel agent, and world traveler, here are my opinions.... Pro's: Number one... The staff is absolutely wonderful willing to go out of their way. Kept the place clean always say hello and got to know each of us. The food at the restaurant was very good with very few exceptions. Victor who helped us in the buffet several times was a wonderful waiter. The staff was wonderful about coming in cleaning your room when you weren't in the room, leaving extra towels or any snacks you desire. The pool was exceptionally, clean and beautiful, including all of them. Cons: Here's the part I could not imagine. The up charge for several things is absolutely 100% unreasonable. How about $99 for a very small lobster tail. Or $180 for a tomahawk steak not to mention if you want a small glass of sake at the Japanese restaurant called moongate the minimum charge was $79. That my friends made it very unacceptable. A small up charge like on a cruise ship of some reasonable charge would've been wonderful. The person with me was not offered any sake at all. They have an assortment of restaurants, but don't expect any quality seafood unless you're willing to pay a substantial amount of money!

My stay at the Hyatt Ziva was outstanding, and the biggest reason for that was Erick, the bellman. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond. He didn't just help with bags, he practically gave me a full tour of the hotel, showing me where everything was and making sure I knew exactly how to get around. It was incredibly helpful and made the whole place feel familiar right away. Throughout my entire stay, every time Erick saw me, he'd come over, dap me up, check in on how things were going, and just bring genuinely great energy. He was consistently kind, fun, and thoughtful, and it honestly made the trip feel more personal. He's the type of staff member who turns a good hotel into a great experience. The all-inclusive food was also much better than expected. Every restaurant had solid options, everything tasted fresh, and the service was consistently impressive. It really felt like the entire staff cared--everyone was friendly, attentive, and focused on making sure guests were happy. A special shoutout as well to Antonio Banderas, the hibachi chef. He was not only skilled but also hilarious and incredibly warm, making the dinner memorable and fun. Also, the Mulligan Z Indoor golf simulator was amazing. Not only was the facility high-tech and clean, but Adolfo, the person in charge was a great mentor and coach. He is very kind and is a good person who is very skilled at golf with good advice Overall, Hyatt Ziva delivered in every way, but Erick truly made the experience exceptional. I would absolutely return.

I got married at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun and I couldn't have chosen a better resort to have my friends and family come to! The service and food were amazing and superseded any other all inclusive resort I've been to. Hyatt Ziva changed the game! Quality and tasty food was our top priority and this hotel delivered. We loved all the different restaurant choices and carts throughout the resort. Our favorite was the French restaurant, tres cervaches and the steak house. We also loved the daily carts that changed by the pool. The service is also great and the staff here are very friendly! I highly recommend getting a cabana for a day. I do wish there was more to do on the resort after 8pm but it seems like the resort goes quiet after their evening show, unless you wait a couple of hours to go to the club. The club was also a fun time! Overall we enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to explore the other Hyatt all inclusives.

    Just beautiful

Check in: Absolutely the worst check in process I have ever experienced. I arrived at 1pm and was told our room should be ready by 3pm. At 3pm, I stood in line again to get a room. The receptionist at the far left side helped a lady lingering on the side, not in line get her room first. Instead of helping a dozen people who actually formed a line! Absolutely terrible for everyone else waiting in line. Then I found out only 1 room was ready by 3pm- not a five star experience to start! Thank you to our bell boy, Roberto, for helping us get a second room quickly. Food: average, lacked flavor for most meals. The hibachi was the best meal option. The guacamole was flavorless. The food at the pool grill was pretty much the same thing everyday. They should focus on refilling the dishes when it's empty- they ran almost empty on guacamole most time at lunch. I wished they had tacos/ quesadillas by the pool too to give a Mexico experience. The mango on a stick was the standout item during lunch. Activities: The main pool was always lively with plenty of entertainment- water aerobics, live music, aquatic show, games. Jonathon, Michelle, Sandra were very fun. Elisa at Moods went above and beyond to help us play the PS4! I wished there were more adult craft/ non exercise activities. The nightly shows were great. Service: Except my experience checking in with the front desk- everyone was kind and helpful. I was disappointed in the lack of service poolside- they only did drinks service and they barely came around- maybe 1-2 times a day.

I would give 100 stars if I could!!! I have been meaning to write a review for this great company…read morethat helped make my wedding an absolute dream. Prior to getting married, I was glued to a show called "Platinum Weddings". The wedding that caught my eye involved a cave reception in a Mayan ruin...The cave was surrounded by crystal blue water and it could fit up to 400 people or still be intimate enough for 75. I made it my quest to find the coordinators for this event. I found SOLEN, the "Event Masterminds"...and what a gem of a find. I spoke with Claudia Alanis Rios who immediately won me over. She is very professional, honest, sweet, detail-oriented, loves her job and is extremely creative. She takes your ideas and makes them a reality greater than what you could have ever imagined. She surprised me with extra little perks that she knew would just melt my heart, never charging me an extra penny and just doing it because she knew it would add a special touch. She helped me with ideas that I never knew were even possible. The biggest perk is that she studied in San Diego, she is a chef and a wine aficionado. She speaks perfect english and has impeccable taste. Planning a wedding in Mexico from the US is very difficult, especially when you want something that is a little non-conventional and unique (like a cave wedding). You don't know vendors, you can't really strike a bargain from afar and you want someone like a David Tutera that you can trust to just make it all happen. I never stressed. Claudia kept me posted almost daily about all the details...and she stressed for me. I only traveled to Mexico once for a food tasting and to pick table settings and flowers....the rest which included: coordinating lodging for all of my guests, airport travel, shuttles to the wedding, rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, post-wedding catamaran snorkeling cruise....was all handled by SOLEN and if you can believe it...the amount of money that I spend for one week in Mexico for the wedding, my family's travel, their hotel stay and post wedding fun was equivalent to what I would have spent for a one day wedding in Los Angeles. I can go on and on. Contact them if you are considering getting married essentially anywhere in Mexico, they have contacts everywhere. Best part about it, they don't just coordinate weddings...they are the "go-to" planners for many corporate events & concerts. They recently coordinated all the events for "Bachelor in Paradise" which took place in Tulum. You will not be disappointed. -Elena

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

DO NOT STAY HERE! We stayed at The Westin Lagunamar Ocean…read moreResort Villas & Spa expecting a high-end experience and got the exact opposite. We arrived late and asked for bottled water, and were told to just drink the sink water... in Mexico. That alone set the tone. I also repeatedly emailed our concierge for assistance and received no response whatsoever. Our room smelled like mold, and the sheets were damp. Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. This wasn't just a misunderstanding, it was a failure in how guests are handled, and it happened more than once. We will never stay here again.

We stayed here for a week, wouldn't be my first choice if I came back again. The room was ok. 2…read morefull sized beds both had hard mattresses, the shower does not have a door so the water gets all over the bathroom floor. There is a mini fridge but it doesn't keep drinks cold at all, it's more like a wine cooler. There was no ice bucket or ice machine so we had to bring our own metal water bottles to the bar everyday. The view was nice, however you get no sunset from this side. We only had the breakfast buffet included, which in my opinion is all you need. We came to the buffet for dinner one night and the options weren't great. Definitely would recommend only getting the breakfast included pass. The asian restaurant was amazing!! All the staff were so incredibly kind and made our experience so special. The staff is all very nice and very helpful, we got to check in early (12:30pm). The cleaning service takes a bit, we were out from 11:45 am until 2:45 pm and our room had still not been cleaned. The pool here is very nice, it's huge. There is 2 "hot tubs" and one big pool. The beach is right outside of the hotel which is also very nice. The cabana service was great, you pay once for a day (about 65 USD) and get many options for food and drinks. My biggest complaint would be the LOUD construction. On our last day at this hotel, We got woken up at 9:30 am to extremely loud construction in the room next to us. Nonstop banging on walls and it sounded like they were jackhammering into our walls. This lasted HOURS. I'm sure this isn't a common occurrence, but it was extremely annoying and we had no warning this was going to be happening during our stay.

Krystal International Vacation Club  - Nearly the biggest mistake of our lives…read more ______________________________________ TL:DR - Krystal Vacation Club is about 95% Fraudulent, will lie and say anything to get your money, and won't give it back even if you cancel in the legal period. Run far, far away.  _____________________________________________ This review is for the Vacation club presentation, not the hotel...there are already hundreds of those reviews... Everyone at these early interactions promises they are not a timeshare - that's lie number one. I dont care what you call it, but if you are asking for tens of thousands of dollars up front with the promise of some kind of vacation club, you are pushing a timeshare. They offered a free breakfast the next day, a private ride to Playa Del Carmen (which we needed to get to Cozumel), and a snorkelling trip. Ok....fair enough. It didn't help that we began this journey looking to get out of our previous timeshare (Hilton), and that apparently made us even easier targets.  They put us with a man named "Grayson", and he was a pro. We were used to timeshare sales people being friendly and engaging, but the kicker was that he knew everything about our Hilton Vacations program. We were relatively new to Hilton Grand Vacations, but he understood it better than we did, including all of our frustrations and fears about rising maintenance fees, special assessments, difficulty booking and just the issues dealing with HGV in general. In the interest of keeping this short-ish, I'll outline what they promised us.  - 200 Nights of vacations at Krystal Resorts around the world - to be used over the next 10 years.  - Buying us out of our Hilton membership (supposedly as a large corporate entity they could do this and basically write it off as a loss...it made sense at the time...) - Discounted flights twice a year through a third party exchange - 25% of any other vacations booked through the Krystal Portal.  It wasn't cheap by any stretch, but after saying no three or four times, they finally got us. We drank the champagne, signed the paperwork, and were on our way, feeling great...for about a day... That night after 2 or 7 drinks, I started looking the company up (something I tried to do during the meeting with no success), and I started to get worried. There's basically nothing about this company online, and what does exist is horrible (I hope to add to that!). I tried all the travel websites along with reddit and facebook, and just got more and more worried. "Grayson" tried to reassure me that everything was progressing fine, but after a couple more days spent worrying about it instead of enjoying our trip, we made the call. Cancelled via email and also went into town to mail a certified letter. If we hadn't been 3 hours away we would have done it in person as well. Mexico has a 5 day recission period, and we were well within that, so the folks at Krystal, after a few complaints, agreed to the cancellation, on the condition that we would not take any action against them or post any negative comments online. And...we were fine with that as long as we got our money back.  Then, the least surprising thing ever happened - that's right, NOTHING! No refund, no contact, no answers. Even my buddy Grayson stopped answering texts. Luckily we had documented everything, and even opened up a complaint with our bank while still in Mexico "Just in case", which was fortunate. We sent all 50 pages of documentation to the bank once we were home, and about a month later the money was back in our hands. I won't lie...we felt like the world's biggest idiots for a while, but at the end of the day we won and it felt good. These folks scam a LOT of people, and while it wasn't pretty, we got our free stuff, saw through their lies, and came out ok. The best part? I got confirmation it was all fake. Obviously at Krystal the right hand doesn't talk to the left hand, because a few weeks after all this went down, I got an email granting me access to their site, and unsurprisingly, it was all lies. 200 free nights? Lies. The free flights? Lies. Buying us out of Hilton?...cant 100% confirm, but seemed shady as hell, and we'd have probably been stuck with both. At the end of the day, all I see on the site is 25% off Krystal Hotels (and nothing else), if we booked through their portal. That's it. What a joke... So yeah, some of their hotels seem nice enough (read the other reviews for that), but when it comes to the vacation club, DONT DO IT.
