We had this done each year for the past 4 years without an issue. This time the lady at the counter said we notarize but dont fax. Something new???????????? Well this time a lady in one of the cubicles said she would notarize and said we dont send. I told her that we had the paperwork notarized and faxed 4 times before without any issue and if this was something new. She said oh you need it faxed, okay let me see the paperwork and Id. She said the paperwork did not need to be notarized, we told her we had issues in the past with the company this was the reason for the notary. The bank officer seem to be a little upset to do her job and walked off with the paperwork after she had notarized it. She returned 5 minutes later and stated the fax machine was broke and to go somewhere else to fax it. We called the hub Pocatello branch when we arrived home. The lady at the hub contacted the Nampa branch and found out the fax was down but went back on line after we left, what a coincidence. This bank was good 10 or more years ago when we joined but it sure going down hill.

I came in today to become a new member. I have belonged to credit unions for over 30 years and have always appreciated the service they provide. ICCU is about a half mile from my home, very convenient for me. I came in just after opening, around 9:05 am. It was not crowded but I was second in line. An employee came from a desk and took the person in front of me. I waited for about 30 seconds, then Zach came from behind his desk to help me. Zach was very nice, and very helpful. Coming from California, people in Idaho are nice in general. Zach was no exception. He explained everything to me, helped me to open checking and savings accounts, issued my debit card, download the app, and add an external link to my Orange County, CA, credit union. Just an overall pleasant and hassle-free experience. I'm looking forward to banking at ICCU Star.

One of the benefits are Monthly Bill Pay. You can schedule a payment date on your bills. On May 2nd I put in a request for our credit card payment that was due May 16th. It was to be paid May 12th. It was paid late on May 19th. After a few hours spent trying to rectify I was told a third party handles that - no one at the branch cares or would help. No one told us when we signed up a 3rd party handles this. On March 17th I paid another credit card bill. The money was taken out of my account but the company I paid through bill pay said they couldn't deposit as the check from the 3rd party wasn't readable yet it was taken from my account. On both of these I have to dispute , show proof by getting copies of the ACH, in order to reverse the $81 late charges,. Even worse is the time it is taking to gather information after being put on hold so many times as no one seems to really care at the branch. I asked to speak to a manager and was told it would take up to 72 hours to get a return call. I can only imagine they are so busy if they are operating through 3rd parties and have no control of their business.
