Comerica bank is a breath of fresh air. Ryan Umbenhaur is the branch manager of Comerica in Carmel Mountain, and he has really over-delivered on service ever since I switched. I am highly impressed with his willingness to reach out and engage as well as his responsiveness to any issues I may have. We established a home equity line of credit with Comerica to finance our home Solar purchase, and the process was a breeze compared to what I've experienced in the past. They found issues with our application and handled them internally, and presented reasonable solutions to us so that we could make progress without delay. We got a really awesome rate, and of all the banks that I looked into (including the common names), Comerica was not only the most competitive, but they had a great promotion that made it a no-brainer. We also grabbed a free checking account with them and will be eventually swapping over from the big bank to Comerica for our company's business checking & business line of credit. Bottom line is, if you're looking for great service, and you're looking to avoid those pointless fees, you should switch to Comerica bank!

The tellers are helpful and recognize you when you walk in and remember you when you call. Plus they gave me a sweet interest rate on an auto loan! There are some inconveniences however: Limited banking hours (no evening or weekends), no comprehensive 24-hour telephone help, free ATM locations are limited (but still available through San Diego) and, worst of all, debit card transactions at stores cost $.50 each.

They blamed it on my husbands DL # from when he was 16 and lived in another state. This other guy never lived in THAT state. Don't trust Geico with your Insurance needs . They are HORRIBLE! Recently noticed my insurance card stated my coverage expired 10/21/2022, no big deal as my premium…read moreis auto deducted from my checking account. So I thought. I called Geico, spoke to 9 different people. Initial representative said there was an exclusion statement I needed to sign. No problem but why wasn't it either emailed or mailed? The Geico rep stated it was, I am certain it wasn't, why wouldn't I sign and get it back??? I explained that the policy expired 10/21 and its 10/24 clearly this is a mix-up as Geico is able to view my record and see that I have never let my insurance lapse. The rep then contacts the underwriter who says no problem I'll email the form send it back and there will be no lapse of coverage. I waited an hour no email. Called Geico again and went through the entire process again to be told the same exact thing. Another hour nothing. Third call, I get transferred to an underwriter Connie who states because the policy was cancelled that I am not able to sign the form now and I would have to apply for a new policy. Really? Does this sound right? Any insurance people out there that can chime in?
