I'm from the south shore in Massachusetts so we drive about an hour to get to Providence. We were stuck in traffic one night and it was one of the nights where ladies were free till 11. We arrived there two minutes after 11 but spoke to one of the owners of Colosseum and he was very nice about it and let us in. *Just make sure you bring enough for the cover charge just in case you arrive late. Another night my friends and I were walking to get in line and one of the staff members at Colosseum pulled us aside and let us into the VIP 'No Wait' line which was incredibly nice. The only downside is the amount of older guys in there.. There have been many occasions where I've been hit on by guys that look old enough to be my dad. And sometimes there are even older guys that look like someone's grandfather. Ladies, just be prepared to have your ass slapped several times, rubbed up against, etc. but it wouldn't be a club if those things didn't happen! Overall it's a fun place to let loose and have fun. Colosseum is the only club in Rhode Island that my friends and I go to!

We decided to stay and pay, just because we had already parked and was a hassle to find another place (now i wish we left!) The manager saw us and said something but was too loud to hear him, he walked away too quickly for me to mention that we were made to pay at door when he said it would be free! I wasn't drinking, just my husband and we decided to order a hookah. This was separate from bar tab, a guy brought it and told us was $50 (i should of asked first, because that's more expensive than any other place i know). I gave him my card and he came back with recite. Today i looked at my online card statement and have several transactions that i DIDN'T Make! Only explanation is that they STOLE MY CREDIT CARD INFO! I just canceled the card and hopefully can dispute them with the company! Its a hassle since its the only credit card i have, im super cautious on how i use it! All staffs and musicians got there early and we took time to prepare the show for excellence. Great people are working there with warmth and professionalism in very relaxed way so that no matter what happens show is very successful and happy through my experience here. I enjoy coming here from Boston area but parking can be tough so everyone come here, get early enough for good parking spot. Great musical experience !

The theatre opened in 1915 as a vaudeville theatre and later became a cinema and concert venue. I have been to the Strand several times for concerts and live shows. It's a small venue with a busy calendar and very expensive concessions. It used to be called Lupo's until 2017 when it was renamed the Strand. The few times I've been, the shows have not started on time and they are not very good telling you what the delay is about....nevertheless, it's a place for live music for young and old to get entertained.

For the drinks, it was just house vodka mixed with one other beverage. I think it could have been a little more diverse and offered different cocktails. I just ordered vodka and pineapple. There wasn't much vodka in them, but a whole bunch of ice and served in small plastic cups. As for my appetizer, I ordered the fried sweet Asian chili cauliflower which was actually amazing and for only $5 which was a steal.
