For a budget hotel, this one was pretty nice. I've never had a bad experience in an Ibis hotel. This location was very nice. The room was clean and spacious. This is one of my favorite brands to use in Europe. read more

We arrived very late at night and the front desk staff was super nice and got us checked into our room quickly and easily so we could get to sleep as soon as possible. We asked about the airport shuttle the next day, but it had already filled up for the earlier time that we needed it for our flight. We weren't too upset about this since we arrived so late, and it was understandable. They said the shuttle is around €7 per person which was about the cost of just doing an Uber the short distance anyway. So we hit the hay and didn't worry about it! The room was clean and had a comfy king size bed. There was also a sitting area with a couch and small side table. The windows aren't sealed too tight so there can be some noise from the street outside, but it didn't bother us too much. The bathroom was large and pretty standard décor-wise. I would say overall, this is a nice, affordable option if you need to be near the airport for an early morning flight or one that has just got in late at night!

I do NOT complain anywhere I go, but he had the audacity to say what I'm saying is "bullshit." First off, we arrived on Friday afternoon and we booked a family room with fridge and AC. When we got there the AC was not working nor the fridge. They sent their handyman to fix it that night when we left for our dinner and they called us saying that it was fixed . We got to our hotel at midnight that night, the AC and fridge WAS NOT working. We spoke to the receptionist, Daniel, that night and they gave us 2 separate rooms for the night so we were moving rooms until 1:30 AM. The following day they expected us to move into one room once again. They were NOT being fair about the situation since this entire problem was their fault. Yassin, being the person helping us on Saturday morning was so rude, did not want to make an exception for us and the trouble they put us through. This man was full of attitude and was not accommodating to any of our needs. He had to call his Manager, Christopher, to make the decisions, and he was nice enough to let us keep the 2 rooms. During check out, again it was Yassin, before checking our file, he was charging us more than we should have paid and until we did not show proof of an email that stated the correct amount, we were going to be over charged. He also had the audacity to be mean, full of attitude, and say that "She's used to doing this everywhere she goes"... how DARE a receptionist say something like that to a PAYING guest. He was horrible. I have never had an experience like this staying at a hotel. Never again will I book with them. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The breakfast room and restaurant are cozy and seem recently updated. It's in kind of a crummy location, the rooms are OLD with problems a plenty (and we're in a suite, so I can only imagine what a standard room is like) - phones don't work, tub doesn't drain (which means water up to your shins when showering), we have a shower cap over our smoke detector (not sure why, but we're afraid to take it down, just in case), the incredibly well hidden hair dryer is in a drawer underneath the television (I had to call down to the front desk to ask for one and the maid came up and looked for it, then showed it to me like, "duh." But why? Why is it under the television, permanently fixed to the inside of the drawer and nowhere near a mirror and why is it unplugged making you think it doesn't work until you climb around underneath the furniture and notice that the cord that looks like it's plugged in is not?), the sink is nearly impossible to turn on or off without nearly ripping the faucet off, the rooms are seriously 70s you guys, room service doesn't start until 5 (no lunch for you), and even when it's on, they'll probably just tell you that they don't have what you want in an impatient way. It is clean though.

If I'm going on long haul trips out of Europe I will try to go for very nice hotels but teh lambeau is the perfect city break hotel. It is not in the very centre of Brussel but don't let that put you off Brussels is small so nowhere is very far the Lambeau is near Montgomery metro and Georges Henri about 6 stops to the centre!

I had a room on the top (7th) floor, which was odd because the elevators only went to the 6th floor and then you had to take stairs up. That was fine, but just a bit odd. The room was clean and simple with a small table to work at and decent bathroom. I also got to check in early, so I could actually grab a shower and nap after my redeye flight, which was very nice. The restaurant in the hotel was well-above-average. Breakfast had a nice selection of scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, and a few vegetables. I had dinner one night where I had Octopus, crème brûlée and Chimay Blue beer. All of which were very good. The location was also convenient to my office, most of the European Commission buildings and some basic touristing.

Service: I was greeted, acknowledged for my status tier and was told that an upgrade was available but that the only difference would be the addition of a coffee maker and welcome amenity. The aforementioned was provided to my non upgraded room. I opted for the $10 daily food and beverage credit, to which the Front Desk Agent was able to provide for two. The Room: it was standard and comfortable but that was about it. The biggest drawback was not being able to lower the in room temperature to below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Even with the heater unit off, the room still felt extremely humid. At one point in the night, and I was woken up to my friend attempting to open the windows that were sealed shut. Even coming back in the evening after a full day of exploration, the room still felt extremely warm. We had phoned the Front Desk and an agent came to our room promptly to address the situation. Initially the agent felt that the room should cool down if we leave the heater unit off. As the room still felt extremely warm, and the agent unable to guarantee that the room would cool down; we were offered to change rooms. And so we did. The Morning After: well, the new room also felt extremely warm throughout the night. Upon my departure of the hotel, I was told that unfortunately the temperature settings cannot go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, as it is normally much colder in January and so the heaters are meant to negate the colder temperatures. Not the greatest answer to hear as much of night was sweaty. The hotel served a purpose for my time in Brussels but that I may not stay here again in the future.

Especially in a city that makes you pay for water wherever you are. They had 3 lifts which were on most days enough but at peak hours it got a little overwhelming as they fill up quick. The staff was always super friendly and responsive and the beer was always cold! The hotel seems to be a very popular spot and dinner service is a busy all the nights I was there. The Courtyard looked nice and I believe they have a Happy Hour. My room had a Garden view and air conditioner worked quite well. Breakfast is available. A couple of misses-safe was locked (was unlocked promptly once I mentioned it) and hand soap dispenser was empty. Good location-1/2 hour walk or 10 minutes Taxi to Grand Palace, Gare Central area. Ordered a Brugse Zot beer from the friendly bartender. Getting ready to pay and the executive director of Hilton walked to me an out of the blue said, "His beer is comped". I was shocked and excited at the same time. We conversed briefly with her and then tipped the bartender and left the Hotel as the Uber cancelled the ride due to heavy traffic. Our room was in the basement, which at first, would seem like a bad thing, but there were only 3 or 4 rooms down there, and our room was the only one with access to the outdoors. Granted, it was a stone covered area where the furnace was housed, and there was no outdoor furniture, but still, being able to go outside without going up to the street was nice. The bed was comfortable and we had enough room to move around without constantly bumping into each other. The television and the shower could have been a bit larger, but we were only staying for one night, so we weren't too upset about it. Also, we just slept there, it wasn't a hang out spot for us, so as long as it was clean and comfortable, we didn't need 5 star accommodations.
