Yes, it's an inn so small and a bit older, but that just adds to the cozy charm and makes it a perfect northern getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the heated bathroom floor, towel warmer, and shower jets were such a nice touch. We were even welcomed with warm cookies waiting in the room. Breakfast is included and made fresh. You choose your options ahead of time, which was great. The TV in the room is small, but it fits the cozy vibe. There are plenty of books and games in the lobby and extra room for entertainment. One small note, I'd recommend staying in an upstairs room, as some of the floorboards creak and I imagine the sound carries to rooms below. Since we were only there for a short time, we mainly interacted with Peter at the bar and he was fantastic. He even added something to my drink to make it sweeter. I would absolutely stay here again on my next Okemo trip and would love to try dinner next time too.

Based on reviews and their webpage, I was under the impression that breakfast was provided but it was not. You can buy breakfast in the restaurant but it is expensive. The weirdest part of the stay was that there is no host to check guests in or help with issues. It is completely virtual! You press the button on a doorbell camera and someone answers after like 5 min. I had to press it several times to get a response at 10 am in the day of my checkout. The response was the staff doesn't show up until 11 am; which is the checkout time. There is a text number but the person or AI agent on the other end clearly is not the innkeeper or anyone capable of making decisions. They/It provided faulty information and was the opposite of helpful. If this is what the future of hospitality looks like, I am not impressed. My family rented two rooms on the first floor. One room facing the back of the property was nice but the other one (#15) was very small and had two windows overlooking the front porch and yard. Unfortunately there are chairs just outside of the windows and someone kept sitting in one of them and talking on her phone. It was very uncomfortable to have the shades open and have someone sitting right there. Because of this we had to keep the curtains drawn and with the room being so small, it felt like we were in a cave. Basically, it sounds like staying at the Jackson used to be a very nice experience but new owners/management are now trying to run the hotel as cheaply as possible. Guests are noticing.

Joel meticulously cares for the plentiful plants, is always around but not hovering, and can provides great breakfast wait service as well as local recommendations. If you have specific needs such as breakfast earlier than 8a to get to the mountain or dinner need, just make sure to reach out ahead of time. If you use the gas stove in your room, beware as it heats the room up quick and is hard to cool done!

I called the 1-800 number and no one answered. Thankfully, David from the property had emailed me a few days prior because they changed my room and his personal number was in his signature. He gave me the correct code to get in. Who knows how long I would have been standing outside at night waiting if I didn't have his direct cellphone number. This was after I slipped and had a horrible fall on the icy walkway directly in front of the units. My knees are literally aching, swollen and black and blue. This made skiing the next morning quite painful. I also injured one of my hands. I emailed photos of the injury and was essentially told by Barbara "sorry..." and "...bad weather is expected..." I think safety should also be expected. They were unwilling to offer any sort of remedy for the injury and inconvenience the fall caused. The close proximity to the mountain is not worth the trouble. Stay elsewhere if you can.

If you show up after hours there is no one at the front desk and you need to drive up the road about 2-3 miles in order to get the keys. The signs are very poor explaining where to go. Our group of 5 people stayed at #43, which is actually located at 144 Village Circle, Killington VT. The entrance to the Resort is right across the street from Peppino's Italiain (747 Killington Road). ** The 450 Killington Road address is the address of the lease office from where you get your keys&lease agreement, as well as return your keys+check out, for your stay. ** The condo that we stayed at was very comfortable, with a livingroom (fireplace, couch (sofa-bed), t.v. with dvd&vhs players, as well as boardgames and a puzzle!), master bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 upstairs loft area with couch (sofa-bed), laundry+drying machines, as well as a decently sized kitchen with EVERYTHING (utensils, cups, glasses, plates, bowls, toaster, coffee maker, frying pans, soap+sponge..). Although sheets+towels were provided, shampoo/conditioner/body-wash were not. What was also great about this accomodation, was that.. as we stayed here for a winter weekend and were planning on snowboarding/skiing, our stay at The Woods included door-to-door shuttle for our group to be transported to/from Killington Ski Resort! This was absolutely wonderful (just make sure to make your reservations a day earlier!). The location is very conveniently located to restaurants and markets in the area, as well as to the Killington Ski Resort (should you decide to just drive there on your own). The spa/pool area is very nice, complete with locker rooms w/showers, etc. All in all, I felt very much at home at this location.. and almost wish that we were here for a whole week, rather than just a weekend!
