A total rip off of us and the insurance company. Then one of their contractors stole a ring and they did nothing about it.

I really loved working with Icon Restoration (Glenn, Crystal, Scott, and Dave). I had them restore my kitchen for some insurance work and they did an amazing job. Their team was professional, treated me and my home with respect. The only thing I would advise, is when you do work with them, make sure that you have the patience to work with different sub contractors coming into your home at different times during the day. The assigned (Icon) project manager will advise you ahead of time who is coming, but they may not know the exact time though, so make sure to work the timing out with the project manager. read more

Writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents who had a minor pipe burst in their house causing a leak from the second floor to the first floor ceiling and damaged the ceiling drywall. They contacted ICON at the recommendation of their insurance company. The estimator came out and wrote out the estimate for the mitigation and repair. We told them right then we wanted all the work done, whatever the estimate is. They came out with the dryers/fans to dry out the floor/ceiling fairly quickly. After they removed the dryers/fans, that's when this review starts to go sour. For weeks they were getting the runaround about when the drywall work would commence. First they were told it'd be a week and it'd be a two day job. A couple weeks go by, nothing. Follow up calls were made, still nothing. After 5 weeks, I called myself and tried to figure out what was going on because at that point, the insurance company already paid out the claim and sent my parents the check to get the work done. I had called in the morning and was told they were waiting on "work order approval", I asked that they send me whatever needs to be signed to get the ball rolling. I was told I had to speak with the estimator so I left a voicemail and sent an email. Didn't get a response so I called back and spoke with the manager who said the same thing, they're waiting for "work order approval" and he needed to speak with the estimator to get "his side of the story". Finally I get a call back 10 minutes later from the original estimator who told me that he was told to say they were two months out on jobs and wouldn't be scheduling the work and we'd have to find someone else to do the work. I asked what he meant because they already done with mitigation work and sent the estimate to the insurance company who paid it out. That means that they're supposed to do the job... He said the company told him not to schedule anymore jobs and he didn't have any referrals for me on who could do the job. So fair warning before you go to ICON, don't bother wasting your time with them because they'll do the estimate and tell your insurance they'll do the job, but fail to actually follow through. Really disappointing that this company felt bold enough to waste our time, lock us into an estimate with insurance on a job they had no intention of doing and leave us stranded to find someone new to take over - especially when there's no guarantee they'll do the work at the estimate approved by insurance. read more

I would not recommend doing business with Icon Restoration & Construction. Their employees have little respect for their customers and are incredibly immature, specifically Erik Misner and Bryan Coral. My insurance chose Icon R&C to repair damage to my roof after a big storm. Bryan performed the initial inspection and provided an estimate to fix the roof. I called the office and was sent to Erik Misner's voicemail, which was no big deal to me. After not receiving a call back I called again the next day. The person that answered said "I see Erik is at his desk, I'll transfer you to him right now.", and did so. However I was sent to voicemail again. After a few minutes I got a call from Bryan mentioning that I should have been calling him directly but stated that Icon would actually refuse my roofing job, as they wouldn't be able to warranty the work. He also mentioned that my insurance had told him they would not pay for the full job and would only cover this small repair. (Later, when I reached out to my insurance company, they stated Icon R&C never even submitted a request for the full job). We ended the call amicably, but then I started receiving text messages from Bryan (mistakenly sent to me instead of Erik). Bryan stated that I wouldn't be bothering Erik anymore, with a gif from the Godfather, implying that he "got rid me". Within a few minutes, Bryan called back trying to apologize, but the damage was already done. Now, not only do I have to start over with another contractor, but my roof still has holes in it from the storm. Icon R&C wasted my time, my insurance's time, and their own time providing an estimate but refusing to do the work later, and lying about the scope of work covered by insurance. read more

Now that the dust has settled over at my house I would like to take the time to review this company. If I could give a minus I would. We had a terrible flood at the beginning of September. This flood destroyed our entire basement we lost it all. Furniture that was still being paid all the toys from my young children. I called ICON out help with restoration. I told the guy I was working with that I was not sure if the insurance would cover it and asked how much it would cost. We had not lived in our house long and money was extremely tight. He assured me the insurance company would cover and not to worry. A couple days went by and I again expressed my concern about insurance coverage but allowed them to do the work because the company said they worked with insurance companies all the time and our basement would be fully covered. So they began restoration. On day 3 I received word from my insurance company that my basement would not be covered by insurance. When I called to let them know I would be a self pay customer now and asked again what the cost would be they LEFT! I mean literally packed up all the fans, tools, 3 trucks and left. Not only did they leave but they left out of my very large basement window when the workers heard me arguing, beginning the company not to leave and to finish the job. Only one woman came upstairs to inform me they were told by the boss that they had to leave mid job and she was very sorry. This company is a scam that is only out for insurance money. They will leave you when you are at your lowest. I called and all other companies were booked solid so it so hard to get another company to come out. ICON should be ashamed at how they run their business and treat people. As spring time is approaching please beware of this company. read more

I just experienced an awful experience with Icon Restoration. On July 28, 2023 an employee was sent to my home to put a tarp on my roof which would lead to a roof replacement. The young man came to my door very agitated and rude he was instructed to the area where the tarp was to be installed, but instead he took off and stated he had to go. Later upon following up to find out what happened he informed his employer that I pulled a gun on him. What an awful lie to tell just to get out of work to make things worse his employer is standing behind his fabrications. Do not trust this company they have lazy workers and I am glad they will get just what they deserve a loss of business until they are out of business. I am also forwarding my issues to the BBB and their corporate office, I also have video of the entire encounter. They refuse to follow up and discipline this employee. When drying out some water damage they scratched up our newly refinished hardwood floors.

They did an insurance claim for $20,000. They don't stand behind their work. Been trying for two years to get the problems resolved and they don't return your messages. They also tell you have a five year warranty and when they give it to you it is for three years. Looking into hiring an attorney to get this resolved. read more

Great communication, prompt arrival as scheduled, and the representative was very knowledgeable and helpful. They follow CoVid safety measures and wear masks, also respected my home and wore shoe covers. I did have to be a little patient as they were a few weeks out for scheduled home repairs, but their quality of work and professionalism were worth the wait. read more

My roof was damaged during a recent wind storm. Icon was onsite within a couple hours of contacting them. They had my roof tarped and water tight before I knew it. They then went ahead and wrote a estimate for the replacement, helped me navigate the insurance procedure. Once my estimate was approved they had project manager reach out and meet to explain the process moving forward. After selections were made, a crew was on my roof with 3 weeks( summer time and busy season)and had the work done in two days. The 3rd day the crew leader along with the project manager were back at my home walking the perimeter of my home looking for any debris that may have been missed. All in all, I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. read more

This company has very poor service and they are totally unprofessional. After my initial contact, their salesman Glenn came out right away for an inspection and estimate. However, I never received the estimate, but I later found out that it was sent to my insurance company. After waiting several weeks for the estimate, I called the company to see what was going on. Glenn then informed me that I would have the estimate within the next day. After waiting another week, I reached out again and was informed that this was not company policy and they would have Glenn contact me. Several days later, I received an email from Glenn that included a blank contract for me to sign (no start date, cost, or details of what would be done). After I called to make a complaint, I was referred to a supervisor who identified himself as Steve. I advised Steve that I wanted to file a formal complaint against Glenn, and I wanted my services to begin A.S.A.P. . A week after filing my complaint I received another email from Glenn stating that they would not be doing my job because of scheduling problems. This was approximately seven weeks after he first came to my home for the inspection and estimate. Please save yourself time & a headache, find a company that has some professionalism. read more

Awful communication. If you have a small job (under $10k) the main response is, "I'll get back to you, we are very busy" We received the joint check from the insurance co May 31, 2018 and as of Sept 21, 208, nothing has been done and still waiting on a flooring quote. We were unable to leave any messages because the phone mailbox was full. Ended up doing the work ourselves. Terrible experience. read more
