Nela, the Front Desk Coordinator, was amazing. She provided the consultation and was super friendly, helpful, and very informative. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. The price was pretty affordable as well. I've since completed my second laser hair removal session and both visits have been awesome. The process is smooth, professional, and well-organized and takes less than 15 mins. Sessions are scheduled every 6-8 weeks, and I only have six more to go. I am pursuing hair removal treatment with Ideal Image VA Beach location. I wish the customer service here was what I experienced during my initial consultation with someone from the Milwaukee office. The people here don't act as if they want to be here. This is a place where people are electing to treat themselves to services that I believe would ultimately make them happier. However, the staff here aren't upbeat or friendly. The front desk is the first introduction to an establishment, and not that she was rude, but again she seemed like she did not want to be there. I was called back within 5 minutes by Julianne (Julia), I honestly cannot remember because she was wearing a mask and said her name so fast. I got into the room and asked if I could use the restroom before we got started. She mentioned that I couldn't until I spoke to the Nurse Practitioner. I asked if I could sit on the bed because they're weren't any seats. With her back to me, the technician handed me an iPad and I had a virtual chat with the nurse on the iPad. I went through the normal medical history with the nurse and handed the iPad back to the tech. At that point she told me to take my jacket and outer shirt off to have access to my arms, and she left out and said she would be back. I noticed there wasn't anywhere to hang my jacket and shirt. I ended up leaving it on the bed and had it under my legs. There isn't anywhere to put your belongings in the treatment rooms. She immediately started on my under arms without any sort of briefing or attempting to talk me through it. For me to be experiencing such a personal treatment, I felt the technician could have been more personal and less cold. You are putting a laser to my skin, my choice, but ease my mind a little bit. She just kept zapping until I had to tell her to stop because I needed a break for a second. I am feeling was seems like splashing on my face, I asked her what was it, and she nonchalantly said, its the cryogenic cooling. Unless I asked, this lady was saying nothing to me. When I finally got done, she said, ok you are done get dressed see you next time. At that point I say, wait.. how long will I have pain, can I use deodorant, anything, should I not shower? I am going through question after question because it seemed like she just wanted to get me in and out. Such and odd experience, for a treatment where I expect people to have a little bit of personality. Well I am locked in for 16months, at least 6 more treatments and touch-ups. I hope I am not locked in with this technician for the duration of my treatment. I was also on the fence about posting my experience before treatment was complete. I'm sorry to say, but this place is a sales-focused business. 1.I was first pressured into a contract. The woman on the phone told me I would get 70% off if I made an appointment the same day. Thinking this was great I went in. They quoted me at almost $10,500 for a very small area of bikini hair removal and then of course hit me with a 70% off which brought it down to around $3000. First of all, what a scam marketing tactic. 2. I was there so I agreed. The lady literally worked on a monthly rate with me to the point I was exhausted and just said yes to get out of there. 3. On one occasion, my nurse broke down crying because she said she hated her job so much and she wanted to quit and they were withholding all of her vacation time. I am an HR professional so she was asking me for advice. She was so upset. She messed up my laser hair removal. It was awful. 4. Another time a nurse asked me to leave a 5 star review. She didn't ask me how I liked everything or asked me for authentic feedback. 5. I can call their direct front desk number over and over throughout the day and it rings and rings. They forward all calls to the customer care center who know absolutely nothing about what is happening at each location. It's basically impossible to get an appointment here. No schedule to speak of. They just tell you they can't see anything open and ask you to call back. I've been waiting to hear back from them for a filler appointment for WEEKS NOW. The juvederm is already paid for so I can't just go somewhere else. This place has turned into a garbage heap. I was very disappointed in ideal image. I went there to get a full syringe of lip filler. I didn't see any difference right after the procedure so I waited a couple weeks and still no changes. The only thing was two big knots on my bottom lip which I did go back and they massaged my lip for about 5 minutes and the knots did not go away. They took pictures and you can clearly see that there was no difference in my lips. I left a review after reaching out to them about this and was asked by them to email them my direct contact information and they would fix the problem. So I did this and no one ever got back to me. Huge disappointment. I would respect the company if they held up to their word rather than just post a reply to my review like they actually care and actually were going to fix the problem. Like I said, lesson learned. Don't waste money here on lip filler. I was pleased with my "wrinkle relaxer" services at Ideal. My biggest regret is the amount of time iI spent- over 2 hours! I usually have the same procedure done in less than 30 minutes elsewhere so plan on extra time for the first visit. There was a consult, paperwork, and a nurse virtual visit and waiting which added up to a long session. I didn't have to fend off over selling of products and services, they offered exactly what I needed at a reasonable price. Nurse was efficient and did an almost painless job (a plus). So far I am pleased with initial results. Injectables are only $10 a unit as a promo vs $13 "regular" pricing. Patients must buy at least $500 worth of units and this is cosmetic only-can't be used with insurance for migraines. I did get $50 off during scheduling process as well. The manufacture also offers specials as well, so make sure you sign up for rewards programs for extra incentives. read more

I must say the nurses have been courteous and helpful. I am disappointed that on my first two laser hair removal visits I did not receive proper treatment. For my 3rd treatment I had a different nurse than normal and she applied aloe to my underarms following the treatment. I asked if this was normal protocol and she answered yes. After my first treatments I experienced a great deal of discomfort, but after my third one I felt as if nothing had been done. Also, on my third visit I was lied to by the receptionist about a late policy that didn't exist. I have never been late before and waited 30 minutes to be seen at a previous appointment without complaint. The receptionist insisted that I be rescheduled and after I asked about the policy she said it's in my contract. I reviewed my contract and there is no policy concerning being late, only a no show policy. Thankfully, a nurse heard us talking and informed the receptionist that she could do my treatment because she didn't have another appointment until 10:50. I was one minute late past the made up 10 minute policy that the receptionist stated was being implemented that day. I was not called back to schedule my next treatment and had to call twice to get my next appointment. Unfortunately, everything is paid for or I would not return to this establishment. read more

I thought I had left a review before initially, and I was here to update it, but I don't see my old review. Anyway, I hate the management at this place. You can never get a hold of anyone that matters and no one calls you back about your concerns. I was having so many issues with them and just wanted to voice my opinion and get some help, but I would call, and call, and call, but nothing! Their voicemail says, "We'll promptly call you back." Apparently, promptly to them means NEVER. I had to reach out to the company page via Facebook to actually get anywhere. Three weeks after that I finally got a voicemail from the "regional manager". Stopped in earlier this week to get a tour of the facility and to get costs for having laser hair removal for both legs (full leg including upper thigh), my bikini and bum bum area, and my armpits. I started off by being greeted by Christine - one of the salespeople there - she was very personal and friendly. I immediately liked her and felt at ease. The inside lobby/waiting area is nice and very modern and clean. They have a nice drink area with a coffee machine and other options while you wait. I was taken to one of the rooms where the hair removal would take place and shown the laser machine and walked briefly through how it would work. After showing her my legs and discussing my specific needs we moved to her office to discuss business. I filled out some paperwork and was given price information. Which I will share below - but I want to stress - this is only for an example because prices shift and change here constantly as far as I can tell - and the sales tactics they use ensure that the prices are variable. $15,000 was the price with the "usual" 45% off. I was quoted around $11,000 and some change with their 60% off 13 year sale and was told if I paid immediately, like that day - I would save another 10% off and it would be around $8300 or so. Then the probing questions began about how I would pay if I paid today - would I need their in-house financing approval - could I phone my boyfriend (who kindly offered to pay for this for me since I've had some health issues and shaving my legs is a stressor of the condition) and get him to agree to pay today to get the 70% off deal which was ONLY for today - and only if I paid by 9pm... etc. Now, I have been thinking about doing laser hair removal for a good long time - I hate shaving and I have hair that grows pretty fast - I also figured it would be around $10,000 or so on the high end. So the prices weren't all that shocking to me really... What I absolutely did not like were the aggressive sales tactics and the feeling that if I didn't make this HUGE purchase today I was going to miss out on $3,000 worth of savings like that. If the price is $8300 today - I don't see what would justify it being $11,000 tomorrow. Not really something that makes me want to hand that kind of money over. Also - I don't like the idea that it's a favor to me to pay someone nearly $10,000. Now, the gal I spoke to was very friendly, don't get me wrong. Personable in a well-practiced friendly yet detached and pushy salesman kind'of way. But it was pushy to say the least and I only wanted to get an idea of the cost to discuss if this was the right option for me with my boyfriend without the added pressure of paying immediately to get a reasonable deal... no thanks. The location was fairly good - near town center in VAB - the inside was immaculately kept and clean and modern. The equipment I saw looked new also - but another thing that rubbed me wrong was the sales gal I spoke to was not the one who would actually do the procedure on me and since I had a rather serious skin infection on my legs - I had some questions about that as the skin healing over my infection is still thin and very discolored (as if I'd been burned and it's been over a year). I wanted someone with medical knowledge to look this over and give their option. The gal I spoke to was of a mind I should go ahead and pay, and on the day of my treatment, meeting me for the first time, the nurses or laser techs would assess my legs and go from there... so it's all about getting my money and worrying about health issues later. Basically after you get approved for what you want the loan company pays them immediately and if you change your mind on wanting a medical fucking procedure, you still have to pay the money for it. I decided I didn't want to go through with the cool sculpting because all of the reviews that nothing really changes. It is a scam-period. Once an iota of interest is expressed in the business, one is bombarded with phone calls, voice messages, emails, and texts. When one relents and decides to try and book an appointment, the representative will go through the process of getting personal information and, for customers who cannot afford the (rather exorbitant) pricing upfront, they will be shunted into a LOAN with lenders who conduct a "hard credit inquiry". Should one have "sufficient" credit, the loan is processed IMMEDIATELY. Now, one would surmise that with loan in hand, an appointment can be scheduled right away? NOT SO; this company has NO APPOINTMENTS for the next several months out, so the customer is left paying on a loan they may never get to use. In addition, the cost for services is considerably higher than advertised, even with putative "discounts" added. This company purports that it provides a "safer alternative service" to that of actual medical procedure. It would be BEST to see a REAL DOCTOR instead of using this company. If one is financially secure and have no qualms about paying for services that are not rendered (and perhaps never will be), this may not be a problem. But if one expects services to be rendered in a timely manner and for registration to be done without lies or chicanery, then this company is not the one. Even after I explicitly told them I did not want a membership and received email confirmation that my membership would not be renewed, Ideal Image kept my credit card information and charged me without my consent. I should I have paid more attention to the negative reviews. Ideal Image charges an annual membership fee which provides "steep discounted services." Check pricing in your local area, the cost of all Ideal Image's services WITH their discount are higher or similar to competitors. I'm giving five stars based on the ladies I interacted with at my first appointment for cool sculpting, not the cool sculpting results itself-just wanted to clarify because I appreciate this app and telling the truth so I can hopefully point someone in the right direction or spare them from an unnecessary financial/emotional hardship:) It obviously takes time to determine if I'll see results, but all of the staff were friendly and ensured I was comfortable during the time I was there. FYI, I had my upper back done (each side was 35 minutes) but was scheduled for my love handles too...I didn't realize they blocked out a 3 hour window of time, so be prepared to stay for a bit. It's been two days post treatment and I'm sore, but I'll let ya'll know if I notice any changes in a few months. I have never been to Ideal Image until now and its was my worst mistake. I bought a whole package of IPL for 4 times. I have only used had gotten the treatment twice and the nurse checked my skin and told me that after the first session that my skin should be looking better. However, it only got worse and they recommend me to go to a dermatologist to check if I had melasma. They had told me that if I had melasma then they would refund me the full amount because it would be their fault that I had even gotten melasma. After I went to the dermatologist and got a medical record, I was informed that I had indeed gotten melasma. I sent the information to Ideal Image, I had gotten no call or email back on the subject. I had called multiple times and each time, someone kept telling me that someone would call me back. It has now been 3 months and I have not received my money back or even a phone call to talk about it. I am in the middle of my service, and I've had repeated cancellations. One when I was in the office waiting, one over the phone, and one via email from the manager. I can't say if the services are worth it, because they're incomplete. The technicians I've had have been nice, but perpetually late, which I believe again to be a management issue. The worst part is that I financed these expensive treatments, so I can't even remove my business and go elsewhere. I got through approximately 10 Brazilian laser treatments and am satisfied with the results. I am very happy to have it done, but it was most definitely a (painful) hassle! Here are my take-aways... Scheduling is a nightmare. You have to book months in advance. IF they have their schedule available that far out. If they do not, then you must call frequently until you can finally schedule (still several weeks out). When you call, they will tell you it is easier to schedule/reschedule via the app. The app does NOT work (at least on an android phone). If you are able to schedule, pray your appointment does not get canceled. If it is canceled on you, ideal image seems to not care at all to reschedule you or make you a priority as a returning customer. You will have to wait several weeks. Likewise if you need to change an appointment for yourself. If you have a nurse that you liked or felt comfortable with and request her for your next appointment, you will be told that you can book with her for next time. It will not happen. You will walk into your next appointment and have someone different. It seems no one speaks to each-other. I can call 3 times and get 3 different answers about available appointments and such. MOST IMPORTANTLY - My last appointment was a NIGHTMARE. To begin with, ALL the things above happened. I scheduled months in advance with a requested nurse and the morning of, my appointment was canceled. Things happen, I get it. But I was told there were NO available appointments in the books for the next 2 months and that I could not schedule further out because the schedule was not available yet. I was told to use the app in the coming weeks to look for an appointment. I called later that day because I got a text reminding me of my appointment that was canceled by ideal image and wanted to ensure I did not get penalized. I asked that person (a different person than I spoke to that morning) about appointment availability and was told of appointments later that SAME day and also that next week. I got in that day and wish I didn't. The nurse burned me SO incredibly bad! That's right ladies - it was a Brazilian laser treatment. Severe burn marks and a blister that opened up and was extremely painful (and awkward!) I called to let them know. They basically said oh that's awful, sorry. The laser settings were up way too high. I don't know what I expected them to do, but truthfully hoped they told the nurse (as I requested!) so this does not happen to anyone else! NOTE: The day after my initial call, I did get a follow up call and email advice from one caring and knowledgable nurse. That same nurse checked on me a week later and seemed to actually care about what happened to me. Thank you to Giovanni! I had planned to take advantage of more services that Ideal Image has to offer and I am disappointed that I definitely will not be doing so. Furthermore I am upset that I chose Ideal Image partially because of the lifetime guarantee. Fast-forward, I have the baby and try to reschedule, only to be told that my services are being declined because my contract time is up. I was initially excited to start laser hair removal, I was sold on quick appointments in and out that I could even go on my lunch hour. My first few visits went well, then the customer service went plunging down hill. I cannot remember the last time I did not wait over 20+ minutes past my appointment time. The staff is always changing, I have not seen the same provider twice. The worst was when they were over 40 minutes behind and the staff acted like I was inconveniencing them. Today it happened again, was told they were running on time, 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment I asked to be rescheduled. Your time is not important, only your money! While the treatments do work the poor service is why I will not go back or recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY! A complete rip off and a scam.. I did a consolation i was asked if I wanted to get "pre approved" for funding for the cool sculpting procedure.. I was pre approved and told them I wanted to wait because I wasn't sure if I would be in town for the procedure.. they still decided to move Forward with the Loan WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!! I didn't find out until the credit company was reaching out to me months later for my "first payment" they took the money and I DID NOT RECEIVE THE PROCEDURE!! I went up to ideal image 4 times to explained what was going on. They had no information for me and kept telling me they don't know why that had happened and they were working on it.. that was a year ago to this very day I am still dealing this situation! I can't get them on the phone and when I go up there they act completely confused!! They are A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. Please do not go them do your research..
