We were scrambling to find a photographer for our infant son. Tricia was always someone on my radar, but her location out in Geneva (we live in Chicago) always seemed prohibitive for us. As it turned out, other things fell through and I immediately messaged Tricia's studio for a session. And it was fantastic. My husband even agrees whole-heartedly - we will be heading out to Geneva for our photos from now on. Tricia's style is beautiful, she is great with babies and children, the entire process is seamless, and I love that she encourages you to print and display your photos. Our little newborn Ella was 9 days old when I realized how important it was to photograph her in all the newborn goodness. I was always pretty judgemental about those "baby in a basket" sessions. You don't really get how unique that time in life is until you hold your own little child in your hands. I discovered you've got to photograph newborns within 14 days of their birth, otherwise it gets difficult for them to stay sleepy and stationary for a photo session. I had a minor meltdown trying to reach an incredible, well-known newborn photographer from Wisconsin. They did get a hold of me, but said I needed to come to Wisconsin with the baby for the session because of their busy schedule. They also recommended Patricia Anderson here in Chicago. I was elated to hear back from Patricia that evening. Patricia had a full schedule, but after **slightly** begging her, she fit me into her weekend schedule and we got Ella scheduled for a session at 11 days young. **AH** thank you thank you! Patricia is so easy to work with. She handles everything once you get to the studio. She took baby Ella and all we had to do was watch in amazement as the 1 hour mini session unfolded. Turn around was quick - we were able to see the photographs the same week. Man, did she deliver! And her print products are so fitting to her brand - you've got to get these photographs up on your wall! Seriously - it's the only way to go with artistic photographs that Patricia creates for you. My husband and I decided 4 months before our wedding to add video vendor services as most friends said it was their biggest regret to not have. WCP offers both photo and video packages but also different price points if you hire Sam/Katie or a Junior Associate. We loved that there was a value option for us to include video. Jamie was our Junior Associate. He came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator and I see why! His bubbly personality was a welcome addition day of to keep the energy high and make the documented moments feeling authentic and intentional. He went above and beyond with capturing drone footage and every wedding moment start to finish. After our big day, Sam edited our video to deliver a 2 minute teaser, 8 minute video capture, and provided us all raw footage. On top of this, they give couples the option to select songs. Our video was ready in about 6 weeks which was exactly in the middle of the proposed delivery timeline discussed. All email outreaches were responses to within 24 hours. They had the best prices, and I appreciated that they didn't require the full payment till 2 weeks after the wedding. She was AMAZING. Her work was beautiful. So amazing that my sister in law is special requesting her for her own wedding next year. (Still have fingers crossed!) We received our photos 14 days after the wedding, and we were able to download all of them to our computer! Highly suggest this company! Side note. She recently opened her studio here in Batavia and had some spring portraits with a beautiful setup in studio so my friend and I brought our kids here (my friend has used her before). The studio has GORGEOUS lighting; my appointment was at 10 on an early spring day and there was a beautiful glow throughout. She has different areas to use for different shoots, as well as variety of furniture and props. Olena was very welcoming and pleasant to work with. I would use her again. Parking is available either on the street (along the bridge) or in the parking lot behind the building. There are signs that are written as though you would need a permit to park here but I was told that just means it's for the businesses in the building. Parking in front will get you on the level of the studio, and if you park in the lot you'll need to take the stairs up or walk around to the front of the building.
