I've had this lingering kink in my left shoulder blade that was causing strain into my neck and the back of my head. That "injury" is over a year old. It worsened about six weeks ago. I had received so many massages in my life, and none have ever made a difference in my mobility or recovery, so I didn't even consider getting a massage. I went to my Airrosti Doctor because I have always received good results from their treatments. After three visits with some progress, the doctor recommended I see a dry needling specialist. I scheduled my appointment and had dry needling session. The specialist focused on my left shoulder blade, asking me to point out where I felt pain. The session was routine I felt. I was told I wouldn't see any immediate changes but that I would after 72 hours. I refrained from any physical activity to allow for a full recovery. 72 hours later, my mobility was severely limited. I couldn't look down, but being stubborn decided to go to noon jiujitsu class anyway. I have a pretty good pain tolerance, and thought I could power through and maybe regain some mobility through activity. The warmups were painful, and I could barely get through the drills. I couldn't tuck my chin down. Elizabeth was able to schedule me in that afternoon. Prior to the session, she asked me questions about what I was feeling. Elizabeth took the time to fully assess my condition. She focused on the right side of my body, which I thought was odd since my left side was what was hurting. I didn't question it, I was in so much pain that I was willing to try anything. Immediately post massage, my mobility had improved. The pain was still there, but significantly lower and much tolerable. The next day I felt some pain but the real results appeared 48 hours later. I felt AMAZING. I was in disbelief I could feel THAT good THAT quickly. My mobility had returned and I was pain-free. I expected some progress, but not such drastic positive effects. I have received many massages before, but none like Elizabeth's. She treated me with care and was an absolute professional. Elizabeth will also send wellness text messages to check on your progress. Their location is situation at a small strip mall with lot parking and is easy to find. I walked in and was and greeted by a young male employee who was cheerful and explained the services and prices. I told him I wanted a cryo session and he escorted me to a room where I changed before preparing to enter the chamber. The chamber used here is not fully enclosed, it terminates at the neck area so your head is not exposed to the cold. It is powered by liquid nitrogen, the tanks of which are visible in the room. After entering the chamber, the cold air began flowing in and I withstood the onslaught of cold for two minutes. Wow! How invigorating it was upon exiting, I felt recharged and rejuvenated! The cost of one session was $35.00, which is quite reasonable in my opinion given the health benefits associated with this alternative therapy.
