I have nothing but good things to say about IC Federal Credit Union on Bemis Rd in Fitchburg the people were always nice to me and I've never had any problems. I give five stars and now I have moved to Florida to make a new chapter in my life, I just wish they had a bank down here like IC Federal Credit Union but they don't. I deposited a check 6 days ago and they still haven't cleared the total amount of the check!! I've called twice, keep being told it will go through but still nothing! All I can say is beware of this place, they have gone completely down hill!! read more

If I could give a lower score I would. Had to beg for 4 temp checks while awaiting my permanent checks. It takes 2 weeks to get new checks. They need customer service training. Worst banking institution I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. It has become impossible to get ahold of anyone at the institution and they no longer allow for consumers to pay their loan debts online. I have been unable to pay my loan amount on the automated phone system. I wish I could post zero stars. read more

Could it be possible to leave a negative 5 star review? Absolutely WORSE banking I have EVER used. I currently have an auto loan with this establishment. I have ALWAYS paid my bills on time and had excellent credit until these clowns. My account was processed with auto payments and worked fine until it didn't. Then suddenly I got notifications my account was behind and sent to collections. WHAT?!?! I panicked and called the bank immediately. It appears my auto payment expired and I was never notified. Now let's back up and let me tell you I had a horrific time setting up my account and ended up doing it with an online assistance. NEVER was I told the auto payments would expire after a certain amount of time. I then worked with the bank and was assured AFTER I made double payments of over $300 that I was up to date, they entered (so I was told) my auto payments to begin again and to not expire, to be open ended for life of loan. I then worked with collections department that was ridiculously slow and it took over a month to get rectified. I was offered a "letter" in case I needed to show proof this was not my error but the banks. Yeah right - keep your letter the damage was done and my credit score plummeted 41 points. So today I check to see if in fact my payment was taken out as it appeared not to have been and here I am going through the same situation again. RUN from this credit union - I have my regular accounts with DCU which I have never had an issue with. I have a loan through Workers Credit Union which is also wonderful to work with. I was warned about IC Federal but since this was who the car dealership worked with I went along. WORSE MISTAKE. I have only seen one positive review about this bank and it is probably a family member. read more

i scheduled an appointment on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, @ 9:30 AM @ Parkhill Plaza. Confirmation number: ORULGJ4N for 30 minutes. The reason I scheduled this appointment was because I kept getting a chip card error when using my debit card at POS. I also was experiencing issues with online orders at such stores as CVS and Walmart. Wouldn't accept the card? I arrived at 9:15 AM for my appointment. Yes, I was early. I informed the teller I had a 9:30 appointment. She told me to have a seat. A women walked into the lobby. She went to the teller and the teller told her that Brock Mirkle could see her now. This woman went in. I went to the teller and asked if this woman had an appointment. The teller stated , 'No', but I was too early for my appointment. Brock Mirkle, overhearing our conversation, came out of his office and informed me that he would be tied up for the next hour and a half as this woman was opening a business account. I asked if this person had an appointment and Mr. Mirkle told me 'No'! mr. Mirkle went on to state that he was told by his manager that whoever comes in first gets waited on whether they have an appointment or not. Mr. Mirkle stated his manager was on vacation and he informed me that the tellers could assist me. I went to the teller window and what transpired there was unreal. These tellers are not knowledgeable enough to handle this situation. Plus I am giving them private information in front of other members. One teller, when not servicing members, had his back turned towards me. The teller who was attempting to assist me kept asking the other 'clueless' teller what to do. It was OBVIOUS neither teller were trained as to the 'how' to assist a member in this type of situation. I was quickly becoming embarrassed, frustrated and fearful that someone would attempt to steal my identity! Mr. Mirkle came out of his office and stated the woman he was assisting did not have the necessary paperwork to open a business account. Therefore he could now assist me. Once in Mr. Mirkle's office we filled out the necessary paperwork to get a new debit card. I informed Mr. Mirkle that I had talked at length with CVS's technology department (3 hours to be exact), as to 'why' my debit card wouldn't process properly. They ran through several attempts on their end, and stated it had to do with the Credit Union. Mr. Mirkle didn't know how to respond to that. I did receive a new card. It appears to be working correctly. For how long? Who knows? IC Credit Union member service has DRASTICALLY gone down hill. Why offer members appointments if someone can walk in and get serviced quicker than the member with the appointment?? I worked at IC Credit Union years ago as administrative assistant to Jennifer Joyce for a year. I left because my Mom was dying from cancer and I wanted to be with her. I know how members should be treated. The worst part is NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE how the members are treated. As soon as I mention to people IC Credit Union they tell me they left years ago because of poor member services or issues with loans. I know this complaint will fall on deaf ears of the employees at the Credit Union. I know what I am stating here. I worked as a teller at a savings bank in Fitchburg for 4 years and left to raise my family. 22 years later I returned to that savings bank to work in the collections. Descent website, poor customer service. Have tried several times to get a simple address update for my account. Somehow they "made up" an address for me and slapped it on my account. Tried using the website, to no avail. Called, on hold forever listening to marketing tapes. Now I'm trying secure messaging, still waiting on that but most likely it'll be ignored as well. They offer many "ways" to reach them but none seem to work. read more

Worst banking experience ever. Wouldn't even trust them with Monopoly money. They screw up transactions (I'm talking mistakes in the thousands) They've been consistently going downhill, and the behavior from employees is disgusting. Extremely low standards all around. How the heck do they mess up and take thousands out of the wrong account? They even mess up simple transactions, and then lie right to your face about it. read more

After my bank account information from another bank was compromised, I decided to open up new accounts here. I have heard nothing but good things and decided it was a great choice. I met with a member of the management team and opened my accounts with what I thought was no issue, until my boyfriend went in at a later date to add himself to a joint savings account which was also set up during my visit. Apparently not only did he have access to our new joint savings account but he also had access to my person checking and savings, which I did not authorize. Fortunately, the gentleman that assisted him that day fixed it right away and was able to right the wrong. I thought everything was squared away until I grew impatient after not receiving my debit card after 2 full weeks from my original visit. After speaking with the same gentleman that assisted my boyfriend I learned that a debit card was never ordered even though I had specified that I needed one when I opened my accounts. Hopefully everything has been taken care of and there will be no further incidents. Overall, I am not too impressed that management couldn't correctly open basic accounts for me. The only redeeming aspect is the kind gentleman at the counter that assisted us throughout this dilemma. read more

I HATE dealing with IC credit Union. About 15 years ago I had 4 accounts with them. Personal, Savings, Business and a savings for my granddaughter, but under my name, SS, etc.... I moved, and a few years go by and I go to withdraw money for my Granddaughter. IT'S ALL GONE!!! They took $10.00 a month out because they couldn't contact me for THAT account. It had my SSN. It was same as All 3 other accounts and they were moved to my new address, but not this savings one. I actually had to call "Help me Hank" for advice. They called IC credit, and magically the money was "partially" restored. I closed ALL accounts and left them after that. Fast Forward to 2020. A car dealership got me a loan, and they happened to do it through IC Arghhh... The IC site is HORRIBLE!!! EVERY SINGLE MONTH I have to go through this tedious process of verification by getting a code sent to my phone via voice or text. Trouble is, my phone just died. They have NO OTHER WAY to verify you. No website method. No Email method. No 24 Support. NOTHING! So now I am stuck without access to my account for the weekend, maybe longer, all because my phone died. Their site and security methods are HORRIBLE!!! The loan with them was NOT my choice, and I plan on moving it away (far, far away) from IC ASAP!!! UPDATE - THEY ARE HORRENDOUS!!! NOW, I get mail from them telling me they are going to share my information to MARKETING COMPANIES, unless I spend my Stamps and take the time to write them not to? I thought this was a CREDIT UNION. Owned by the people and protective of them, not some corporate jerks. MY BLOOD IS BOILING!!!! read more

If only zero stars were an option. I recently bought a new car and the dealership set my loan up at IC Federal Credit Union. There are very limited locations around anyway, never mind locations "near" my house. There is no ease of access to pay the loan, the only real option is online the day that it's due. After changing where my loan was, due to inconvenience, I tried to close out my account and take what little money I had there, instead I was charged extra money to close it out since it was before a six month period was up. This has been the worst experience with a bank and the customer service sucked. I will not do business there ever again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Absolutely the worst bank ever!!! I was in great standing with this bank for years. No issues! I closed my accounts and had a measly $29.00 left over to pay. I didn't get back to pay it off until a month and a half and stayed in contact with them the whole time. They reported me to the credit agency. My score dropped 100 points. I very calmly called them to ask if they would remove the bad remark. They made every excuse in the book why they could not. Basically, they didn't care to help me. Warning to all customers and potential customers, this bank doesn't care about you. Have a nice day! read more

I have been banking with IC for many years and they just do not appear to care about a customer who has been with them for so long. Some folks are nice enough, but others only care about the bank policies without so much as listening to what the customer is asking for or needs. I understand banks have policies and for good reason....I also have policies, one of which being I only recommend things that have customer service and loyalty at the forefront. I would not recommend IC for this reason, go elsewhere and establish a relationship because I just don't feel you will get that here. read more
