First of all, I would like to state, this is a working ranch as well as a private residence. She opens up her home and her property and her barn for such wonderful events. Every time I've been out here for a wedding the owners have said if there's anything we can do to make anything better please let us know and we'd be happy to do it. They always make sure the barn is cleaned up before an event and if there's anything I ever need in terms of something being moved or cleaned up they have always jumped on the spot to get it taken care of. Our events out there have always gone off without a hitch. They given us free reign to decorate, they always offer to have the animals in or out in case we want to pet them during the event or use them as photo props, which Has happened, And they also have an old tractor and an old truck that make beautiful photo props as well. They've moved tables and chairs upstairs to the event location as well as had them set up downstairs outside for an outdoor wedding. They are very very very flexible and always willing to make your day exactly the way you want it. If you're looking for a ranch location for a rustic wedding this is definitely a great option. However, please note that it is a working ranch so there will be dust, there will be hay, and there will be animals. But there is so much freedom in terms of making your day beautiful.

Kira was on top of drinks at the bar and taking care of us and everyone had a blast. I will say that scheduling this event was very difficult and challenging with the person who I had initial contact with. It would take days or even weeks to get a response, I never knew what was happening and was deeply concerned with how the event was going to turn out due to her lack of communication - but these 3 made up for it and our group had a blast. It is collection of small business owners with hispanic goods and foods. It is an amazing event that has a lot to offer everyone. Parking can be tricky but the park across the street is a decent place to park. Vendors can change their space weekly and there are new vendors every week. There is a DJ spinning La Chona and other classics and the vibe is very family friendly.

In addition to being a venue that people can rent for business or personal functions, it's also a little museum. They even have a bar. For the museum type, you can walk around and look at artwork on the walls upstairs and downstairs, bright, colorful murals showcasing some classic Mexican themes like loteria, La Virgen de Guadalupe, Selena, and a low rider couple. They also have a room that has some ornate Mexican sombreros, dolls, and more artwork. This would be a great place to take younger kids, or homeschoolers on a field trip, and of course, to rent space from to host a variety of events.

Kingdom Sunrise Acres has a booth here, and I can honestly tell when I go without their honey because my allergies start acting up. I also love browsing all the cute shops and vendor booths. They make the entire experience feel like more than just a farmers market--it's a fun little Tuesday-night outing! There's plenty to enjoy beyond the market, too. Kindred on the Creek has an awesome happy hour and the cutest outdoor seating right along the Greenbelt. I enjoyed their Viognier, with its delicate aromas of honeysuckle and pear, along with their happy-hour charcuterie board--the perfect pairing for relaxing outside! The live music and bands give the whole area such a fun, lively energy, and there are outdoor fountains for the kids to run through. I had no idea how many lights they put up, and hadn't seen their new ice skating rink either. The downtown is just brimming with holiday cheer, colorful lights, and ice skating, even music. I guess I didn't fully understand the sheer volume of Christmas lights they put up, but it's enough that you have to walk all the way around and across the river to see it all! It's incredible, and they have some really cool "features" that I wasn't expecting to see. Such fun! It was raining when we went, but the combination of the people, places, lights, excitement, and the magic of all almost made the rain delightful. :) The whole experience brought me so much joy. I've been so stressed lately with all the holiday "stuff" that needs to be done that I forgot what the season was about. My visit to Indian Creek Plaza really brought things into focus for me...not just because of the lights, but because the lights serve as a reminder of the joy, the people, love, and time together is what really makes the holidays so special. Go visit. Take a friend, or your family, or both. Make an evening of it. Grab some coffee or a slice of pizza together, and explore the lights, the creek, and just enjoy each other's company.

The 'leaning' barn has been replaced with a much newer and beautiful option and sets up a perfect backdrop for any occasion.
