Had a fun time here, it has been many years since we had been ice skating. Came on Saturday night for the public skate session. When we asked about the BOGO, we were told that promo was no longer valid, which initially was a disappointment, but after speaking to the GM, he made it right. That is the kind of excellent customer service companies should have. Everyone will stumble at times, but it is how it is handled after the fact that makes the difference. I want to thank him for the excellent response to this. This rink itself is great, large, nice ice. The seats and facility could use some updating, bathrooms some TLC, but it seems fine for what it is. It is also very cold as many have mentioned, but I just thought that was normal for rinks, so it did not bother me. Just dress warm, especially if not skating. The rental skates are pretty heavy, but worked for the time we were there, just take some breaks or bring your own. You can rent those little walker looking things as well for an additional fee to help with balance if need be. They have them for kids or adults. They have some games for the kids, snacks and drinks in machines around and a snack bar that to get other food, drinks, hot chocolate, coffee and beer. They also have locker rooms for team events. Other than the BOGO issue, we did have a very fun time despite that. As of this posting, (11/17/24) they no longer do the BOGO on Saturday nights just to clarify. But still go, you will have fun. $17 per skater, which includes the skates for a 2 hour session. Enjoy!

I brought my child to Iceoplex in Simi Valley on January 17, 2026 for a kids' class (drop‑off). The official website clearly showed a price of $25 for this class, but when we arrived we were told the price was $30. There was no notice of a price change on the website or posted at the rink. When I asked them to honor the advertised price, the staff -- specifically a female employee at the desk -- refused outright without explanation. This is misleading and unfair, especially for parents who plan and pay based on advertised prices for children's classes. Charging more than the advertised price without proper notice is unacceptable. I cannot recommend Iceoplex to anyone expecting honest pricing and respectful service.

I love bringing my girls to Iceoplex! We signed them up for the group classes on Tuesdays at 4:30 and makeup classes on Saturdays at 11:30 -- and in just 3 months, they've gone from clinging to the wall to skating backwards and doing swirls. Sure, they still look like baby deer on ice, but the progress has been awesome to watch. We also added private lessons with Coach Lena -- she's fantastic. Super patient, great with kids, and somehow makes them feel like mini Olympians. Bonus: it's surprisingly affordable. Shoutout to Johnny at the skate shop too -- he sharpens blades like a pro and even customized their skate guards for cheap. Only reason it's not 5 stars? The front desk vibes are...let's just say, frosty. A little warmth wouldn't hurt. Attached a quick video so you can see what the group classes look like in action!

By far the coldest rink I've been to. Bring winter accessories and a puffy jacket. Sweatshirts alone will not cut it. PROs: - Canadian beers at the snack bar & one time use hand warmers! - LOVE the Kings decor and banners! - "Warm" rooms up top on both sides of the rink are a nice perk. You can watch from afar if you prefer to stay warmer than next to the rink - Bless the heaters!! 1 quarter per 10 minute...seven will get you through the game. Second row to the top is the way to go! - Plenty of vending machines including a reasonably priced hot chocolate, latte, coffee machine - Lots of grab claw machines and games for siblings to entertain themselves; lol CONS: - 7AM game and the stall is out of toilet covers and paper; not well kept up. Pro tip: The bathrooms on the right side are less used. - Parking should be enough to cover everyone but friends & family show ip for tournaments. Factor it in to ensure you have parking!

Iceoplex is ok I've been figure skating here for about two years but the targeted bad reviews towards us is very mean and hurtful

We went the day after New Year in the morning. It was not crowded at first but was fairly full by 11am. The single entry into the rink made it crowded, otherwise it was not crowded while skating. At 9am there was no line/wait. We enjoyed ourselves and it was a kid friendly and beginner friendly outing. Beginners should rent the walker when you purchase entry. We dressed warm with multiple layers and most removed some layers as they skated more but generally there was request for gloves/better gloves the longer they skated. The facility is older, cafe was not open, there was no seating for those watching (bleachers were closed off), restrooms were acceptable. But we were satisfied and happy with the activity and would return again.

What a horrible place to play hockey. The refs are absolutely the worst. They are completely biased and make up fake calls so their home team can win. The ref even told a player, "I don't care, I don't even want to be here." Even the linesman admitted how horrible the ref was. The Mariner parents are also awful. They were yelling at their kids to start fights. Hope you never have to play here.

Great ice rink and my daughter had an amazing time for her birthday. The staff were great and very attentive to all of our needs.

Public skate had an area closed off for skating lessons. No disclosure about this. Couldn't find a manager to complain. This place is just dishonest.

Was here for a weekend figure skating competition and overall had an ok time. It does seem like there is an amazing family scene here, and I didn't experience anything beyond just the weekend of competing, so I only have notes on my personal thoughts :) + cute cafe / bar with food and beer (friend had some pretty good chicken strips that were well priced for the portion size) + friendly staff in cafe, good humored and nice + good parking, plenty of space in the parking lot, never had any issues finding spots + lots of families, saw a lot of activity over the weekend such as youth hockey games, seems like there's a lot of great programs available - so cold! Duh it's an ice rink but definitely one of the coldest rinks I've ever been in. Even the stands and locker rooms were pretty cold - not the cleanest, around the stands area and locker rooms the facilities were kinda old and not the most well kept. Some of the bathrooms in the locker rooms didn't have mirrors which sucked for figure skating - no wifi :/ there is a password protected network but no one was giving out the password. Really sucks if you have to be there for extended amounts of time.

The fun never ends at this fabulous rink! Whether you come for a couple of hours to skate or you are a skater who has a coach or coaches and compete. My granddaughters have competed solo's duet's, trio's, ensemble's, production teams, extravaganza's, synchronized skating and have done the show's all offered at the Iceoplex Simi Valley. It all started with skating school. I have added a lot of pictures to showcase the years of ice time. Come and join in the fun! You won't regret it! Check out my pictures by clicking the link below.

If you bring your own you don't have to rent or pay a fee, just your ticket for entry. It's been more packed now so the line to get in is longer, getting a table is harder, parking is worse. PARKING: The parking lot is small so I had to park around the block, but it's not a long walk. But now that's it's busier you have to drive around the block tryna find street parking. INSIDE: The place itself is super cute. They have a small store where you can purchase skates and skate accessories, They have tables and lockers, Vending machines, photo booth, the skate rental area, bathrooms and floor is carpet(for safety) and of course the skating rink. FOOD: They also sell food and beverages. And have vending machines next to the rink. Water, Soda, pizza, slushys, popcorn, nachos and a few more things I can't think of right now( basically snacking food). Online they have their calendar with the "events". Each "event" is themed/based on a. Artist, music genre, or age range. Some nights are 18+ others are all ages. So I would recommend looking into the theme of the night before going.

Let me be very clear: this place does not want you here -- at least, not if you look, sound, or…read moreskate like you're from the culture that literally kept roller skating alive for the last 30 years. The wheel policy is where the bias gets embarrassing. Staff will stop you at the door -- or yank you off the floor mid-session -- over your wheels. Fiberglass wheels which is a stape in the SoCal Skate Community for "floor safety concern," while soft wheels on the rec crowd roll right past without a second glance. There is zero scientific or mechanical basis for this. It is not about the floor. What those wheels actually signal is the skater's community -- and that is exactly what's being policed here. The wheel thing is a well-known dog whistle in the community. Rinks have been using it for years as a clean, deniable way to turn away skaters they've already decided they don't want. "It's a policy" -- sure. A policy applied with laser focus to one demographic while everyone else gets waved through? That's not a policy. That's a pattern. You can feel the culture being managed out of the building in real time. Management has that particular talent for plausible deniability -- nothing they do is technically illegal, so they think that makes it acceptable. It doesn't. The urban SoCal skate community built its entire identity on rinks just like this one, and watching this place treat that community like a liability rather than the lifeblood it is? Deeply embarrassing for everyone involved. Two stars only because the floor itself is decent and the rental skates are clean. Everything else -- the wheel profiling, the coded hostility -- is a one-star experience dressed up in a rink uniform. There are other spots in SoCal that actually want your energy. Go find them.

We had a private instructor who coached, taught and helped the children skate. We had the ice skating rink in the back all to ourselves. There's 3 different rinks. All 3 different rinks played different types of music played on the speakers. As soon as we arrived we went straight to the left side booth where they had skates. The person was very nice and provided great customer service. Gave us the sizes we needed for skates. There are also shelves and places to store your shoes so you can skate confidently without having to worry about your shoes. It's so neat to watch others skating and doing their dance routines. We saw a group of skaters dancing and it was beautiful. You can tell their professionals.
