Stand by to get some. FAA-CT is a low-frills MMA gym where the focus is on family, friendship, and…read moregetting after it. Nick and his instructors are top notch professionals who make it a point to connect with every student. They make sure new students are given a comfortable place to practice and learn while still giving the experienced athletes the space they need to work and sweat. FAA-CT is MMA-focused so very little time is spent on the structure and rituals you may have experienced in traditional martial arts. The gym is kept clean and the atmosphere is loosed and fun while still maintaining high levels of focus and safety for all. They are also very affordable compared to comparable MMA gyms in the area. The best endorsement I can give comes from my kids. My 9yo daughter checks the class schedule a few times a day and won't stop asking what class is next and how many days away it is. My 15yo has found a new extended family. She leaves every workout glowing not because she's learning how to fight, but because every adult in the gym has taken the time to learn her name and gives her the "good work" fist bump after every class.

They were alright but they didn't have what I was looking for. FitClub has good vibes and hard training. There's not one person with a big ego or bad attitude in this place, and the ones that do don't end up joining. If you're looking for professional training with World class athletes and Champions then I highly suggest you drop in for a class!

I personally have always been a fan of weight lifting and strength training but going to the Fit Club classes such as the "body shock" and "ultimate fitness" where they always mix it up and usually it involves circuit training, alternating with body weight exercises and actual weights- I have been experiencing far more intense workouts then when I used to train on my own. I've always loved working out but I've never been able to Push as hard on my own as when I'm being instructed in the classes. Oh! I finally began to join the cardio boxing classes there too! I was way too shy/nervous/intimidated at first to do this but finally gave in cause it looked so fun. I'm a total convert. Now my favorite classes are the boxing! I get such an insane workout and I have such a good time, the instructors are awesome and I love the music! Everyone who goes to this gym is so friendly and it's such a wide range of people who come in, age, fitness level, etc that l can't see anyone walking in and feeling out of place. Also, I sometimes go into the gym when there's not a class going on just to do acro-yoga and play and do my own workouts.

If you're looking for the best 100% no-gi jiu jitsu experience in Connecticut, stop searching --…read morethis is the place. I've been training at Connecticut Submission Grappling (CSG) for the past five months, and it's easily one of the best decisions I've made in 2025. The vibe is welcoming and ego free. Whether you're brand new or a seasoned grappler, everyone's here to help each other learn and improve. The gym itself is modern with state of the art facilities. It has no smell (huge for me), a large mat space, a small gym area, a bottle refill station, AC, and a shower. It's a space clearly built by people who care about safety, progress, and long-term development. But what truly sets CSG apart are the instructors and their approach to coaching. Alex and Ryan have completely redefined what coaching means to me, while being two of the most down to earth people I've met. After more than a decade around youth and college soccer coaches, I'm used to seeing people stick to how they were taught or what worked for them in their careers. These two are different. They're constantly researching and talking with experts in movement science and skill development to sharpen their approach. The instruction you get each class feels thoughtful and personal, not one size fits all. Each class is built around live game based scenarios that feel more like playing a sport than doing repetitive drills. There are no warm-ups, no punishments, no speeches, and no wasted time. Just real grappling and real development from start to finish. Whether you're in Fairfield County or New Haven County, and whether you're brand new or have years of experience, CSG is absolutely worth your time. If your current gym feels stale or you're not getting enough live work, this is the upgrade you've been looking for. Come train with us!
