I would not recommend getting the cool sculpting services here. Every time I had an appointment I was always seen 10-15 minutes past my appointment time. I once showed up for my follow up appointment and they told me the rules changed for this so I didn't need to be seen for another few weeks. Why didn't they call me to reschedule rather than wasting my trip/time there? I barely had noticeable changes after my treatments and they said because you're already skinny you may not see much change. It was such a waste of money. You're better off doing the Ashley Black Fascia Blaster instead of the cool sculpting services to save TONS of money. Trust me on this. read more

I am at a loss of where to go from here. My last appointment was in August 2021, at that time I was told I would be placed on a list for them to call me back once appointments opened up. Weeks turned to months when I never received a call back I called in October. I was told by a man that they were short-staffed and that they were working hiring and training new staff members, that they would have someone call me back. I was not convinced because that's exactly what they had said to me in August. I told the man on the phone that I wasn't going to be continuing to pay for a service that I wasn't receiving due to staffing issues, not my problem. I called and called without luck of getting an appointment and in December I was fed up. I called and spoke to multiple people, one of which belonged to corporate. She promised me that she was going to figure this out and have a manager reach out to me. I called back multiple times after no manager reached out to me. I still am continuing to do my part and reach out to the company but no one will listen to me and all they are concerned about is my payment. I am at a complete loss. The woman I spoke with today (1/18/22) told me my contract was considered closed because I had completed 6 treatments... as a reminder, I haven't had an appointment since August so this seems like a complete scam to me. It's funny how my treatment is considered 'complete' and all of a sudden I can't get an appointment since then. I can't get any manager to return my call. DO NOT fall for this company. I DO NOT recommend this place. I went to this center on May 31st 2019 and paid in full for my treatments. However, during the consultation I was informed that the treatments would not result in the desired outcome. So I had to cancel and was told that my refund would take 30-45 days. Is it possible to give a negative review? My current dermatologist asked that I stop by and check out the competition. The prices are absolutely insane!!!!! Beware of the advertised 50% discount, the only way to get it is to finance your treatment for 36 months- not a good look. The price for an individual treatment for a medium size area came to about $799. While my dermatologist charges only $350 and is in Chevy Chase. Needless to say, I got out of there. There are no dermatologists on site and no doctors, a sales lady takes you to a room and suggests the areas of treatment no one is on staff to back up the sales persons claims. I don't even see how this franchise is legal. Get zapped at your own risk!!!! Or do your research and consult one of the area's dermatologists before you give up your first born child and finance an otherwise affordable procedure with these people. read more

I recently called to make an appointment for botox, once I arrived there on the day of my appointment to my surprise the front desk lady said I didn't have an appointment. I was confused and frustrated since I would have to come back another day. I set an appointment there with the front desk for July 25th, I came back on July 25th the day of my appointment and once again they said I didn't have an appointment. They have been charging me for a member ship I never signed up for. I told the front desk to cancel it and she canceled it for me but I'm still getting charged. The girl working the front desk seemed like she didn't want to help me and was being rude towards me. Every time I call their business nobody ever picks up the phone. I don't recommend this place, they're not professional, terrible customer service and a sloppy job with appointments. I had an appointment at this location on February 6th at 3 PM, I arrived 25 minutes early and was told the trainer left. The receptionist told me they kept calling me to confirm my appointment, and I said I kept calling back but nobody was picking up the line and I couldn't leave a message because the voicemail was full. After such I called to leave a message with the manager to call me back, I still have not heard back. They obviously have no respect for other people's time, I had to take an hour off of work to go to this appointment. They lost any future business with me. Well it's seven months later and I tried to give them another try, working with the regional director I got a great discount for broadband laser therapy. I bought a package deal, but when I went in for my fourth visit yesterday the technician turned me away because I went on a one hour jog two days before hand. I used SPF 50 sun block, I did not have a burn or tan of any kind and I took off work and got wrongfully turned away for service. When I got home I did my research and looked it up and they should've only turned me away if I went sunning or tanning up to a month prior to the visit, neither of which I did. So the next day I called the receptionist and asked them if they could see me soonest to given I was wrongfully turned away and she got argumentative with me stating that wasn't their problem that was at the technicians discretion. read more

I've recently moved to the Maryland area, and this Ideal Image is the closest to my city. They were super nice, and was able to schedule me the next day. I began my treatment in 2007 at a location in Greensboro, NC and then transferred to the Braintree, MA location when I moved to Boston, MA. Both of those locations I'd gone to for years because of the wonderful customer service that I'd received. So, it was important for me to find another location that was up to the same quality of service that I'd received previously, now that I live in Maryland. It's a bit of a drive from where I live, but I was so pleased by my experience. The receptionist was friendly when I arrived, and Shannon, the person that completed my treatment was awesome! We chatted the entire time, and barely even felt the laser treatment happening. She was gentle and the machine wasn't turned up so high that it would burn my skin (that has happened in the past). The only issue was that my appointment was at 11 AM, and I don't think I was called back until about 11:30 AM. I won't hold that against them at this point since I was new to their location, and I had to update my file. However, it was 15 minutes or more after I returned the iPad with my updated information, before I was treated. For now, I will definitely be back! read more

Now unfortunately in the past we had to reschedule her appointment due to her sister who is special needs. Now my daughter still has hair in every place where they promised me they would be no hair. Now they say her sessions are expired but she never received the full treatment. Now they want me to pay more. I am sad that i invested in this company. I am sad that I am stuck with this company. My daughter is important. I hate that now since they never finished her treatments that I have to pay more. My video consultation was alright. Brittany was very sweet but i did feel slight pressure to sign up. I was under the impression that the laser would work on my hair type but when i went in for my first session they told me it would not work on me. So i was very upset because this was a lot of money and during covid times it's not easy coming up with all that money. They tried to sway me into continuing the laser to see if it would work and it put a bad taste in my mouth. They were super rude about it and they were doing anything they could to make me stay and put the money towards other services. I called customer service and they transferred me to someone that could help cancel my contract and when i got ahold of them they checked my chart to see that the laser wouldn't work for me and proceeded to tell me that they would cancel my contract and it would take approximately 4 weeks to see a change on my loan statement. It's been near 3 months now and nothing has changed. I tried calling them again and i keep getting voicemail. I will be contacting the BBB because this is absolutely ridiculous. I had the coolsculpting process done at the end of Dec 2016 to my lower stomach area. I was scheduled for 2 sessions. When I initially went in for my consultation I was told I would be able to continue doing my normal activties after the procedure an wouldnt experience any pain. I was in excruiating pain for the next 2 weeks. I looked on forums an found that there are a percentage of people who experience this type of pain. Ideal Image failed to tell me any of this information. I never made an appointment for the second procedure. I cant afford to take that much time off of work. This place...sigh. I wanted to like ideal image. It has alot going for it in terms of options, and I love that you can come in after work for stuff because their open beyond 5PM. However, this office in particular is just a big NO in my opinion. The receptionists are not super friendly and they also never answer the phone. When I had a consult for my procedure, the lady that did it was just blah. Their prices are kind of high compared to other places I've went and they try to make you believe your getting a good deal by showing you their "specials" which they have constantly and don't really offer a good deal at all. I also found it irritating that they expected me to pay for the procedure three weeks before I received it. While I've had to put deposits down before, its usually a specified amount thats minimal compared to the actual price. basically, they wanted me to do a high interest payment plan, or pay all of it on the spot. no bueno, especially because that payment with my credit card complied interest for three weeks before anything was actually done. the nurse practitioner who did my procedure was ok. I didn't have any issues with her, but I did feel a little rushed with the whole thing. When i finished and was changing in the room still, another nurse came in and just started preparing for her appointment....it was a little rude TBH. Can you at least give me some privacy while I'm changing after I just payed for a 2000+ procedure? still waiting on the results but I can tell you I won't be scheduling anything here in the future. read more

After reading all the reviews I wish I definitely read them first. I've experienced just about everything a "laser hair removal" recipient has complained about. I've had multiple techs after I've asked for 1 and scheduled my appointment based off their schedule. This definitely resulted in different areas being treated differently and not as thoroughly as the last tech. I've also had to deal with inconsistency of information. I was told that the price for touch ups were one thing and ended up being different. I feel if I had a consistent tech I would have had better results. I purchased laser hair removal, juvaderm for the lips, and voluma for the cheeks which I had to get a payment plan for since it's like $2500 for, first payment in July. Anyways I had my first laser hair treatment today and stopped to schedule my next treatment on my way out. To say I was livid to hear the next available was mid-October would be an understatement! The recommended time in between treatments is 6-8 weeks for the best results, wtf kind of results am I going to get when it's 16 weeks in between sessions!?!? I also tried to book my filler, those appointments aren't even available until November. Oh and if you read the fine print in the bs contract you sign you have to use what you purchase within 6 months so you better pray that they don't cancel your appointment because then you lose hundreds of dollars or more there. They suggested I call the other locations which I do but for whatever God awful reason the calls are answered by Arundel Mills and then they have to transfer you. I would NEVER recommend Ideal Image to anybody. They fail to mention what kind of wait times your looking at when you buy into whatever bs they sell you. I am so effing angry right now. I literally just googled if it's okay to wait 16 weeks in between laser hair removal sessions and guess what!? I called up Ideal Images because I was browsing around places to get the small patches of hairs lasered on my jawline and upper neck. I was recommended Ideal Image, but found it very weird that they couldn't give me a general estimated quote over the phone, which should have been my first red flag. I decided to book for a consultation anyway. The receptionist and the business manager were incredibly nice, and the atmosphere is very pleasant as well. At my consultation, the business manager seemed very knowledgable about the "science" of lasering and hair removal. The technicians and nurses also came in to evaluate me, evaluating my skin type as a "3 or 4... mostly 3" on the Fitzpatrick scale and assuring that I was a good candidate for both of their lasers of Yag and Candela (note: I am CERTAINLY not a #3 according to another medical spa I have chosen to give my business to for WAY cheap, and one of these lasers that Ideal Image uses and suggested would not have suited my skin!). When I got my estimate, my jaw dropped. ~1000$ just to get my jawline and upper neck lasered!? And mind you, I'm talking about a small section of hairs WITH a 70% off sale going on. This was a shocker to me because other salons that use the EXACT same machinery charge 1/5 of that price for the same service on Groupon. The manager could clearly tell that I wasn't comfortable with the prices, and she offered me additional discounts (one for a student discount, and another for a consultation). This is another red flag, because as another user said, the pricing sure isn't consistent. The manager essentially brought it down to $850, was pressuring me, and at one point said "I'm not sure why you would need to research much further when you are getting a great offer in front of you!" Um what!? I do need to research because like I said before, I need to compare other medical spas around the area to see what prices they are offering, see what THEY would recommend me, etc. Why go to a salon that charges ~850-1000$ for a small area, when another salon that uses the EXACT same machinery and is ALSO very knowledgeable in what they're doing can provide the services in a FRACTION of what Ideal Image is charging me!? Red flag #3 was that they do not have before and after pictures of their clients' laser hair removal journey. Ummm... How can you be a large chain, pride yourself on having nurses, etc but NOT have a portfolio to show potential clients!? Thankfully I walked away, knowing I made the right choice not to give them my business. Def do your research, and don't get sucked into ideal image. Unless you want to get ripped off. I would recommend to search up a trusted 4 or 5 star medical spas in your area on GroupOn that use the exact same machinery (or better) as Ideal Image -- Candela or Cynosure... I just had to worst experience at the Ideal Image location in Hanover. The technician I had today, Moni, was extremely rude to me from the very beginning of my appointment. She was short, aggressive, and seemingly annoyed at my very presence. The treatment started off with her reprimanding me, and her attitude was so offensive that I had to stop and ask her if I had done something to offend her. To which she responded, "No...I am sorry...I am just having a bad morning". She also sped through the treatment, in a way that I am not sure if the treatment was done correctly or thoroughly. She treated me like I was a nuisance. After my appointment concluded, I asked the employee at the front desk, Ivy, for the corporate number so that I could file a formal complaint and she would not give it to me. I had to call the Towson, MD location to get the corporate number. I am disgusted that this is the way that a company would do business. I have never been treated so poorly. read more

I went to Ideal Image at Arundel Mills on November 30, 2019 to inquire about a service. And while I was there Debbi told me they were having a special. I said I would like to wait til Monday to think about it and she told me today is the last day for the special. She offered interest free financing and I felt pressured into making a decision right then and now. So I signed the contract for the financing. The next day I knew I did not want to continue with this contract I was no longer interested in any services at that time. So I called on Monday December 2, 2019 and spoke to Lauren the manager, I explained how I wanted to cancel the contract and she said she was sorry there was nothing she could do. I asked her how can this be? When you buy a car you have three days to cancel and you drive off with the car and I didn't use your services. I called the financing company and cancelled their financing but I found out that I am still responsible for the contracted amount. I called the next business day to say please cancel this contract I am no longer interested so this is very concerning to me that they run a business that the very next day someone can't cancel a contract. Buyer beware stay away from Ideal Image. They don't care about pleasing their potential clients they only want their money even if they have to lie and pressure people into a contract. Their business won't have longevity with this reputation. I will be contacting the general attorneys office, BBB and the local news station. I have had two laser sessions so far and each time I have had a different nurse do the procedure. While I would prefer to have the same nurse each session, I can say that both nurses were both great! I cannot give 5 stars, or even 4 stars for that matter, because the front desk staff is terrible. On the day of my first appointment I was about 5 minutes early and due to COVID-19 I had to call to inform them that I was out front and was informed that they would call me when the nurse was ready for me. They never called me. After about 25 minutes, I called back to ask if there was an issue because I had been waiting for so long and this was the one of the first appointments (8am). When I called to book my next appointment they were very rude about it. I have my third session coming up and received a call to confirm my appointment. When I called in to confirm they were very rude and gave me attitude. I am loving the service I am receiving from the nurses, but the front end staff make this not so enjoyable. read more

The only reason to bother going here is bc they have a laser that is supposed to work on darker skins and they have 36 mo financing. I paid $2500 for lasering my entire bikini area. $2,500 is a lot of money for 10 sessions. Each session is less than 12 minutes. I recommend this ideal image for lasering their bikini area BUT the price is ridiculous. This procedure should at least be at an estimate of $1,500. I do not recommend. I got Botox $300 it did not work AT ALL and then they wanted to charge me another $300 to redo it. I threw a fit, it was obvious it did not work. After about a week they called and wanted me to come in a get pictures taken to send them to their corporate office to get an OK to redo it with no charge. I considered it but I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE considering I also got ultherapy and I'm on my 6th month and see no difference at all that was $2,900 down the tubes. I have had such a headache with this company. I was originally being treated in the office in Louisville, KY and filled out a request form for my chart to be sent to the Hanover location because I was moving to Washington, DC. They told me it would be taken care of within a couple of weeks and to go ahead and schedule an appointment with the Hanover, MD location, which I did immediately. So here was my first problem: 1) A couple of days before my treatment (mind you this was almost 8 weeks later) I got a call from Hanover and they told me they had not received my chart from Louisville due to technical issues and they were going to have to reschedule it. The "technical issue" in Louisville was due to a broken fax machine. My questions were...Is this 1980?? And why was this not taken care of weeks ago?? Needless to say, my treatment was pushed back a week. 2) I was scheduled for 12:30 today at the Hanover location which is 50 minutes from my home. I left at 11:30, only to run into close to dead stop traffic for almost 40 minutes. This would have put me behind by about 20 minutes. I called multiple times before I got through to explain the issue. Once I finally reached them, they had absolutely no flexibility with me because they were having emergency work done on their lazer light and had cancelled all of the appointments after 12:30 for the day. They told me I was upset because of traffic, and that we should discuss the issue once I've calmed down. I was in no way raising my voice, using language, or being unreasonable. I was simply frustrated I had come so far only to be rescheduled because of technical issues....again, and felt I needed some kind of compensation. Simply put...this has been horrible customer service, and they desperately need better communication between their offices, and with their customers. read more

I am a new customer to this particular Ideal Image location, but I have been a member with Ideal Image for 2 years now and I absolutely love them!!! I began with LASER HAIR REMOVAL treatments 2 years ago. I've had my underarms, full bikini, and am now working on having my legs done. Today I had my very first COOL SCULPTING appointment. I cannot speak highly enough about them. Ideal Image takes your safety very seriously, all treatments are FDA cleared and delivered by registered nurses. They do a thorough history with you to make sure you will not be putting yourself at any risk. I was so impressed that they wanted to know all skin conditions I've had in the past, they wanted dermatologist approval (as my skin can be tricky), and they did not in any way try to oversell me on anything, if anything they help me save money by helping me identify areas they can treat, while telling my what areas would not be worth my while to treat. The staff and nurses are all incredibly friendly and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable while you are in their presence. When you enter the door for an appointment you get checked in and are immediately offered a refreshment. They have fully stocked bathrooms that are clean. They have a pleasant waiting area with music and magazines. Ok first for laser... Yes it is uncomfortable. I would say that of the areas I've had treated, my legs have come the closest to hurting which I believe is due to the fact that it is a larger area and takes longer to treat. The best I can describe the discomfort is like getting a small cut or getting stung by a rubber band. The nurses are amazing though and they work fast to get you in and out with a ton of flexibility. I'm a really busy person and they make this a workable process. The process is also affordable, they are constantly running different deals to help you get the treatments you want at affordable prices. It's not cheap, but you wouldn't want this to be cheap! You want good service. Plus, once you start with Ideal Image you become a member for life. You can then get discounted touch up sessions if your hormones change and some hair comes back (because let's face it, your body can be fickle). I have finished treating my underarms and bikini area and I can say that 97% of the hair is gone!!! Now the laser cannot get blondes, reds, or greys, so some very fine soft hair is left, and only a very very very few of my regular hairs have grown back (and my hair used to be thick and annoying). With legs I have had 3 of my 9 treatments so far and it has been wonderful, I've barely had to shave since starting treatments. No you will not have absolutely no hairs left, but you will absolutely get your money's worth, physical science prevents it from working like magic If you have a low pain tolerance they offer numbing cream and they can write a prescription for pain killers (I cannot vouch for either as I've never used them). Either way though the aloe they put on after feels amazing.... almost as amazing as 1-2weeks after treatment where all the hair in the area sheds :). Cool sculpting is probably my new favorite thing :). I first heard about it and thought it was too good to be true. Then I attended the info session and learned that cool sculpting freezes the fat cells and then your body sends enzymes to "eat" the fat cells and your body then eliminates them. After talking with multiple people who had the treatment and seeing before and after pictures off of their phones I knew I wanted this done. I ended up purchasing treatments for my stomach, inner thigh, flanks (aka love handles), and bra line. Today I had my very first set of sessions on stomach and inner thigh. At first it is uncomfortable when the vacuum sucks in a fold of fat, but once the cooling is turned on you go numb in about 5 minutes and then you sit there for an hour. I asked them about frostbite and they have multiple protective factors so you will not be harmed (it is FDA cleared remember). It's a long day getting multiple of these treatments, but I am so excited to start seeing real results in a couple months. After the treatment is done the nurse massages the skin and fat back into place. You feel numb and sore in the areas treated and are instructed to put on spanx or an equivalent type garment the first couple days to help support you and keep things in place as your body readjusts (trust me it helps). I would not say I'm in pain, I'd say I'm aching a little. I've been told the first week you feel it the most, you may bruise, pain may worsen, but then it gets better. All in all, I absolutely love Ideal Image. I have gotten a few friends to sign up for services and they have reported positive feedback as well. Ideal Image will sell you an expensive package which is good for a limited time. When I bought mine it was for 2 years. They will tell you have Saturday appointments. I specifically told them I live out of town and specifically asked about availability of Saturday appointments before I signed the contract at the Albuquerque location. You would think that would be sufficient time but they significantly understaff Saturdays and evenings to the extend that these appointments are rarely available. However, I barely finished the sessions I purchased within the 2 years and now have to wait months for an appointment to use the "guarantee" sessions. Since moving to Maryland I have experienced the same issues. At the Arundel Mills location, I have to book months in advance. This leads me to think the issue is company wide. As well, they skip on the laser pulses. My first 4 session were useless (Albuquerque location). It was only when I called the corporate office and complained did they finally increase the pulses and treatment began to be effective. Since my first 4 sessions were wasted, it would have cost me significantly less to get treatment on a per session basis. I would compare the experience of my contract with Ideal Image to being trapped in a cable contract. Since have already committed to paying for the service so they have no incentive to provide quality treatment or good customer services. By the time you realized that they will not provide the service as described in the "consultation" pitch or you are trapped in a contract. I went in for a consult. I heard about this place from the Kane radio show. I had to wait for the "free consult," which is fine, but during my so called consult the lady just told me what the price was and that was it, while she was lotioning her hands. I love the Kane show, but recommending this place was not in the best interest of their listeners. The lady I waited to see didn't check my hair follicles or anything. She sat behind her desk lotioning her hands! Worst of all even with the 60-75% discount they are WAYYYY over priced! Please don't waste your time or money! read more

I went to this place because it was conveniently close to where I live. I've received Botox treatments for the past 2 years in San Diego and overseas. I came to this place for routine maintenance and I was charged $520 for forehead, frown lines, and crows feet. I returned to the location after 14 days of NO RESULTS in frown lines and minimal results on forehead. They told me that they made a mistake in how the treatment was delivered by the nurse but offered no solution to rectify their mistake. In other words, I paid for 52 injections and not only half of them were serviced, the injection placement was also wrong. They asked me to buy more of their incompetent service and as a loyal customer I'd rather go somewhere else. I know we all make mistakes so I was fair to return and give them an opportunity to fix it. However they refuse to deliver the service I paid for. Overall incompetent, and poorly trained people. This is my first bad review about their customer service. I'm always positive but not in this situation. 1. They never follow up on issues unless if it benefits them 2. They are corporate money suckers and liars. Please think before you visit them after reading this. Results are OK but not extremely satisfying. I don't want anyone else to get into the same situation that I am in. For personal reasons, I moved from one of the Franchise Location to Corporate office. I finished all my 11 treatments and entering into my lifetime membership. They told me that when I enter into my lifetime membership, I need to pay 90 dollars per visit which I agreed upon. Later, one fine day they told me I don't have to pay a penny. I was surprised. I should have asked them to document it. Now, they told me I need to pay 90 dollars. Weird, right. It's extremely upsetting. I asked them how could they check me out without paying 90 dollars last time. No answer. All they said was human error and took me into the office. You pay 90 dollars and get your treatment. Otherwise get out. Yes, they said get out. The lady who said these words is Erica Waddy. So, please beware of her. They are very pleasing until they make you enrolled. Later, you see their true colors. We are gone talk to the regional manager soon and are going to ask for a written explanation for what they have done to us. Please don't get into a situation. Think twice before you join. read more

The lady who did my consultation seemed friendly but lied to my face. One lady who did my procedure was so bad. she had consult another technician and eventually I had to reschedule for another visit. They lied about the number of sessions I needed. The results, well it has been a year and I'm still waiting on my results. Terrible! read more

Got coolsculpting here like a year ago. I should have written a review then. DO NOT GO HERE. I went here and got coolsculpting on my inner thighs. It did absolutely NOTHING. The physician also kept telling me that I gained two pounds when I went in for my results but I had only gained point something pounds and of course my weight fluctuates depending on the time of day. She just kept basically telling me it was my fault that it didn't work because I had gained "2 pounds" which was not true first of all. Do not waste your money here, period.
