I am pretty disappointed in what happened here today, it is a Friday at 6 pm and there are 2 employees working here with a line of people waiting, witnessed 1 person leave because of slow service, we ordered subs and waited about 15 min to be told there was no roast beef sliced and the employ working couldn't slice more without the owners being there. we decided to not purchase the subs and left. I would think that unless there was some kind of emergency that the owner would be there on a very popular evening. Finding an ice cream spot (or anything for that matter) on a Sunday in these parts is near impossible. I was starting to lose hope of finding some good homemade ice cream upstate before reaching the highway home until I stumbled upon this place. my fav thing has to be the slushy coolers which is like ice-cream and slushy and is like a must in summer. i love they got something for dogs. when i had my dog on walk would get something sometimes. be gone in seconds. loved the food, sub is not bad ether got it several times. i miss when they close for the season i swear id get the slushy cooler even in winter if i could stand the cold enough. when they open back up again each season is like a requirement to go. read more

While we were traveling home from Ithaca we had the pleasure of dropping into this lovely place! The sundaes we had we so good! We even left with some doggy treats (which all melted before arriving back in jersey but the point is that we were able to buy them ahha). We simply refrozen the ice cream treats and gave them to the dogs ones re-frozen. I may or may not have liked the ice cream so much that I too have myself a treat! I decided to spend my Saturday exploring Owego. I was told that this was a must visit. Because I wanted to shop , I left my doggo at home. I knew I wanted to try a homemade flavor. I went with Christmas Cookie and it was definitely nostalgic. The flavor was great with huge cookie chunks. I saw that they had a special treat for dogs and took two home for my boy. Chocolate soft serve was sooo creamy and smooth like fluffy cold chocolate pillows. French Roast not good-little to no coffee flavor however that was not one of there original flavors. The Black Cherry Swirl- it was a good amount of sweet however, I was disappointed to find bits of waffle cone in the Black Cherry which is not listed on the ingredients. When we returned our plate, I asked if that one was supposed to have waffle cone pieces in it. The young women replied No. I replied "Well ours did and I had let the young women helping us know I'm Gluten Free and asked ingredients." The young lady said "Ok" I was dumbfounded I was hoping for an apology next time I'll be sure to say explicitly what I am looking for. Driving through Owego from north to south, we passed a little ice cream shop. Seeing it at the last second, I resolved we would stop at the next ice cream place we saw. Fortunately for us, I saw Ice Cream Works. What a great stop. The ice cream was delicious, the staff and owner friendly. Whether their homemade ice cream or one of their specialty items, it was an awesome place to pause for 30 minutes or so on our way south.
