I contacted this company almost 2 1/2 months before I was moving my company to obtain stationary thinking this would be plenty of lead time. I compared prices with 2 other vendors and they gave me the best quote. I was requiring a $3,000 print job, so I guess this was not a priority for them for many reasons. I can't tell you how many broken promises I received from my sales representative. We set up appointments to meet, no phone call, no email to let me know he is running late - hours late. You would think the next time we set up appointment, he would honor it...Not at all. He told me he was running late on other appointments (that were more important than me - read between the lines) I let him know it was really jamming up my schedule when he doesn't keep his appointment, and I got more promises saying don't worry, they'll get the job done in time. I've requested paper samples, and it take such a long time to get back from them. When I review them, they are totally different, because he can't get what I chose. I've requested proofs, it takes weeks to get anything back. No return phone calls, except more emails saying they'll call me back tomorrow. Even though I call many, many times to request changes, either no response or more promises that someone will call me. You may be asking yourself why I put up with this much abuse? I thought the sales guy was a nice guy, and I thought we could be friends, so I told him his actions were very unprofessional, just to let him know my thoughts as his customer. In addition, their prices were the lowest as well, and I didn't want to start the whole process over with other vendors. Unfortunately, here I am with only a few days before my move, without any stationary. All I can say is, talk is cheap, and they sure dish a lot of it out! I've got a hold of this company through a friend. I've been searching for a company that wouldn't over-price me on custom business cards. To my surprise, they not only fixed my .PDF files but they also went above and beyond to present a high-quality UV coated business card. I did business with iColor a few years back. I needed a banner and business cards made for a small start up company I was working on. My project was small (Less than 1k) but I was treated with extreme professionalism. The price quoted to me was the lowest around. The banner was created on time and as desired. The business cards were also as delivered on time and looked great. For a print company with such a huge factory; iColor treated my small project with just as much importance as their bigger ones. WOW...how are they still in business? This company used to be called A1 Printing and Graphics and my dad used to deal with them, gave them a lot of business and many referrals. My dad would often complain but stuck with them because the original owner was a friend and overall a very nice guy. Their service wasn't great but bearable. Then my dad retired and sold all his businesses about three years ago. I opened up my business a few months ago and on my dad's advice went there. I reminded him of the great service he used to get sarcastically. But he insisted that we Muslims need to stick together. I figured I would give them a chance. BIG MISTAKE. The company had changed their name from A1 Printing and Graphics to iColor Printing & Mailing, but all the people working at the company were the same. The only difference was the new owner was the original owner's son. Both father and son now ran the place but the day to day decision rested with the son. I thought the original owner was bad, but his son, man this guy takes the cake for horrible service. He told me of all the government contracts they have from the Army, IRS, other military services that he couldn't disclose. How he had made the office more efficient with new machines and a new printing technique. He said I would have all my flyers, cards, folders, brochures and notepads within two weeks after I proof them all. I also gave him a painting from Afghanistan to use as my logo. This painting cost me $850 US dollars. Then it all started to downhill from there and he just vanished. The office staff would tell me that they are working as fast as they can to get me proofs, but that Omar (Owner's son) is not there and/or dealing with other clients at the moment (I am not that important now that we have your deposit). I got a call back two weeks later that my proofs were ready. It took about three more proof corrections of spelling mistakes, numbers missed or wrong, getting the proper color scheme (seriously how do you get black and white wrong?) I didn't want blue and white, nor gray and white, just plain Black and White. I had given them all this information the first time I met, did they not pay attention. There were three people from his office present during the meeting taking notes (Maybe they thought they were in school and doodling away) After countless phone calls and emails I decided enough of this and go down there. I was told that Omar was not available, but I saw him in his office close his light and the door. This guy was avoiding me and I was fuming. If I had not given them a deposit I would have told him to shove it, but with a big sigh I calmly got in my car and left. Well here is how I got everything after the first meeting him: Second week: Proofs Sixth week: Cards and Flyers Seven week: Folders Ninth week: Brochures Tenth week: Notepads They did quote me a great price (I guess you get what you pay for), better then a few other printing companies. Unfortunately it ONLY cost me my painting that they lost and my sanity which they tested. They still insist that I was given the painting back by one of their employees. I had to go down there each and every time to pick up my supplies and had to wait a minimum of 15 minutes for them to bring it out. During this time I did order temporary cards from another company and got them back within five days, ordered on Monday morning and picked up on Friday morning. Also during one of these pick-ups I ran into his younger brother Adel, who told me that do not take such small orders, but because I was a friend they were doing me a favor. I guess a $3500 order is small peas compared to the government orders. I just want to know who in the government in their right frame of mind is dealing with these guys. By the tenth week when I picked up my last order of notepads, I had gotten used to the crummy service and vowed never to deal with these id!*ts again. My dad kept apologizing on their behalf and even he finally agreed NEVER AGAIN. Please if you are looking for a printing company, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, you'd be better off flipping your yellow pages or using whoever GOOGLE brings up in their searches and landing on a random printer than these guys. read more
