I'm a parent to three boys, all very close in age, with just 35 months between them. When they took up something, they did it with full enthusiasm and always together, whether it was little league or video gaming. As they entered adolescence, they also entered a world where drugs were readily available in schools and on social media. However, the Ibogaine Clinic and their approach to treating addicts using pure Ibogaine extracted from the Iboga root, and that they also have medical professionals on site, overseeing and ensuring the safest and most effective treatment possible; these facts led me to the Ibogaine Clinic. My surviving middle son has now been back from the Ibogaine Clinic for two weeks. He spent 10 days there, and all I can say at this point, that it's nothing short of miraculous. I haven't seen him like this in a decade. He's vibrant, filled with energy, and motivated to make his life better and more fulfilling. We exchanged daily texts while he was undergoing his treatments, and I could witness his progress with each passing day. He's now actively engaged in an excellent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) since his return. Please don't misunderstand me; I deeply appreciate and support the concept of recovery groups and their valuable assistance. What I don't agree with is the notion that "relapse is part of recovery." Perhaps it held true in simpler times when 12-step groups were helping alcoholics and substance abusers, but today, relapse carries a high risk of fatality. My youngest son lost his life to relapse - as does so many opioid addicts. Certainly, Ibogaine isn't a magical solution for completely transforming opioid and alcohol addicted individuals. However, it possesses the capability to 'reset' the brain, allowing the addict to genuinely address the root causes of their addiction without the burden of withdrawal symptoms. I believe a combination of using helpful substances like Ibogaine, coupled with Recovery groups (Sober Living, IOP, Etc) has huge potential for saving many of our loved ones and the millions of Addicts in the world, today. I reported the incident directly to clinic leadership and was later informed that the employee involved was no longer employed there. I spent considerable time attempting to address the matter privately and respectfully before making any public statement. While the incident was acknowledged, meaningful resolution never followed, and communication eventually ceased. treatment requires an extraordinary level of trust. When serious patient-safety concerns are raised, transparency, accountability, and genuine follow-through are essential. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The Ibogaine Clinic by David Dardashti ALMOST KILLED my friend. I recently paid for a friend to go to this clinic for drug addiction. Two months ago she boarded a plane for what we hoped would be a new, clean life. I had quite a few long talks with Cole Barressi, their COO, prior to her going. One conversation with Cole (he is an amazing salesman) and you come away believing that ibogaine can cure anything from the common cold to a rainy day. I'm being facetious of course, but he certainly convinced me that her addictions could be eliminated with virtually no withdrawals and with a claimed 10-year sobriety rate of better than 92%, my friend was incredibly excited to go. My first clue should have been when Cole claimed it's a myth that methadone collects in a person's bones. Studies on the NIH website show that it does. I asked how 3 or 4 doses of ibogaine could eliminate all the methadone in her bone marrow, where a lipophilic drug like methadone typically collects. He assured me that something called a "Rife machine" could detox it all. Their Rife machine is in fact little more than an ionic foot bath, a single 1-hour session with which they purport to pull all that out. Not likely. Another problem is they never did an intake with my friend. I gave Cole details on what I understood her history to be with various drugs, dosages etc. However, this was all second-hand info and neither Cole nor anyone at the clinic ever did an actual first-hand interview with my friend (by phone or in person) to get her history or check for anything I might have missed. I was assured this would be done and yet it was not. She went straight into her first ibogaine session the night she arrived. No intake or blood tests, only a brief orientation on what to expect during treatment. She in fact never had ANY blood work done during her entire stay. When she came home she felt awful (like being hit by a truck, she said) and her bones ached badly. She had often complained about this to the staff while she was there but all they did was give her vitamins and B12 shots for energy. When I asked Cole about it towards the end of her first week, he casually dismissed this as typical "seeking" behavior common to addicts. Back home she got steadily worse. After 10 days, she was fully bed-ridden, nauseous, throwing up, could barely move and couldn't even keep water down. When she finally went to the ER she was admitted with a severely inflamed liver. According to the hospital, the ibogaine had triggered a severe flare-up of hepatitis C. Her liver was enlarged and her liver enzyme levels were over 2000. Normal is 10 to 20. She was told had she waited another 6 hours she would likely have died of liver failure. It took the better part of a week to get her stabilized. Her enzymes topped out at over 3000. Look it up. This is fatal liver failure territory. She was also diagnosed as being in severe methadone withdrawal, so the ibogaine had done absolutely nothing for that either. Hepatitis and elevated enzyme levels (above 50) are both contra-indicators for ibogaine treatment. Most clinics require blood tests for such conditions before and during treatment. This clinic apparently does not and instead plays Russian Roulette with their patients' lives. Meanwhile, Cole had ghosted us. My friend was supposed to be on a two week treatment plan but after the first full week, when it became clear that she was not going to be a poster child success story for his clinic, he cut off all communication with us. He has not responded to VM's or texts and won't answer his phone. We have been in touch with a guy named David Douglas, who has been sympathetic but nothing more. He supposedly notified Cole of my friend's brush with death but as yet NOBODY has bothered to call either one of us. For Cole to abandon a patient mid-treatment right when she needed the clinic most, both he and the clinic he represents have zero credibility with me, either personally or professionally. Cole had made a big deal about it being a 5-star facility. I found out later that most of these ratings come from the staff. When patients check out, the staff ask if they would be willing to give a rating and then ask for them to hand over their phone so they can "help them" do that. They scan a QR code, punch in a "5" and then hand the phone back. I confirmed this with several other patients I knew. Cole told to me that the 5-star rating allows the clinic to charge premium rates for their services. AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COSTS!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT CARE ONE BIT FOR THEIR PATIENTS' WELFARE. If anyone is planning to file suit against them, count me in. I am also considering pressing criminal charges. Since my fees were wired to Sabra Med Health, a Florida for-profit corporation, I believe that David Dardashti and Cole could be charged under Florida's Culpable Negligence statutes and as actual harm was done in this case, that could be a felony carrying up to 5 years. read more

I am writing to address what I believe to be instances of medical malpractice during my recent stay at your facility. I am reaching out in an effort to resolve these issues before pursuing legal action, which may involve filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit alongside two other residents, Marc and Ken, who shared similar experiences, if not worse. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that I maintain a strict lifestyle, adhering to a scriptural diet that consists solely of organic food and spring water. Despite your claims of having chefs on staff and offering organic options, the reality of the food provided was far from satisfactory, simpler to a taco truck. The snacks were processed, the quality of the meals was subpar and inedible, and the bedding was made of polyester, which contains neurotoxins harmful to the body. The overall facility fell short of the luxury standards advertised on your website, resembling a budget motel rather than a high-end retreat. Furthermore, the lack of attention to detail extended to basic amenities such as the shower faucet, which leaked and had little to no water pressure, and the insufficient supply of toiletries. The use of Palmolive soap, a known skin irritant and neurotoxin, was particularly concerning given my strict adherence to chemical-free products. During our excursion to the water hole, we found it closed, and the beach we visited did not meet expectations of luxury. The treatment received did not align with the promises made regarding Ibogaine therapy, and the second treatment was notably ineffective. I have taken a sample of the medication provided and will have it independently tested in the USA. If the substance is found to be anything other than Ibogaine, legal malpractice and fraud action may be pursued. Additionally, the unprofessional behavior displayed during my first session, as well as Ken's, was unacceptable, two of you Antonio and the nurse screaming and her crying was beyond acceptible durning my session, how was I to even get to any state of relaxation. Moreover, I was mistakenly or intentionally served pork in a sandwich despite my dietary restrictions and even on your website and signage, which was a significant oversight. I now have to undergo an expending two week fast and detox to rid of the toxins from my body. Avoid this clinic if you seek genuine healing. Don't trust Cole, the salesman. This place lacks the nurturing vibe needed for Ibogaine's potential. My visit was a costly letdown. Yelp reviews better reflect the reality. Cole's misrepresentation set the stage for my frustration. I was looking to reset my burnt-out brain and optimize dopamine, aiming for personal growth--no substance abuse issues. Cole's confidence sold me. Then I read on their website: "Unlike the traditional approach that administers a high single dose of Ibogaine based on weight... our technique diverges from the high-dose approach." This worried me. I called Cole back, saying I wanted the high "flood" dose and might look elsewhere. He assured me they provide it, just under a different name. That was false. I received two medium-to-low dose treatments. Neither I nor two other guests felt anything transformative--just nausea and a mild buzz. One slept through it! I could hear him snoring! Unlikely for a flood dose from everything I've read. Sessions lasted 4 to 6 hours. No visuals, insights, or "voice of truth". The manager admitted they use lower doses for detox safety, practical for them as a business, but not what I was promised by Cole. As soon as I my taxi pulled up and I saw the front I said "oh shit" aloud to myself. I could feel a super heavy energy coming off the building. No welcome team greeted me. A nurse, barely fluent in English (she'd answer yes to questions that were not yes or no questions), handed me a pee cup, took vitals with tangled EKG wires, and gave me a contract to sign that stated I wasn't allowed to leave the building without a nurse. I refused to sign, but a non-English-speaking orderly trailed me for 3 days anytime I left for a walk! Super embarrassing. No one explained the clinics process my first day or any day following. Another guest oriented me--without him, I'd have been lost. Communal areas and the treatment room all had the same heavy and oppressive energy, so I stayed in the backyard my whole visit, but an extremely noisy road and sewage plant across the street it killed the vibe. The backyard had inward-facing barbed wire! That should have tipped me off. It felt exactly like a prison. Privacy was nonexistent--staff knocked, then unlocked my door instantly and walked in. The website and a poster on my wall in my room promised a meeting with Dr. Dardashti, but he was absent. Staff and two relapsed (within a year of treatment there) returnees called me lucky to miss his "Grinch-like" and "mean" demeanor. They also told me the abandoned mansion next door used to be a drug cartel house that got raided. Charming. Post-treatment care was absent. After the 4-hour first session, I was sent upstairs, weak, nauseous, and waterless. I vomited, too frail to fetch help, with no phone # to call staff. No one checked on me that night or next morning. Food wasn't healing--burgers cooked in soy oil, wrapped in plastic at noon and served hours later cold for dinner, and snacks like Fruit Loops and lollipops contradicted "no processed foods" prep advice. Soaps and bedding were cheap, synthetic. Roaches in the bedroom. Staff were polite but, except for the therapist and manager, spoke little English. Treatments and events started late. Nurses forgot my microdose capsules unless prompted. They said I could walk the golf course, but aggressive staff there confronted me. Two returning guests, relapsed within a year, raised efficacy doubts for addicts.. Another patient, there for 10 days, felt the same way I did and fled after 3 days, forfeiting over $10,000 rather than stay another day. She was left alone during treatment, dragging her IV to the bathroom. This clinic may suit those unable to detox beforehand and need a prison to protect them from themselves, but not me or anyone I care about. I'm reviewing from a different account to protect my privacy, but I assure you I was there. Cole's assurances lured me into a $9,500 misadventure. Right medicine, wrong set and setting. I went there because Cole assured me that Ibogaine was a Cure for Lupus fibromyalgia psoriatic arthritis and my panic disorder. I started having heart problems and I was sure I was going to die. I crawled to the hallway ripping the IV from my arm. This place is a SCAM. I didn't have food for 4 days only water. They took my anxiety medicine and refused to return it. I booked a plane ticket and cab costing 900 dollars just to escape this hell hole. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change my plans and, regrettably, could not receive the intended services. I promptly contacted Cole to request a refund, as I had not utilized any of their services and felt it was a reasonable request. To my surprise, they initially processed the refund after a month of my request, and I received the money back in my account. However, my dissatisfaction with Ibogaine by David Dardashti arose when they subsequently filed a dispute to reclaim the refunded amount, which led to my financial accounts being frozen. This unexpected turn of events left me in a difficult and distressing situation. I want to emphasize that I had never received any treatment or service from Ibogaine by David Dardashti, and I had adhered to their refund policy in good faith. The actions taken by this business to reverse the refund and freeze my accounts have been both perplexing and distressing. The FACT is the only 2 consistent people were Tanya and Antonio neither who are medical professionals. They would bring a so-called nurse in (1) at time to be on the property and I'm not even sure they were nurses. While my loved one was there I received a text message from one of these so-called nurses that was there supposedly looking after my loved one, he wanted me to wire him $500.00 so he could send my loved one home with a drug to help them in their recover. He claimed he was looking out for my loved one and cared. I told him "NO" that their US DR had the medication he recommended and he would not be getting money from us....(he stole $ from the patient anyway). The stories and my concerns don't end here, I have proof along with videos of the horrible, unsafe, threatening things that occur here. Again, read the reviews, one man found in the pool upside down alone, one young man while giving his review had to actually ask David what his name was....does that sound like someone who knew this man, again remember most of the good reviews if not all are staged by David himself. David has a tendency to tell people what they are thinking. "You are not in withdrawal!" he will yell at people. Yes, he does yell. He's got a very short temper.
