Why is it that Walmart outside of the GTA is so wonderful!…read more Brightly lit, with high ceilings, even the produce I want to buy here. You'd never have me say that in the Walmarts in the city. It's obviously the new model, and since it's opening, I've seen a few being transformed in the city. The last time I was here was during Christmas. I bought all my supplies for my party, and they had really good sales and exactly what I needed. I was mostly in the grocery section, and didn't need to explore the others. I also got some great Christmas crackers (Monopoly Deal) 6 for $5. Each one came with a key chain and a mini monopoly deal! Score. Walmart in general, has cheaper stuff, but in my opinion, some times it's similar to No Frills, or a Dollarstore (next door) could be even cheaper. Just keep an eye out for the flyer. This place is HUGE.

I went in today to have a watch battery replaced and some repairs done on a ring. First I was told…read morethat the repair man wasn't in and I would have to wait until... maybe the end of the day or tomorrow or the day after (it was already 3:15pm). So then I asked about the repairs to the ring. I was referred to someone else, who told me that it would take at least 15 business days, but if I was willing to pay extra, I could have it in 3 days. Since this was really quite a simple repair, I was somewhat put out. I said that I was surprised it should take so long, and that I had never before walked into a jewelers that couldn't replace a watch battery on the spot. The girl told me that was because the fellow who would usually do this was upstairs right now doing all those 3-day repairs (the same fellow, I presume, that was supposedly not there at all.) While I was speaking to her, another customer came in asking for a pocket watch that he had brought in for repairs over a month and a half earlier. He said no one had called and he wanted to know what was going on with his watch. I decided that I would take my business elsewhere.

Great prices / worst service Went in to find a new pair of…read morerunning shoes only to receive little to no assistance from the staff who clearly knew nothing about the different kinds of running shoes and struggled to find 2 matching shoes of the same size. Its clear that whoever owns this place only hires women as I no males associates were seen in sight, just teeny bop girls who check cell phones every time they visit the back of the store. Not hating just pointing out the obvious of bad management.... Eventually I got what I was looking for and got a good price but at also the cost of a little bit of my sanity, not impressed but a little disappointed.
