The team at Milan in Laurel are always so pleasant. They throughly explain every aspect of the service and work with you whenever you're experiencing discomfort. The salon is clean and peaceful. Just note they keep temperature low so it's cold in the salon. I suggest bringing a sweater if you're sensitive to low temps. Its important that you follow all of the aftercare and before service protocols. Thankfully they keep the service room and bathroom stocked with products for use before and/or after service, like alcohol wipes, aloe and deodorant. If you getting a large section done, the tech marks your skin with a white "eye liner"; you will need something like make up remover to get it off. Overall Milan is great. Totally worth the investment especially if you're hairy or travel a lot because you can receive treatment at any location in the USA. read more

This is not my first time trying laser hair removal, I have some horror stories, however these ladies have completely changed my view. Jenae, Rhay, and Shakia are extremely welcoming, hospitable, respectful, and informative. You immediately feel like you're at home with this team. Shakia is AMAZING at what she does! If I could have left a zero for my review I would have. I made my appointment in early July for today Saturday August 24, 2024 at 1:30 pm.... If I could leave 0/5 stars--I would. First, I'd like to say that I normally go to the location in Skokie, IL however due to me being in school I have to go to another location during my time in school. I would like to say, this has been my second time at this very location and overall I just don't like the energy that the clinic gives off. However, this particular day was horrible for me. I am someone who has a VERY low pain tolerance and almost everything hurts. At the time of my appointment, I was on my 7th session (I knew that it would be painful--because it always is) The nurse that I had completely made my experience horrible. I don't normally write reviews nor like to talk bad about someone but since this was my first time ever leaving a treatment upset (I was LIVID) I had to write about it. So, as I normally do since I don't have a consistent person at this location. I started with a greeting & the nurse proceeded to say Hi and asked me about how my treatment is going. I told her that it was going well and that I was having hair loss. She then abruptly states "Well how much of a percentage is that". I told her I couldn't give a definitive percentage, I wouldn't say 100% but I also would say about more than 50%. It already was giving that she either didn't want to be at work or that she simply just had an attitude. Then I told her I am someone who is very sensitive so if she can apply pressure that would be great. She then told me "I'll see what I can do because I won't be able to do that at the same time and can't do it in some areas" Now, I understand doing both might be challenging--However at my normal location this is never a problem. Because in the end isn't their job to satisfy the customer? I mean customer service is something that this job requires, isn't it? I then proceeded to tell her that I use numbing cream to help relieve some of the pain that I feel during my experience. She then states "You aren't supposed to use that" (Again, I have always used numbing cream and have been told to make sure that it is wiped off before the treatment and have always abided by those instructions). So, at this point, I am getting upset because I'm not comfortable and I just feel like my treatment is already starting off very bad. Then the treatment started and as the treatment was going the clinics have the cool air that blows with the laser and at my other location, the cool air is very strong (almost like a high fan is blowing) while at this location I asked the nurse "is this the highest the fan goes" she states "yes". I stated "Oh that's weird because at my other location, the fan blows much higher than this" Obviously I was already in pain and the cooling fan helps a little bit. She states "well I'm not sure how, I have been using this all day and this is the highest it goes" But, I clearly was able to feel the difference in the power that was being used. I constantly had to keep reminding her "Can you please apply pressure, this is very painful". Throughout my experience, I felt like she was doing a very half job while performing my treatment. Normally my treatments last longer than 20-25mins but this time it went by quite quicker than my usual time which makes me think it was rushed and the time or pain that I was experiencing didn't matter to her. After my treatment, I wanted to speak with the manager but was told that she wasn't there. I then reached out to my normal location in regards to speaking with the manager at this location. Unfortunately I tried calling again another day and received no call back. My normal clinic also reached out to this clinic in an attempt to contact the manager at this location to talk about the experience that I had and still to this day, I have yet to hear back from anyone in regard to my appointment/experience that day. I am completely disappointment that my experience that I had was not taken into consideration at all and that there has not been a sense of urgency with this matter. I will never receive treatment again from this clinic as I-- a loyal customer to the Milan company doesn't matter to them at all. read more

I transferred here after I moved from Charlotte and I was a bit nervous as sometimes chain companies can have varying quality by location, but I had a really great experience.
