    Shoddy repair with toilet paper?
    Melanie M.

There was no toilet paper in the stall and it had a two large roll capacity holder. This was at 1:25 PM yesterday. Which to me means that no one checked the bathrooms either the night before or first thing that morning, or who knows when the last time it was checked. I went back to the concession stand to let them know about this and they just stood there, staring at me. Our movie was supposed to start at 1:30. Finally at about 1:45 one of the few people in the room went to check on what was happening. (We were a patient bunch.) When the movie finally started a few minutes later, it lasted, barely past the beginning when the screen went blank, but we could still hear what was going on. This time we moved faster. The same woman that I told about the lack of toilet paper came into the back of the theater with a walkie-talkie. I went back just to be sure that they would restart the movie because we had missed a few minutes of the beginning. Her response was that it only been a couple of minutes! And she said it with the attitude like it shouldn't matter and what was my problem. Not great customer service! At that point, she was my problem, But not enough to fight with her about it. We finally got to watch a movie and eat our popcorn. We had purchased the medium bag. When we got up to leave, we looked down and there was a huge puddle of butter under the popcorn sack. My daughter swears she did not put that much butter on the popcorn and thank goodness we had put a napkin down under it for some reason. I made the two guys that were cleaning the theater aware of the mess so it would be cleaned up for the next person. As I was waiting for my daughter outside of the bathrooms, one of the young men came and told me that they were well aware of the faulty, low quality, popcorn bags, and they have had to clean up huge messes on the armrests and chairs from the bags. All in all, I have to say, I am not impressed with your business and have no intention of returning, but I hope this inspires you and your team to try better for future customers.

I had heard that about this chain and decided to check it out. It is an interesting concept for a movie theater. First the theaters have recliners and what I like about this place over others that have recliners is that you can adjust the head rest which mad for more comfort as well. They also have movable trays at each seat and they are wide seats. They have moveable dividers that make you feel like you are in your own little world. The concessions is where things are interesting. When you buy drinks or popcorn you are given an empty cup or container. They a popcorn dispenser for you to fill the container and the drinks are near the theaters to fill the cup. The prices are slightly more than other theaters it is worth it if you can access refills. I thought it was a good experience and want to try it again and see how it goes.

I just discovered they finally opened this location. I remember the day I heard on the news ICON was taking over the old dollar theater on San Mateo. I thought man that would be cool. I've been to the Tramway location before and am familiar with the theater chain but because of how far of a commute it is for me, I found myself rarely going. It was nice to know there was one closer that I could go to. Walking up to the building it still reminded me of the old dollar theater. So many memories were had in that place. When I walked in it brought back all the memories. The way they laid out the building was nice. Very modern, and I think the lights I really liked design wise. I was a little hungry so I tried out the chili cheese fries. I'm not gonna lie. It was a little disappointing to see the portion size considering the price you pay. The theater was nice. The seats were recliner seats. My only complaint is the sound quality. At first the sound was great but midway through John Wick and it became muffled. I'm not sure if it was the speakers or the projector. It was very off putting and disappointing. Seemed like maybe they kept the old speakers from the dollar theater that might be going bad. I don't know. Honestly if it wasn't for the bad sound quality I would've given it 5 stars. ICON has always been a great entertainment value compared to its competitors. They offer unlimited refills regardless of the cup size, on soda, popcorn, butter, nacho cheese. The ticket price isn't half bad either. If we can get better sound quality it would be a superb theater!

Went to see a movie in theater 7 today. In the past, the sound was way too loud (few years ago, so…read moreI stopped), but today, the sound was perfect. Plenty loud but not hurting my ears. The particular theater I was in not only had recliner-type chairs, but there was a swivel tray to put your popcorn bucket on. Also, it was as if rows were removed, and there were absolutely no heads or tops of chairs in view in front of me as I viewed the screen - nice. I'd definitely go back now with the better sound level. I do think the seats feel slightly narrower for wider bottoms.

I will never go here again and I would recommend you go somewh else. My husband and I had…read morepurchased tickets online. We were told to go find our seats. We sat down and when a gal came around to take our order, I asked her to double check our seats. She said we were fine where we were. Some other people showed up and she THEN told us we needed to move down. My husband made the comment that their app wasn't working and she was super snotty and said "That's not our app!" I asked her why she had to have such an attitude (we had already moved.) She was snotty and sarcastic towards me VERY LOUDLY in front of the whole theater of people. My husband paid for our order and we left without seeing the show or having anything that we paid for. The manager did nothing to make things right for us. On top of that the little brat worker sarcastically and disrespectfully yelled at me as I was leaving the theater "Happy Fourth of July!!!" That was after I made the comment "My husband is a five war Vet. I can't believe your disrespect." I couldn't believe the unwarranted treatment we received. Go somewhere better!

AMC Classic 12 is located in South Valley, near the busy intersection of Rio Bravo and Coors…read more Depending on the time of day, the streets can get backed up and congested, usually the work scheduled times between 3pm and 6pm. So, if you're planning on seeing a movie around these time frames, then I'd say, come early. The parking lot is pretty large, so there shouldn't be an issue of finding a place. It's also surrounded by many department stores and restaurants, so finding something to eat nearby isn't an issue as well. The area is pretty safe, and the sheriff's office is one parking lot over, so I don't see any safety issues at all. Plus, they have their security guard outside, if needed. When you arrive at the movie theater, there are 2 order kiosks on opposite sides of the entrance if you want to quickly purchase your tickets or print your tickets, if you're in a hurry. I use their mobile app so it's quite nice and convenient. There is a guided, roped off area (stanchion) at the entrance, which makes getting in line more organized and the cashiers call who's next at the end of the line, if you're an AMC Stubs member, there is a separate line which makes getting to the front quicker and it's definitely worth the skipping ahead time. If you're in a super hurry and need to get to your theater room fast with some food, drinks or snacks, I'd recommend ordering your food/snacks on the app with your movie ticket, as they'll have it ready for you. Just have to read the fine print receipts on the already made food (squinting may be required). It beats standing in line, especially when a large family is in front of you and they aren't prepared on what they want and delays your turn by 5-15 mins. The food is good, the popcorn is fresh, and if you purchase the refillable bucket (30 bucks), you can refill your popcorn for 6 bucks each time, and a same-day free refill for AMC Stubs members (hold on to your receipt). Sodas and frozen Icees are also refillable, which is nice, and there are hundreds of flavor choices/combinations of flavored sodas. Vanilla Sugar-free Barq's Cream Soda is my favorite. Word of advice, the theater rooms marquees do not tell you what's showing in each room (aside from the IMAX room poster), so keep your ticket in hand so you know which room is yours. Seats are first come, first serve, so get there early if you want the perfect spot. The only room that has reserved seating is the IMAX room, and it's the best price in the area - compared to other theaters (normally 10 bucks cheaper) and the picture and sound quality is amazing. I've seen the latest Dune part 2 (7 times so far in this IMAX room). The staff is usually friendly. They are constantly cleaning and refilling their booths and stations. Sometimes, the soda fountain is down, but luckily, there are 6 stations, so finding a drink shouldn't be an issue, plus you can always ask at the counter if you need help. The movie trailers are about 15 to 20 mins long, so if you're running late, just keep that in mind. Unless this is my 7th time for the same movie, I take my time to get snacks and drinks. But if not, then I come early, so I am ready for the entrance line, the snack line, and the drink line. This should be a place to relax and immerse yourself into film and sound, and not a stressful environment, so keep it simple and enjoy cinema.
