We saw this place online while we were on our way to the John Deere Pavilion. Is it called the…read moresteel plow because of John Deere? Idk. We saw a picture of the milkshakes and decided we HAD to come here. Great looking restaurant, very clean and modern. Our waitress was super nice, always making sure we had what we needed. We started off with an appetizer of cheese curds. They had a combo basket with all 3 flavors; regular, garlic, and jalapeño. Very disappointed, could not tell the difference in flavor between the 3. We asked our waitress if it was a mistake and we didn't get the combo but she unfortunately said no and that people have mentioned that before. I of course got a burger, bison burger, brioche bun, and the toppings I like. I built my own because I just couldn't make up my mind. I loved it, cooked perfectly, juicy, so much flavor. I think it was my first time ever having bison and I enjoyed it. Fries were good. Now here comes the delicious part, we got a chocolate chip cookie sundae to share because we were stuffed, and the price of the milkshakes seemed a little high. It did take a little longer than we hoped to get to our table, but our great waitress kept us updated and apologized for the wait. It was so good, my mouth is watering 30 hours later thinking about it. It was enough for 2 adults and a 21 month old. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. I do think it's a little overpriced. But I really enjoyed dining here and can't wait to come back.

We shared the family pretzel and I had the Mr. Anderson burger; both were delicious! The burger was a touch overcooked (ordered medium), but still good. We had a big group of 18, and they did a fantastic job accommodating us on the enclosed patio. Good food and great atmosphere if you're staying in the QC area.

My grandfather was the CEO of a dairy co-op, so we've grown up with more dairy than most! When he…read moretold us this was the spot for ice cream (because they use a milk with another fat content), we were hooked. That was 20 years ago! Every time we make a pilgrimage back to Iowa, Whiteys is a stop we make! The vibe here is so relaxed and they maintain it while being busy. The folks are super friendly and keep everything moving while there. They've got just short of a bajillion flavors - including Sergeant Camo, a brown butter cookie dough, and season flavors like blueberry cheesecake and John Deere classic - it's all next level good and very affordable. The split mini scoop is something like $3.50 (I think the total for 5 of us was $21) and the combo options are endless. Do yourself a solid and check out Whiteys Ice cream wherever you are! It's worth it!

First, if you've never had Whitey's, you should go try it…read more I worked at this Whitey's during high school and some breaks during college. Of course I had to visit when I was back in town. The flavors are still consistent with what they've always been but they have added some new items. I thought it was interesting that I received my one dip in a cup that used to be used for two dips and the two dip was in the larger cup. I guess that's a change! But with the ever increasing prices it was nice to think I got a little more than I used to. I also noticed that there was no more yogurt? It was never that popular so not too surprising. This was a great place to work, I appreciated the order, cleanliness, and high expectations. You could always keep busy with it being a popular business. Customers were typically happy because it's ice cream. You also bulked up that forearm muscle. Tips: - there is a secret menu (cinnamon toast crunch shake, blueberry pie shake, and others I've forgotten) - you can only go wrong if you order Black Walnut, other flavors are all pretty good. My favorites were Swiss Almond Chocolate and White Chocolate Raspberry if you're looking to try something new - tips are accepted (I didn't go in so not sure if they updated the pay thing to ask if you want to tip) but never necessary. They always make my day when I got one.
