I am super disappointed with the customer service from the manager, Jennifer. 4 months ago, I posted a review on Google about how my treatment did not work, and she contacted me the day after. We had a pleasant discussion and she said she would get back to me the next week about a solution. I never heard from her and have called and left messages with the staff at least 50 times because she's either not there or not available. ORIGINAL POST: My laser hair removal DID NOT WORK. I finished my laser treatment well before COVID, the only reason I have taken so long to post a review is because I was in denial and hoping my hair would magically fall off. I completed all 9 of my treatments (5 service sessions and 4 touch-up sessions) roughly a year ago and followed all instructions throughout my treatment, yet I still have all my hair. They gave me an "examination" to decide whether or not the treatment would work for me (obviously they decided yes), but all they did was peak at the area in question for less than a second. Apparently I have dark red hair. I didn't find that out until my very last treatment when the tech shaved the area and told me I have dark red hair as she showed it to me in her hand after I asked why I still had so much hair - a question I had asked a few times before that. You would have thought any of the previous techs would have noticed - I had the techs shave the area every time so they could see my progress, and so they could see how wide of an area they needed to get. I'm just extremely disappointed I paid so much money for laser hair "removal" after being told it would work when that could have easily been avoided by doing a more thorough examination. I did not live anywhere close to the site and had to take off work for my appointments. Let alone the reason for the treatment was embarrassment and difficulty shaving, which I still have. read more

This place...it bums me to have to say this. I'll just relay what happened. Lack of communication: I purchased cool sculpting for my torso front and back, and under my chin. The sales rep made no indication that this could be a painful procedure. The procedure itself was extremely painful, and I blacked out 4 times. Before or after my appointment, at no point was it communicated to me that in 3-4 days I'd likely experience acute nerve pain due to my nerve endings repairing themselves. I had to figure this out by reading through forums. A few days after my procedure I started having nerve pain like ...fire ants were crawling over my belly. I thought something was terribly wrong and I was really worried until I found out online that this was normal and that I'd need gabapentin. Why the tech didn't tell me this and just send me home with some makes no sense to me. I felt like that this information had been withheld on purpose just to make money faster and make sure potential customers weren't turned off by the prospect of pain. No kindness: These procedures can be scary, just generally speaking. I was really nervous on the day of my appointment. Part of this procedure is that you have to take a "before" picture. I had to strip down and put these paper pants on and this small cloth with two elastic loops on the sides that is supposed to cover my breasts in the photo. The breast cover would not stay in place and it kept slipping down and exposing me. Having a picture taken of yourself with all of the parts that you are uncomfortable with is already a certain level of humiliation. When I wasn't able to cover up, the tech wouldn't allow me to put a tie on it in the back because it was "against policy" (no further explanation). I had to have everything photographed and maybe this is normal (?) but I wasn't expecting it and she did not care at all that this was upsetting and humiliating. During the procedure it gets very cold in the room. It seemed to annoy her that I was cold. The procedure itself is painful and when I was in distress there was no effort to reassure me. After each section is done the suction is taken off and that area has to be massaged. I got no warning that this would also be painful and she would just dig in. Just an overall lack of empathy and compassion; I felt like any concern I had was a huge inconvenience. Scheduling issues: I scheduled, I had thought, the whole procedure to be done on the same day. I just wanted to get it all over with. On the day of my appointment I arrived on time and waited in the waiting room for ~ 40 minutes before I was taken to my procedure. At the end of the session I was told that they had not made enough time in my appointment to do my chin and I would need to reschedule this. I still haven't gone back yet for my chin, and I'll admit that it's because I'm not looking forward to being in pain around people that don't care again. All told this procedure cost over $6000 dollars and I don't feel like it was worth it. Not because of the results but because of how discouraging the whole experience was. read more

Was there for a consultation. Made an appointment 3 days earlier, got there and their system was down, running later. The system came back up while I was waiting about 10 minutes later. 30 minutes later I was still sitting there and the reception was not polite or customer service friendly at all. I am an educated person and I was shocked when I heard that I have to pay $10,000 for one year and not only that but they also asked me to pay all at once! I don't think they can even guarantee whether the hair will grow or nor because their equipment are very new! Also the people made me for 40 minutes after the appointed time! My wife went for a consultation and bought laser hair for her bikini area. The two consultants were very pushy and talked her into buying full chest for thousands of dollars when after consulting a friend who works in medical spas only has about 3 hairs on the area. She went to get a refund and they have been ducking and dodging her ever since. She gets her bikini done and each time the laser is intensified its the most painful thing she has ever experienced. My wife is now in her "lifetime membership" meaning after the 9 treatments she has paid thousands of dollars for are over she has to still come back every few weeks for "touchups" and pay $90 each time! The craziest thing I've ever heard in my life. A sham. Most of her friends have signed up for this foolishness and have been tricked out of their money. She still believes it will work but she's paid all this money for something that has NOT. When you ask what you payed for they tell you "you signed a contract no refund" If you are thinking about it look into it and ask the nurses for advice, some of them atleast seem honest. read more

I give them 1 star because there are no 0's. I didn't get a chance to evaluate them because after asking TWICE for a specific provider, and receiving confirmation, I drove 45 minutes to the office only to be told that she was off. The reviews are correct. From a business standpoint, this office needs help in organization.... not to mention customer service with someone who actually smiles and greets you when you walk in the door. This can be overlooked by an established client, I guess. But it turned off this potential new client.... by the way I was called immediately after I left to reschedule (which I didn't and won't) and called again by the person I was scheduled to see who had the audacity to leave a message saying that she understood 'that I could not make my appt.' ... no thank you... read more

Long term customers are undervalued. Because I"m military and move frequently, this is the third and worst location I've been treated at. Your appointment will be greatly delayed to accommodate first time customers ahead of you who want a treatment after signing a contract. I came in for a free consultation and more information about the laser hair removal process at Ideal Image. Vanessa, who conducted the consultation session, was very rude. She had sly comments about the fact that I was still in the research phase of the laser hair removal process. I'm assuming because I wasn't ready to sign up today. Personally, I like to be an educated consumer although Ideal Image itself seemed like the most promising route for hair removal. I was still considering all options. When I told her that I wasn't ready to make a commitment today. She responded rather rudely, "oh well, you won't get these prices then."I expect a place of business to welcome me as a consumer even before I choose to indulge in its services. Luckily Ideal Image has multiple facilities. Having some form of respect for potential consumers is just as important as the service a business provides. I've been coming to this location for about 14 months now. (So I believe I've had 7 laser sessions on my under arms). I have very thick black hair, and since my first appointment I've seen a massive reduction in the amount and quality of my underarm hair. Each person I've met with has been very nice and polite. The last time I went, she said that they would probably extend my original package (a total of 9 treatments) to include a few more, no charge, because I seem to have stubborn hairs. I had my last session 12/22 and I still haven't shaved yet. I can see some hair coming out and I probably will need to shave before my next session, but it is so fine that you couldn't see it unless you were up close and personal. I purchased my package at the 70% off sale so I got a great deal (I did not sign up for financing). I have the option to come back for significantly discounted sessions after my package is up if I want to touch up the area. Would definitely recommend! Also- I've seen lots of reviews that say how appointments are late sometimes, and yes that is true but it's never been an obscene amount of time that I've been taken in late. read more

I completely understand that each individual is different and treatment would be different but when your goal is to get me in there to upsell me damn near everything you are offering and get me locked into a contract....i'll pass. read more

Everyone at this location is very nice. They make you feel very comfortable and answer any questions or concerns you may have. It is very expensive but doing something for me that makes me feel better about myself is well worth it. The treatment itself is very effective. I had a 80% reduction in hair growth after just 1 treatment and 95% reduction after treatment 3. I couldn't be happier. Stop in for a consult. I was able to schedule an appointment that day, and I was personally greeted by the consultant, Erica, who walked me through all my options for getting rid of my forehead wrinkles. This is a follow to my previous review about having to book months in advance to get an appointment outside of work hours. As I stated previous, they will tell you during the sales pitch that they have Saturday appointments. I specifically told them I live out of town and specifically asked about the availability of Saturday appointments before I signed the contract. I tried to book a weekend appointment today June 16 and they do not have any weekend appointments available until September 5. read more

As far as pricing, yes it is expensive and after researching other locations you are better off going someplace else or using group on. As far as making appointments, be aware this will be a headache. Always full and appointments are well past your due time to return. Staffing varies from time to time.You may get a nice young lady or an ultimate grumpy who hates her job. I am giving a two star because the actual laser hair removal works however any other cheaper more well rounded place could have done the job. I visited Ideal Image after listening to the local radio station advertise it for African American skin. I should have known from the lack of pricing on the website that there was a gimmick. I cancelled my first appt at another facility referred to by my dermatologist and opted to inquire here. I listened to the young lady throw her sales pitch like she was selling timeshares. She offered to take me to a room to see the lasers, but I asked for pricing first. SHe gave me a form to complete while she did the figures. Keep in mind that after their "back to school 50% special", the cost to do my face was about $5,000. Really??? So this would normally cost $10,000? What do they think they are giving you? Breast implants??? I was so livid that I started ripping the form she had me complete in a multitude of pieces. I couldnt get out of there any faster. Other reputable places quoted $1500 to $2000. For that price the lifetime guarantee treatments should be FREE. In addition, she claimed their lasers wouldn't cause burns or anything and I have since read a multiple of complaints regarding facial burns and lawsuits from their company. I have read about occasions where people's hair never went away and even with the lifetime mumbo jumbo they still had to pay $400 plus per visit. PUHLEASE!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE. read more

Sarah C. took the words right out of my mouth. The experience I had with the coolsculpting procedure was very traumatic. I opted to have my inner and outer thighs and my upper flanks done. All I heard during the free consultation was how good of a candidate I was and I could immediately go back to work after the procedures, but NOONE told me about the extreme pain and burning I would feel days after the procedure. The first experience I had with the pain woke me up on the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep for days! Now let's go back to the procedure itself, the technician thoroughly explained the suctioning portion and what to expect and how it would feel so I was prepared for that, but I WASN'T prepared for the massaging. Yes, they tell you they will have to massage you and it's a very important step, but they don't forewarn you as to how much pain it would cause. I too passed out during the procedure, to the extent that they felt it necessary to call 911. NONE OF THIS IS TOLD TO YOU DURING THE CONSULTATION! So $3,500 later and 4 weeks after having the procedure, I still don't see and noteworthy results. Truly had I seen Sarah C.'s review prior to doing this, I may have thought a little harder and decided not to do it. I can't stress enough that this procedure isn't for the faint of heart and if I could turn back time, I would opt for liposuction verses this...at least I know that works. Worst experience ever!! I have been getting treatments for about a year now. Still have hair growth with only 50% reduction after 8 treatments. The STAFF is rude and very disorganized. They are not flexible with scheduling whatsoever! I had my appointment canceled BY THEM and was told that they would call back when they decided what day they would provide appointments for everyone affected by the practitioner NOT showing up for work. I never received a phone call after 3 days so then tried to contact them myself but they STILL could not give me an appointment date. After 2 weeks I contacted them again. They think they are like a Medical Doctor's office who provided health care to patients but what they really are is A SALES COMPANY WHO WANTS TO MAKE SALES AND DOESN'T CARE AFTER THEY GET YOUR MONEY. I recommend making payments as you go that way when you don't have the best experience you can at least stop going. I am STUCK because I paid in full! I have researched LHR to get the most information as possible. after coming to the conclusion that the Alexandrite laser is the most comfortable and effective laser available I started looking for places close to home. I found Ideal Image in Hanover MD and my wife made an appointment for a consultation. I went with her since this is the first consultation - she wants the bikini area done. the lady we met with was such a pushy sales person it was more annoying than buying a car. anyway with the 70% off promotion at the time their 9 session package of the bikini area came to $1,800 - WOW. Oh yeah and they could only offer that price if she signed up right then, so she walked out of the room to give us a few minutes to talk about it. If they were giving a good price they wouldn't have to pressure you into signing up right then - they know they are overcharging. So I found a place in Columbia, MD that uses the Alexandrite laser as well. she made an appointment and went by herself. Well that place gives you a price and it's take it or leave it. A much better price - less than half of Ideal Image. she liked that place much better as it is setup as a doctor's office more rather than a over priced upscale coffee shop. So, needless to say her first session is scheduled for this week in Columbia and she's very excited. I would suggest going to a consultation at Ideal Image first, just to know what you don't want, and then go to a consultation or two at a more pleasant and reasonably priced location. read more

Let me start by saying these people are horrible!!!! I stopped by with my fiance to get more information about the laser hair removal process and pricing.
