    Don't hire Idacrest Landscape to do your yards!! We paid them a down payment to pull a tree and redo our front yard. They came out Friday 5/5/23 at 9:20 am. They hooked their truck and chain to our tree and yanked it out. Then left. No contact to us nothing. At 3pm my husband called to see what was up. They couldn't come till 8:30 Saturday morning. My husband said fine. Saturday no show. We called Jim ( the owner) at 11:30am to see what was up. He said he would call back as he didn't have the dump trailer. Jim text back 1:12pm to let us know he wouldn't be out until Sunday at 8:30am. My husband said okay. Sunday no show. My husband text at 10:30 to see what was up. We then decided to cancel them. They are now keeping $120 for labor. He has a million excuses as to why the job wasn't done with no apologies. They are untrustworthy and unreliable. To Jim's reponse- No the one star review was already a given when your guys came on Friday and pulled down our tree. Which we received no notice or communication as to when you would be showing up just "sometime in the next two weeks." If you click on the ring pictures they actually show times. The first photo was taken at 9:24am and the tree is still up. The second photo was taken at 9:37am and they were gone. So where he is getting his guys working for 45 mins I'm not sure. As stated before he then didn't call us to say that anything was wrong. Just packed up and left. We knew it was going to rain at 7am when leaving the house so why pull down the tree?? Also since the tree sat for 2 1/2 days we went to tractor supply, a mile down the road and bought a chain saw for $200. Why wasn't this an option? They even had cheaper chain saws that may have been cheaper then renting one. I also am not sure why you would go to a job knowing you didn't have the right equipment (a chainsaw) before you started a job. That's like going in for a test without a pencil. There in fact was a call Friday at 3pm from my husband to Jim wondering what was going on. Please see pictures. I have also included the texts from Jim and my husband. In phone logs you can see Jim did not contact my husband on Sunday, my husband in fact contacted Jim. As you can see Jim makes excuses as to why they were not there so what does he mean he didn't say they would be out? Sounds like inaccurate information from his reponse. As you can see he also promised work on Sunday and again no communication as to what was going on. I find it funny that they are closed on the weekend but finds it acceptable to pull down and tree and just leave it there. If this was your house would a tree pulled down onto the sidewalk for 72 hours be acceptable? I'm guessing majority of people would find this to be highly unacceptable and unprofessional. Yes, I think he should have refunded 100%. It would have been different had we hounded him to come out till he came. Instead he choose to come out on a Friday without the right equipment when it clearly was going to  rain and started a job that he could not complete.

    Jim was very nice and did a really good job. I highly recommend this business. He went above and beyond and had my yard looking really good.

But the first thing I needed done was a sprinkler repair. What I really noticed right away was the professional communication and punctuality of this company. They use systems to help them keep track of things and communicate with you and when they say they're going to be there, they show up. Now that lawn mowing season has started it just took a few minutes to go over my preferences for the service with them, including edging and cleanup, and off they went. Josiel was quick to let me know that after the first mowing, there would be individuals who did not have English as a first language. I could really care less about that. What I care about is the job that they do. So far, I have been exceptionally satisfied and I assume that's going to continue. By the way, the reason I started this quest was I was using a different company last summer, and with all the ICE raids that went on, the non English speaking people left the company. They were replaced by a bunch of Americans that for the life of them they could not mow a straight line or edge a straight line. I would have tall grass in between the cut rows that I would have to go out and cut after the fact. Now this may sound racist but I do think that the Hispanic workers that I have had doing work on my property have done far better work than anyone else that I've hired. I saw a recent rant on here on Yelp, reviewing this company, and the individual had very little to say about the work that was done other than they didn't speak English. Like I said, I could care less what language they speak if they do a great job. I strongly encourage you to consider this company for your lawn care and Landscaping needs.

    DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with Art of the Earth Landscaping. After recently purchasing a cabin in Donnelly, we hired this company to improve our curb appeal by planting trees and shrubs at the front of the property. All three trees they planted failed to survive the winter, even though it has been less than a year since installation. We immediately contacted the company to request replacement and reminded them that we had paid extra for a warranty. After extensive back‑and‑forth communication, they ultimately refused to honor the warranty and informed us we would need to replace the trees at our own expense. We consulted with another local nursery to understand what may have gone wrong. Once we shared the types of trees that had been planted, they advised us that those species are not suitable for the local climate and should never have been recommended in the first place. This experience reflects poor business practices, a failure to uphold contractual obligations, and a lack of accountability for their work. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the agreed‑upon warranty was not honored. We are now left paying out of pocket to correct a mistake that should never have happened. Given that there are many landscaping companies in the valley, this is one we would strongly recommend overlooking.

After much back and forth, during which we had to provide our invoice (since they apparently have no records) they summarily denied any warranty coverage even though we have emails from the project .manager that we paid an additional fee for the warranty. Never did they apologize for the problem or offer ANY help, but treated us extremely poorly as customers. We do not recommend this company. A fancy website doesn't always guarantee a quality business. Beware.
