Sometimes they take a few hours to go through your stuff depending on volume of people. You can leave or shop around while you wait. Shopping here is interesting. It really illustrates how sizes can differ between brands because there's stuff in large that fit a small person, and vice versa. The store itself is usually organized best they can. A few time though, I did want to purchase something and it had tears or rips in them. But they were being sold at the same or higher price than other pieces of similar style. While I understand the idea is that these are pre-owned, I think they need to maybe review the seams a lot closer before hanging up for sale. It's a bit disappointing to think you found something great at a good value, only to realize it's damaged and you can't really justify getting it.

I came across this store and found out they have multiple locations around GTA. So I went to this location, they had a lot of second hand items available. They take brand name items. They don't just take clothes, they also take hand bags, wallets and accessories. You would simply just need to tell them you're looking to sell. You will need to provide your phone number and a piece of photo I.D. They will send you a text once they have gone through the items. Just be mindful that they don't take everything. They can be very picky too. Sometimes I would bring in a bag of clothes and leave with not being able to sell any of it. It really depends on what they need as they had explained to me before they don't want to over stock on stuff they already have or they don't need for the season. So far, I've sold to them 5-6 times and got back about $30-$40 total. It's certainly not a lot of money but to me it's still something. Before I donate the items, I might as well bring them here and give it a shot to see if I could get back a few dollars here and there.

It's small but has so many great finds. The owner was so incredibly nice and helpful and made the experience that much more enjoyable. *** PLEASE READ IN FULL - WARNING TO CONSIGNORS ***…read more If you are considering consigning items, just be mindful to exercise due diligence, especially with Eva, the owner. I do not want others to experience what happened to me. Back in January 2016, I brought in a Furla bag, some Coach bags, a lot of pairs of designer jeans (many were brand new with tags), a new pair of Brian Atwood boots and a gorgeous, new Laundry by Shelli Segal black leather motorcycle jacket that was buttery soft. The bags sold quickly but the other items lingered around for a while. Eva told me just to keep everything there because they were high-end items and would eventually sell. Some of the jeans were listed on average $85.00 a pair but, contrary to the agreement, my cut ended up only being about $12.00 a pair. When I inquired, I was told that the jeans in question were put on clearance. Regardless, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and continued to leave my items there. In early October, I emailed Eva to advise that I no longer wanted my boots and leather jacket available for sale; however, there was no response. Three days later, I received notification that she sold my boots for $18.00. Again, I gave her the benefit of the doubt but decided to send her another email requesting again that she refrain from selling my leather jacket - no answer. Then I called and Eva's daughter answered but could not get me off the phone fast enough as she claimed the store was so busy. I told her I was on my way to pick up my leather jacket but she reluctantly agreed, saying that it normally takes 48 hour for her to pull it. Anyway, my two friends and I went straight over and we noticed Eva's daughter could not make eye contact with me. Instead, she went down to the basement for about three minutes and then advised that, because the jacket had been there since January, they donated it to charity and, apparently, that was part of the "agreement." I was upset but I figured if I did not thoroughly read the agreement then I was obviously at fault. My friends and I continued to look around the store and noticed almost all my jeans were still upstairs. When we went to the basement, we noticed a few more pairs and then became suspicious. Why would my leather jacket be donated to charity and not the jeans? I called Eva a few days later expressing my concerns. She too could not get me off the phone fast enough. Later that night, she called me back to advise that the jacket was stolen and, because she (not me) was at a loss, would only reimburse me $33.00; albeit, the jacket was listed for $298.00. She said she put the jacket down in the basement in clearance for 75% off and still took a cut for my item being stolen. In addition, I have never seen any new with tags leather jackets down in the basement! A few days later, I was notified that I only got $4.00 for a pair of my brand new with tags 7 for All Mankind jeans. I immediately called to have the account closed and arranged to pick up my stuff. When I arrived, one of the sales women (who was quite genuine) could not find it. I called Eva a few days later and, rather than take responsibility for everything that went wrong, she put blame on her staff. Nice. What upsets me the most is that I referred friends to Eva and initially spoke very highly of her. The fact that she chose greed over maintaining a good relationship is disgusting. The bottom line is that although I have no proof that she was involved in the theft of my jacket and was selling items under the guise of them being discounted to rock-bottom prices, isn't the writing on the wall? I would not be surprised if her store was eventually featured on Pat Foran's segment on CTV News.

They have absolutely earned a perfect five-star rating from me. The selection and value are simply unmatched. I've found so many high-quality items--from brand-new clothing with tags still attached to vintage housewares and hard-to-find books--all at unbelievable prices. The quality of the merchandise is excellent, and the daily deals and color tag sales make it even better. Beyond the deals, the store is surprisingly well-organized. Unlike some other thrift shops, the aisles are always clean, and the clothing racks are sorted efficiently by size and color. This makes the "treasure hunt" exciting without being overwhelming. The inventory changes constantly, so there is always something new and exciting to find! The staff, from the folks stocking the shelves to the cashiers, are always friendly and efficient, even during busy periods. They handle the high volume of customers quickly and kindly. If you are looking for a fantastic deal, a unique find, or just love sustainable shopping, you must visit Value Village. Highly recommended for the ultimate thrift shopping adventure!

Their coupon is usually 20% off of a purchase of $50 so I don't find much use for it. They have a good selection of home and clothing, but the store tends to be in a bit of disarray. I hate that you still can't use the change rooms because you can only do exchanges here and within 14 days. So I'll usually wear leggings and a tank top with a sweater if I know I'm going to want to check out the clothing. That way, I can kinda just try it on in the store. It's super uncomfortable though because there's just a bunch of people staring at you sometimes. The clothes are wicked packed into the racks too and I've found plenty of pieces with holes/ tears. Those should be sent for fabric recycling, not sold to people for the same amount as a piece that isn't wrecked. The pricing has gone up at Value Village. It's no longer easy to find a good thrifted item. There's times where I've found items that cost MORE here than at regular... Sometimes, the original price tag is actually still attached, and I'm not just referring to dollarama items. It's just become a really dishonest place. Still, it's thrifting, so you do need to put time into it if you want to hopefully find a treasure. Staff here are hit and miss. Some of them are nice and helpful, and some are just really rude. I can't blame the miserable ones though. People need to stop throwing unwanted items all over the store. It contributes to the messy store and it's really disrespectful to the staff that have to clean it up. The floor also seems eternally dusty. There's so many dust bunnies, if I do find a good piece of clothing, I'm immediately terrified of letting it touch the floor. The number of times I've swiped the floor on accident and picked up what looks like months of dust was horrifying. All in all.... it's what you expect at Value Village.

The lady working there was very nice, she let us look on our own and was always there to help you clip up your dress if you needed to which is especially nice since some boutiques have the workers breathing down your neck. The place is really clean, you have to leave your shoes at the door and there's a little basket of slippers underneath one of the chairs for you to use. The dresses were organized by colours and length (long and short) and she told us not to worry too much about colour because these dresses will come in other colours if you order it. Now the dresses itself in my opinion are okay. The styles were nice and ranged around 500$ which is standard for those types of dresses and especially the brands. I dont want to say that they were outdated cause they're not really but if you're looking for instagram pinterest glimmering bodycons or a great elie saab rose ball gown this isnt it I attached some photos of dresses i tried on for fun
