I never leave bad reviews but I feel the need to after I was very disappointed due to my recent experience. I have been a patient for almost 3 years and gotten my braces here. I even gave them a second chance after they told me I had a copay when I never had a copay with my insurance and instead charged me for a tooth paste. This time I was told that my insurance did not cover fluoride when it always has. I called my insurance company and a nice representative was able to assist me and let me know that I did have fluoride covered. She then called the dental office and whoever answered the phone was rude to her and hung up after saying "okay fine" and then sent an assistant to give me the fluoride in its packaging for me to do myself. It caught me off guard because I thought they would apologize for the confusion and provide the service like they had done last time. (Again why I knew my insurance covered fluoride because I got my cleaning there 6 months ago and they told me it was covered and they applied the fluoride to my teeth.) I unfortunately cannot recommend going here due to its quality of costumer service and lack of professionalism. read more

Crystal, who was the front receptionist acted as if I was putting her out of the way by asking to confirm my insurance and proceeded to argue with me when I had my insurance on the phone telling me one thing, (which turned out to be correct when checking at another dentist office, that I gave my business to.) As someone who has avoided the dentist at all costs due to uneasiness from a bad experience elsewhere, I was forced to go due to a severe toothache. Absolute best decision possible! From Tiffany over the phone and handling billing, to Selena being the first one to see me, to Dr. Arsto, and Emily finishing my experience - everyone was comforting, helpful, and supportive. Oh, and nonjudgmental with my uneasiness of dentists! I even went to get a second opinion nearby due to price, and Ideal Dental was not only better priced, but a nicer atmosphere and newer equipment. Even with me telling them I wanted to get a second opinion, they were understanding, supportive, and reassured me if I needed them they were there. I quickly returned. Highly recommend! read more

This is by far the worst dental office I have ever been to. I called for a cleaning and filled out all their form before I got there. They called and asked me to come in earlier than my scheduled, which I did. Then after all the x rays and consult with their treatment plan that I said I would probably do at another dentist (because their price seemed very high.) Then all of a sudden they couldn't do my cleaning and I would have to rescheduled for a different day even thought I made the appt. for a cleaning they said they didn't guarantee same day cleanings for first visits. What B.S. if someone is scheduled for a cleaning and that's why they made the appointment they should be seen for it. also there treatment plan was way too high. only made the appt there because they were close. do not bother go somewhere else I believe it will be better and more beneficial for you. read more

Terrible experience!!!. Called at 8 when they opened to explain that I had a chipped tooth and was experiencing pain. Set an appointment time of 10:30, and then I promptly filled out al of my first time patient paper work. I explained that I would be on lunch break, and was suggested that I might need to tell my employer that I might need a long lunch, just in case they could Operate. I explained that that wouldn't work with my schedule and I would need to make a second appointment for any work needed. When I arrived I waited 45 minutes receiving one arbitrary "they be right with you" from the receptionist. She made sure to do so while in between calling other patients to canceling appointments because they over booked their Saturdays. I left without ever being seen and was late getting back to work. This experience coupled with other reviews shows that they are lacking in logistical skills, coordination, and communication in their work place. read more

Staff was pleasant and conversation is usually friendly. Most of the team communicates well and Dr. Taylor is awesome. After seeing reviews for several other Ideal Dental's I was a little reluctant. But this one had better review so I went there a couple of times. I have since decided to make this my dental home. I'm not sure why there are such bad reviews, I've been to Ideal Dental 3x now and have had great experiences every time. The Deer Park location in particular has an excellent front desk lady who is so sweet. I needed to get my wisdom teeth out and had a very limited time off work where I could do it and she called every location in the area to try to get me in. She didn't have to do all of that but she went out of her way to help. In addition, they've always been prompt and accommodating. My first appointment, the dentist and a hygienist even stayed after hours to finish a cavity remediation on me, since I couldn't take another day off work to come back. They could've sent me home and told me "sorry bout your bad luck" but they stayed after hours to help me out. Always great service and their office is beautiful to boot. read more

Went in for a usual cleaning for a 9:30 AM appt and sat in the room for over an hour before getting up and walking out at which that was the first time someone checked in with me. Couldn't have been a better way to waste my Saturday morning! read more

I avoided the dentist for years, gross, i know! . And when i finally decided to suck it up and get my dental health under control before it's too late, i literally just picked a dentist close to home, with a decent price point! From the second i stepped into the door, the front staff was friendly and kind, the dental assistant was just as personable and sweet as the others, and my dentist Dr.Nguyen was wonderful! He didn't upsell me, he didn't sugar coat my dental health, and he was amazingly gentle and thorough. My mouth hasn't felt this great in a while, and i absolutely plan to stick with this practice for life! read more

3 weeks ago I came into Ideal Dental of Deer Park because my crown on my front tooth was loose. I lost this tooth as a child and I had a permanent crown put on at the age of 18 so it was about time for it to be replaced anyway. I have fairly good dental insurance. I was told they would order me and new tooth and they replaced it with an ugly yellow front temporary tooth that I have had to wear for these three weeks. But I figured, most ppl don't have a crown on their front tooth and we're all wearing masks anyway I'll just deal with it. Not happy but ok. I come back for my scheduled appt. the dental assistant immediately starts trying removing the temp tooth, which made it loose. I told her I was nervous and they said they could numb it. She applies a numbing gel and gets the doctor. He comes in and administers the numbing shot which was very uncomfortable. Then he checks the new tooth. It looks porcelain white, like no ones teeth are this color at all. So I go from yellow tooth to perfect white! Wow. He asks the assistant about the color and I realized they have numbed me up for NOTHING. The assistant takes pics of my teeth WITH HER PHONE. Like how accurate is it going to be with a phone pic? Keep in mind I have already paid these people 750$ for this so idk what to do. He tells me he will call the lab right away and get a rush on my new tooth. Fast forward THREE MORE WEEKS LATER and I still do not have the new tooth. I have been dealing with a rep from the corporate office who could not tell me why this was not "rushed" as the doctor promised me. I have had pain in the temp tooth since it was made loose and I refuse to go back into this office because of how they hurt me and the disregard for me as a customer. they were also rough with me when doing my cleaning. just a horrible experience all around. I walked in on 1/16 to schedule my son's and myself an appointment as new patients. Shortly after I I realized my husband was unable to take him to his appointment due to work. I called and rescheduled. When they called to confirm his appointment I informed the young lady he would not be able to make it and that I would have to reschedule again. She asked if I would like to reschedule the appointment and I told her I would call back. She then said I had to reschedule to avoid being charged a fee. I was confused as I had no idea there would be a charge to reschedule. She then stated it was in the new patient paperwork which I never received. We ended the call without rescheduling. A few days later once I had taken a look at my calendar I decided to call them back to reschedule. The lady placed me on hold and came back stating I had already canceled 3x and this would be my 4th time rescheduling. Which was not true. I had only rescheduled twice. She then said we'll go ahead and reschedule again this time but in the future we won't be able to do it. She didn't acknowledge that she was incorrect and the number of times I'd rescheduled. I told her not to worry about it and that they didn't need my business. She replied "perfect". This was very unprofessional. read more

If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. Please BEWARE- they won't tell you upfront that your insurance is out of their network even after you call a week before the appointment to get it verified. They'll then send you a massive bill with absolutely NO details for the charges- literally, it's a completely blank bill just with a huge dollar amount telling you what you owe. Even when you call the office to request the breakdown, they don't email it or mail it like you ask. I keep receiving a bill in the mail with no explanation. I even asked to speak to an office manager and I'm pretty sure they paid a 15 year old to make the call and leave a random message. My insurance verified that they were contacted and told the rep that my insurance was out of network with the name of the rep and the date and time but that information was never relayed to me. I find this extremely unprofessional and truly question the ethics of a company that conducts business this way- beyond disappointing to say the least. I'll add that while at the office I had to wait for over an hour for my scheduled appointment. They were in such a hurry to charge me as much as they could that they barely actually did the teeth cleaning part which was the primary reason for the visit. I encourage you to find a more reputable dentist office, one that actually cares about the customer, and not just raking you over the coals to get money. read more
